Happy late morning to everyone! The scale bumped up for me today which was unfortunate, but I'm still trucking along. I guess I had too much sub sandwich last night for supper??? Anyway, I totally would've had some kind of sweet treat after supper, but it wasn't planned, so I told myself "no" so I could consider myself OP for the 7 day challenge. I gotta start weighing twice weekly once I hit goal. This daily stuff can be misleading. I try to always look at the overall trends so I can see the progress even when it doesn't look promising on a day-to-day basis. Another busy day planned here. I'm getting the house picked up for my grandparents' visit. It's mostly my room that needs attention (I didn't get to it last week as planned) and then sweeping and vacuuming. Good times!
LouisaH-I don't usually do a weekly cheat meal, but that's how May has fallen for me. Many situations came up that I just chose to incorporate into my plan. The cheat meal to which I refer is absolutely not counting anything, calorie-wise, and indulging in treats that I normally can't fit into my calories. To tell the whole truth, this time it's a local buffet we're going to on Saturday. We haven't been there in a month and a half, so it's a super special treat. It's my family's VERY favorite local place. The kids all request it, if given a choice, and so does DH for that matter. onestar-Don't be discouraged. Get some extra fiber in your diet and drink plenty of fluids (water mainly) and things will work themselves out. I find the fluids especially important right before and during TOM. Also, I used to not even track fiber, but now it's one of the main things I focus on. Hope you feel better soon!! |
Hi Everyone!! Life has been so crazy!!!!been busy busy girlfriend. Glad to see everyone has been doing great.
Tuesday a friend and I got a wild hair we decided to go hiking at the trails. We left the battle field at 6:30pm. We hiked 1.8 miles. Decided to hike the next 1.8. On the way back it started getting dark. We got about a mile from the battle field it was dark. We got to see the sun set. It was beautiful! We scared some deer. They were so pretty. One doe jumped in the creek and swam across to the other side. It was 9:40pm when we got back to the parking lot. That was a 7.2 mile hike. I had already hiked the other end of the trail earlier in the day. I got 9.1 miles in!!! Yeah!!!! My goal is to walk the whole 12 mile trail. I have to wait for the rain to stop and dry up a bit. I weighed in at 153.4 this morning. I broke the 154 that I was stuck at for ever!! Now I need to hold it and not creep back to 154. My DD and I went to Good Will to get some shorts. I bought size 12's. I cant believe they fit. I got a bit rambunctious and bought a pair of 11's. They are a little bit tighter (read smothered) than I like, but something to work into :-)) I have lab work on the 18th. Was sooooo hoping to be 150 by then but........... please wish me luck. hi i'm new.... i've been 123lb for over 3 weeks now, but 2 days ago discovered calorie counting!!!!!!! Yeah, slow learner.
I'm still 123 but my modest target for the end of may is to be safely under 122! This is extremely dull for everyone else obviously, but will be super exciting for me. Stand by for thrilling updates through may...... |

MsP: thanks and i hope your garage sale goes great and you make a ton of money lol! eclipse: that is my favorite salad from mcdonalds! they're a little pricey, but worth it to me. my mom came and got my daughter for the evening so me and the man got to spend some time together. i went and got an MP3 player. don't laugh. i'm so behind on that kind of technology but am planning to get a droid powered phone in the kind -of- near future. but i'm SO bored when i go to the park by myself and i see everyone jamming while they work out, and well i just think i needed one. and i also got a waist trimmer belt. has anyone ever tried one of those? i'm curious. my man was trying to get me to get one of those sauna suits but i just think they look so goofy. "but he says you gotta think about your goal!" i may try it soon. i'm not sure. (no offense to any of you if u use one) he seems to think they work pretty good. do they? well, good night everyone. i've been up since 4:30a.m. so i'm ready for bed. |
I got on the scale this morning. I lost .2. Better than nothing! So I wont make my goal my the 18th. I will be close. I am just wanting it over with.
I got a hot stick hair curler yesterday. I am eager to use it and see what the sexy spiral curls look like. I have wanted one of these for months. I was blessed to be able to get one. I went with DD to the Good Will store. I got 3 pair of shorts. I fit size 12 but got brave and got one pair of size 11. They fit tighter (read smothered) than I like. Gives me something to work for. Well, the last 2 days have been a crazy ride. Food was not good yesterday with some binging. Today I'm going to plan my meals ahead of time and not let the insane stuff going on around me influence my eating. Hi, how are you doing? I have been eating on plan and I have been reading your post but I did not feel well to write here. I have to start to plan my trip to Argentina and honestly I do not want to go, but after almost 9 years without seeing my family I have to go. The good thing is that I have not binged in almost 2 months.

