  • Good Morning Girls and Guys (if any)

Just stopping by quickly - not much to report. I am having a good start to Dec, staying OP and sticking to my exercise (even though it was raining last night I still took the dog out for a walk - only just under 2 miles yesterday as it was really coming down!)

My last weigh in of the week tomorrow - hoping to see a drop! I am so so so close to onderland it is driving me nuts! I gotta crack this 200 code!!!

Have a happy and OP day!
  • hello all! I'm in for a december challenge!

I'm at 198 right now (first time under 200 in years)... I'd like to be down to 185 for the new year... I've consistently lost 10lbs a month since September so I need to keep it up... though I'm sure its going to get much harder as time goes on.

    GOALS:
    lose between 8-12lbs safely
work out minimum 4 days per week (45min or more minimum)
get back into classes at the gym (zumba/cardio-kickboxing)
take measurements of arms/legs AND shrink them!
(i've lost 7in. from stomach area, 5in. from hips but never got measurements for arms or legs)

I feel like everything is shrinking except my legs ha! we'll see what a little more time will do.

good luck to everyone, we've got this!

  • Hello everyone, hope all is going well today!

Things are pretty good here, Since I have made a chart for my water intake it has really helped me to get my water in. I am drinking around 100 oz a day and can you believe it I am finally off the diet pepsi. I don't have any in the house and I have not even bought any when I am doing my errands around town... I am so excited at least I have reached that goal. So lets just hope that things will improve in the weight loss area.
Tonight is the big night for my son in the Christmas concert. He looks so handsome in his new clothes. Can't believe he is only 14 and stands 6'1" he doesn't get that from me LOL. Have a wonderful blessed day
  • Good morning all! It's a good morning here, anyway. I got in my STing and 30DS. The afternoon running has gone okay so far. I have a little less energy, I think, but it's so much nicer running in daylight. The temps are starting to drop, so I need to get my butt in gear and buy some better gear to stay warm. It had been okay until this week, but the wind is killin' me!

to all those who are joining us for the first time! This is a great place for support whether you check-in daily, weekly or whatever suits your schedule.

k8zilla-Congrats on making it to onederland! I know it seems like certain parts get smaller WAY slower than others, but the measurements will sure help when your eyes aren't seeing the differences. Just FYI, we have an exercise sister thread if you want the additional accountability of posting your workouts there.

Nella-There is a degree of craziness that comes with the holidays, but for me it's a good craziness. It means more traveling to see family More opportunities to remind people that you appreciate them More music, games, gifts and general family togetherness I LOVE it! Oh, of course there's also more food! But, who needs "normal" anyway? LOL

LaurenA-Excellent job getting out there despite the weather!

Tummy-Hope your trips to the city are productive! It's about that far for me to go to Minneapolis for shopping, entertainment and whatnot. I don't bother with it now, though. I can get what I need around here for the most part. Once we get into our house, I'll be more likely to make that trip since it'll be more convenient then.

Blondie-I'm with Tummy on this. You're not a loser. You had things ging on that took priority for that time. Now you're here and we're SO glad you're back!
  • Hey guys, just saw this on Costco's website. They have BodyBug for $179.
    http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...=18&lang=en-US

Now, to hurry up and get paid next week so i can buy it!
  • Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in and let everyone know I had a much better day yesterday and have been doing really well today. I'm on my way to the gym right now, so no time for personals! Have a great evening everyone!
  • My goal is to lose 10 lbs by Dec 31st.

    SW 202/205
    GW 195
  • Oh my gosh, FSA! I forgot to say howdy to you!! So glad to "see" you're still out there. I ran into Lewisempire on another thread. It warms my heart to know ya'll are still around and doing alright. I hope things settle for you soon so we can see more and more of you!

Today was pretty good. Got some cleaning done, got my exercise in, etc. I'm pretty exhausted and really looking forward to my "rest" day tomorrow, although I have plenty to do. Grocery shopping, errands, checking out what's going on at the house (I guess they've been busy), and the usual laundry, childcare, cooking, cleaning, etc. Thankfully my morning is pretty open so I can get my daily fix of 3FC before things get too busy!
  • oooo! i just saw 289.6 on the scale!! I will probly bounce back up into the 90s after a day or two but at least i'm trending inthe right direction!!
  • GREAT to hear katkitten! your on the right track, just keep it up!

Thanks for the tip with the body bug Nella. I have got to get one of these, just wish they weren't so expensive! i'm sure it will be well worth it though, I'm hoping good ol st.nick will throw in for this one.

is there a general conversation thread for this challenge or do we post right on here?

thanks ladies for all the support! i'm really excited to see what december will bring us all... OR TAKE from us, rather.
  • Thanks!
I know. I realllllly want a Bodybugg too! I have my little heartrate monitor that i use during my workouts but it is too uncomfortable to wear all the time and not very accurate.
  • katkitten-Yay on seeing a glimpse of a new decade! I can't wait to see my next one since it represents the end of the losing journey and the beginning of the maintenance one.

k8zilla-This is the general chat area. The sister exercise thread is more of just posting updates of progress exercise-wise. Here we do updates and chat about weight and related progress or just whatever nonsense we decide to discuss!

    LINZLUV-Welcome!

A tiny blip up on the scale today with the arrival of TOM last night. The old rings were a tad snug this morning, so I knew it wasn't gonna show a loss. I was OP and have been all week, so I'm feeling good about that. There's plenty to consider/allow for this month. Tomorrow is birthday party day for DD and DS. We rented a pool community room, so they're both having pool parties and just taking turns doing cake and presents in the community room. DS is having a chocolate cake with ice cream and DD is having cheesecake. They each requested their type of cake and I figured, 'why not give them each what they want?' This is their first birthday party since we moved to this area and I want it to be a good memory. The cheesecake isn't the yummy homemade kind that is super tempting for me. It's just that no-bake boxed kind which is less fat and cals. And DS's is a lightened up version, so if DH or I choose to have a piece of one or the other, they're "safe" foods as long as we only have one serving. I'm kinda hoping the kids polish it off, but if there are leftovers I'm sure DH and I will have a taste. I've already worked it into my cals for tomorrow though, so that's taken care of. The rest of the day, I've planned 'normal' meals, so we don't have an excuse to eat out or whatever. DD's "real" bday has passed and I handled that very well. DS's bday is Tuesday and we are meeting my parents to eat out and celebrate. That may present more of a challenge. For today, I'm golden. Meals are planned, it's a busy day. I'm bound to see good things tomorrow on the scale.
