hey girls! sorry i haven't been around. I pretty much suck at life at the moment. I have a very crazy weekend and never got around to weighing in. Last week sucked food wise, socially it was great!

I have gained a bit of weight. very disappointed. I am working everyday until Christmas. I usually do better on days that i work. It is really hard to work when i feel bloated or full, so hopefully this week will be better for me!

well i had a busy weekend family xmas party. it was very nerve racking it a long story. basicly adults acting like spoiled brats in short. any the eating was fine no over eating. I do know i have been drinking way to much soda lately though that i need to work on today and this week.

Good morning Ladies~ I have so much good news to tell you all. Geez where to begin. I was stressing because my YMCA membership ran out midnight last night . I was committed to my exercise program and this challenge. I honestly didn't know what I was going to do. I texted my ex last night. He gave me the membership as a Christmas gift last year. This morning I got a call from Becky at Y telling me my membership has been extended to the end of the month : Seems they shorted me 10 days on the current membership. I can continue my workouts and classes 10 more days!!!!! Good news 2) drum rolls........I stepped on the scale this morning it said 167 !!! a 2 pound loss. Did I just say 167???? I am one pound from this months goal!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! So here I come. Thanks for listening to my rambling Pat

Congrats on the weight loss girls! Way to go.

I am re-committing again. Everyday a new one, right? The good news is I am logging all my calories, the bad news is I keep eating too many. Plus it is not healthy food choices. Today will be better.

Terapet~I had an idea that works for me. I began thinking of my calories as dollar bills. My allowance is 1200-1250. Every morning morning I am given 1200 dollars to spend on calories. As with real money I want the best bang for my calorie bucks. If I dont want to spend my calorie bucks on a food I pass it up. It has given me a whole new out look on foods and calories. Just and idea hope it helps you.

I lost another 2 pounds when I weighed in this morning. it said 165. WOOO HOOO!!!!! Went to the store and loaded up on peppers, broccoli zuchini, cucumbers, box of raisins, apples, and oranges. I got a bag of raw natural almonds for snacks. on my way to 150 Pat

I'm glad to see you guys active and such. I've just been looking for a job, very irritating and crazy. A bit of good news, I'm getting money from my retirement fund so I can pay my rent at least. I wont be able to go visit my family which is really depressing but that is my life. Also, I should have my internet back in about a week, thank god!

JasonsLea-Good for you getting out there and looking for your next job. I'm glad to hear you found the funds to pay your rent.

Dixiemae-I love your idea about looking at the calories as if they were dollars. I am always very careful about spending money. Maybe your idea will help me transfer some of that discipline to how I eat!

Maenad-I just starting back to writing down what I eat again. It definitely helps but I still manage to eat too much! I will keep working on it though. Thanks.

This thread is awfully quiet. I haven't been here myself, I know. I enjoyed catching up on the reading though. I was wondering if there's going to be a
G2010 in the new year. I bet this thread gets hopping again after the new year. I miss Eny's motivating posts. I may just go back and find some and read them.