The beginning of my TOM I always gain 2 pounds. 4 days in it is gone.

usually TOM doesnt effect my weight loss, but this month it has. i have hit a plateau, and hopefully when TOM is over, my plateau will be over too. ;)

Funny how you mention TOM and I get it today :P. Maybe that is why I went from 207 to 209, if so that is awesome and I can wait to see what I weight on Monday :D

Thanks for your answers :) I have been a little less than 3 months on the weight loss wagon, and I’m trying to find out how it affects me. That is why I ask you. I used to think that I lose less weight the week before it arrives but this month it is not like that.

hello ladies.. how has every1 been? Sorry for not checking in here for more than a week.. been very busy with my final exams prep in the univ :book2:
so here are my updates! SW: 250 cw: 243 GW: 240 (or less :o) My first week was really bad with regards to the weight loss.. i was op and lots of exercise but .. didn loose a single pound!Gladly 2nd week till now has been amazing .. 7lbs lost :D... hopefully that shud continue .. This past week i have incorporated juices in my diet.. replacing my snacks with 2/3 glasses of fresh made juice.. and oh they r color coded lol.. red, green and orange :D .. the RED one consists of beetroot ( i cud never have this in my salad), carrots and tomatoes .... the GREEN consists of spinach.. parsley.. cabbage.. mint.. and other leafy greens wotever i can get.. the ORANGE one oranges , grapefruit and limes. Omg.. just 1 week of starting to have fresh juices. i can see this amazing glow on my face:o my updated weight loss goals for the rest of may are : maintain my food diary continue juicing loose 3 or more pounds ( 7 lbs lost.. so that will make a total of 10 for the month) |
I went MIA again last month! Sorry! Graduating college was a little more hectic than I had originally thought it would be! Anyways, I didn't reach my 10 lb goal but I got half way there. Then... I got food poisoning so for the entire week I have had nothing but liquids and crackers >:( Anyways, I lost 10 lbs as a result of the craziness. I don't want to lose anymore weight this month because that is a really fast and drastic change for my body, so I plan on maintaining the weight I am at and getting my body back to a healthy and happy state :)

First the Bad News: Yesterday was another OP day - that makes 4 or 5 in a row. I'm purposely avoiding the scale this morning. Now the Good News: I woke up & recommitted to a healthier lifestyle. I have to find a way to live my life despite all the craziness that goes on around me. I'm going to spend time today gardening, making this week's menu and re-collecting myself. Wooo, it's awfully quiet around here. That usually doesn't mean anything good! I for one can say that I ate so much today that my stomach hurt. Actually, I don't think it was how much I ate so much as what I ate that made me feel sick. We had our CSA member/producer potluck today and I tried lots of different things, including some fruit juice punch (I never drink that) and lots of desserts (I'll eat dessert, but very little these days), and I just felt full and cramped. It was awful. It was definitely more than I normally eat, and I totally guessed at my calories. I'm just glad it's over and I can move on. It reminded me of why I'm really happy I made this change in my life--I hate that feeling of being bloated and full, and that was a pretty common occurrence I my pre-weight-loss life. Yuk.
I've been the same weight for three days (actually up .2 today), and was looking forward to seeing a drop, but don't expect to after today! Bummer. I'm starting over for the 7 days OP challenge too. How's everyone doing, now that we're half way through the month? |

I/m hanging in there. I'm doing fine in terms of eating, but not so much in terms of weight loss. I've pretty muvh stayed the same for the past week - no ups, but no downs either I've been up and down between 224.6 and 224.2. I'm eating OP, though, so it'll happen at some point. I'm considering finally starting some light aerobics again with WATPs, but I'm kind of paranoid about hurting my back again.

Sorry for being MIA, but I was graced with both TOM and the flu for the last several days. It wasn't pretty. I spent most of yesterday in bed alternating between sweating and freezing. Today I feel some better, but still wish I could rest more. I'm not gonna do personals, but I did read everyone's posts and updated the list. Food hasn't been very OP, so I'm going to work on that. I barely ate yesterday but today I've been snacking on junk. I'll get back to normal soon, I'm quite sure!

I'm down 0.5 pounds this week to 133 today. I have one week left to get to 132. After next Monday, I will be on vacation until June 3rd so no more weigh ins for the month.
For some reason, I'm not that motivated despite being close to goal. I think I'm afraid of success. But I commit to staying on plan & doing my planned run. Weather is cool and cloudy, which is perfect for exercise. |

Back from the dead!!
Argh! I feel like it's been an eternity since I've been on. I have to say that without all my logging in and logging stuff on my sites I really don't do as well. I have had no internet for the most part lately as I had to get a different company (I did an oops and told the satellite guy he could use my cable line, so no internet after that). Then my comp was eaten, and will eventually die (my hard drive has issues now)... but hey I'm still here and it's managing again for now.
So, hi all! Hope it's been a good month! :carrot: I'm hoping to pick it up and make progress this month! my goal seems farfetched at this point, but we will see.... the dreaded TOM is here and since I haven't watched closely I'm not sure if my current weight reflects this. Time will tell. So, in closing I am going to weigh in in the morning and let yall kow the damage. |

Good morning, ladies (and any lurking gentlemen)! I'm starting to feel a little better, though my tummy is still messing with me some, and I think this flu junk is almost out the door. I'm shooting to get back on track and have a POP day to help me heal up and get back to my "normal" schedule with food and exercise. I'm hoping I can run this afternoon, but we'll see how my tummy does until then. I also plan to play in the softball game tonight unless I regress horribly. That means I need to rest up today and get to feeling better ASAP!
motivated chickie-I hear ya loud and clear. I can easily get CLOSE to goal, but then I ease up and almost refuse to let myself get there. Why is that? SO weird! Here's to your success. I know you can do it! lesmith-Congrats on starting the program! I'm sure you'll amaze yourself many times with what you can accomplish on that program! Gamerlady-Sorry to hear we were blocked, but I guess it makes sense. Hope we still hear from you when time permits at home! NightAngel-So glad to have you back!! Who knows if the weight is "real" gain or TOM or water weight, but you can start back into your healthy choices and I'm sure it'll come back down relatively quickly. Well, after a week long stall, I woke up this morning to a one pound loss since yesterday, down to 223.2. I'm hoping it isn't a fluke number, and that tomorrow is still 223 point something. Tomorrow I have to get through an end of the year pizza party at my kids' homeschool charter. It's a potluck, though, so I'm trying to come up with something I can bring to eat and share that is OP AND doesn't involve fruits or vegetables (I live in Mexico and the charter school is in the US, and the US Customs department won't let me bring most fruits and veggies across the border!).

Today was the big day. I met my new doctor. My doctor left for a better position. Now I have a new doctor to break in. The good news is I weighed in at 152. Two pounds from goal.
The sad news is my sister is in the hospital. Dehydrated and hullicinating. Vomiting and diareah. They are going to keep her for a few more hours to make sure she has proper hydration and urinating before she can go home. Our younger sister is angry over the whole deal :-/ I am going to call her this evening to see how she is doing. There are 5 sisters :-) |
Well no gym for me yesterday because I was at the car dealer buying a brand new ride :D So today it was back to the grind, 60mins of cardio followed by 40mins on weights. I also saw a nice little whoosh on the scale so I'm pretty stoked about that as well. It's been a great weekend for me so far (my weekend is Tues/Wed)!

I'm RAVENOUS. What's wrong with me?
I feel like I need to spend the day exercising so I can just FEED. I have sugar and carbs in my system and they are trying to do me in. Someone throw a life preserver, quick! I am eating every possible calorie allotted to me, and even fudging on some things to give me a couple more here or there. I know I'm not fooling anyone but myself, but did I mention that I'm ravenous? I am too committed to totally blow it and eat whatever I want, but I am going to slow my weight loss way down if I don't snap out if it quick. I've stalled out at 173 (give or take a pound) for the last 12 days and I will never reach my goal this month if this insatiable urge to eat EAT EAT doesn't pass quickly. What do I do? |
