My calories total for the day were 1595, which is fine since I did work out. I hope tomorrow shows 208, which means I could actually go below my weekly goal by Sunday! AJ I LOVE your new pic! You are so gorgeous! Alyssa is sounds like the food was delicous and hey, you deserve a plate! Since you walked, you may very well lose weight from today! You did great and should be proud of yourself. Heck, I would have had several plates - I LOVE holiday foods! Popcorn your bath sounds awesome. I could really use a calgon getaway ;-) I am so impressed with your workout 4.5 miles not including fuzzy!! WOW! You are my inspiration ;-) Well, I am signing off for the day. I'm finishing a very late dinner now and am at 1200 for the day allowing for a couple of cutie clementines after dinner if I feel the need. Got a promotion at work (yes, you are talking to a woman who now finally has her own office, well not quite yet, but hopefully by next week!) so went shopping to celebrate and got a few treats that I didn't really need but really wanted including more yummy smelling bath stuff (right there with ya' popcorn!) and the most adorable 40s style cocktail hat http://www.bakersshoes.com/product.aspx?c=281&p=139676 which made me think of you, Lindy - aren't you doing a pin-up theme party for your b-day? Well...I had a long day...we had our venue team builder and I dived right into the wine...oh yeah I am feeling a bit - ah you could say woo hoo hah!
Anyway not smart considering - I am already dizzy from the med withdrawal, I have two projects still to do and it's 10PM and I have a trainers appointment at 7AM. So...I'm going to sleep for a few hours, get up do the project, go to the gym and suffer through work tomorrow... I am kind of disappointed but I really just wanted to have fun and not worry you know...but also irresponsible because I am already behind on work and now there is no way I am weighing in tomorrow because of all the sodium I consumed tonight...yikes. Oh god...I've pulled allnighters before...I can do it again!!! Guess I will be in bed by 6PM tomorrow night lol. Well I will check in at lunch and let you know how it goes...should be interesting... |
Can anyone say - god help me lol...5AM and going strong - but considering I have to stay this way until 7PM - OMG. I am no spring chicken anymore!! I've had three big bottles of water, lots of TUMS and a big fat wine headache...the consequences of misspent judgement last night!

Dance congratulations on the promotion!!!!!! I know you are on cloud nine right now and you deserve every moment of it! I love the hats and wish I had opportunities to wear them more. It's hot here and Floridians aren't stylish that way - maybe because no 'seasons' weather??? I know up north when we lived in Michigan we use to wear hats and my mom was always a stylish hat wearer. It more or less stopped when my family moved to Florida.........boring Florida at times.......... Your calories were great yesterday. Good for you!!

aj - once again, I absolutely love your photo - you have the prettiest eyes! I'd say keep doing what you're doing through the weekend and monitor how your clothes fit - I bet your shape is changing even if you're not seeing it immediately on the scale due to something else (your system getting used to not having alli, hormones, who knows). I have a feeling you would look as gorgeous in hats as you do in everything else!! staccie - poor you! Sounds like a few days from **** workwise - so sorry! all nighters are fine for munchkins but I feel like they take a much bigger toll as we get a little older. Hope you can make up for it all this weekend. How's the allergic reaction? Better I hope! mygrits - no workout for me today either but I'm going to make up for it tomorrow by running and walking with friends. Hope the long day at work is okay on your feet. Dance - allergic reaction - bad - can't even wear make-up today and I hurts..I look like I have crop circles...ick. I just hope it clears up soon. Its quite painful when I sweat at the gym! It's painful just sitting here. But my dizziness is mostly gone...I hope! AJ - I had to reschedule with my trainer...I would have puked. I am not sure what to suggest about your weight...but maybe it's taking some time to adjust... Sandy - life would be so much better if we didn't have to work heh?? I have some meetings today that I am not looking forward to either...but I hope you have a good day regardless!!!! Dance - I just read back a bit about promotion...that's awesome!!! Congrats!! Dancer - Congratulations on the promotion! Love the hat too. I was so mellow after my bath last night I turned off the TV and read a book. Alyssa - good job on staying within your calorie range and walking too. I totally loved the sunshine. I am getting out after work today too. AJ - Your new picture is beautiful. Although, I was partial to the romanticism of your previous picture. Check out my rant below - I am about to go off the deep end too. Grits - I hope your scales moves today too. I think it will. Don't worry about not getting your workout in being on your feet all day will burn some calories. I don't know if I mentioned it on this thread but I took a Biggest Loser mentality on this weight loss. I figured if they can work out six hours a day and lose large amounts while controlling their calories. I can work out more than I normally would and lose more than I normally would. So far so good. My other thing I try NOT to do is WEIGH myself during the week. Flucuations can be very discouraging even though you are working your butt off. Of course the temptation proved too great twice this week - I should know better. :rolleyes: I got on the scale Wednesday and was bummed out because my weight was up. Yesterday I rationalized that it was water weight and don't let it get to me. So being a real dumba** I got on the scale again today and my weight was back to where it was on Saturday, which is weigh in day. Essentially a flatline for the week. I am thinking "What the fudge?" .....only I didn't say fudge. SERIOUSLY, it IS mathematically impossible for me to stay within my calorie range every day for the whole week and walk an average of 3 brisk miles a day every day and NOT lose weight. Unless .....my body is OUT TO GET ME! Well I got news for my stupid sh*t metabolism who thinks it is never going to see another kernel of popcorn and thinks it is starving to death: I can be just as stubborn as you are!!!! :mad: I am not going to give up....... I am going to keep on counting calories AND continue my quest to walk my buns into steel. Stay tuned to see who wins: My metabolism or ME! :boxing: |

popcorn - is there any chance you're eating too little to be losing given your activity level? If that's out, have you tried calorie cycling? A couple of us have found that to be a plateau buster. Good luck! staccie - such a bummer on the allergies. Can you take half a benadryl to calm things down? |
OMFG!!! Sorry but I just had to get that out. It has been 2 days of pure **** at work and I binge at BIG TIME, I wouldnt be surprised if there was a gain. Im so mad at myself lately, I cannot get in the zone (and stay in it) these days, Ive even gotten super lazy with working out, I only did 2 freakin days this week - GOD HELP ME. Not too much else to report on, I feel like shiz and my day is almost over and I still have a ton of crap to wrap up, then Gabriellas soccer game tonight. Okay! I have turned this boat around and I happy as a clam. I have been cleaning. Will be cleaning for hours to come but I found the greatest work out. Dancing while cleaning while listening to loud music. Wow. I never thought I would say this but I LOVE TO CLEAN/DANCE!! I am sure I look like an idiot and I wish I could catch it on web cam for you all to have a friday night laugh. Maybe I will take a pic! I might be out of Calories today but Protein shake and some veggies will be a fine dinner!! I can not tell you what a turn around this is from 2 hours ago!!! =) Have skinny and fun nights ladies! Man today was bad. We went to get the last few things I need for Thanksgiving today. So while we were out, I had chinese for lunch. Then for dinner I had fried chicken and grapes, then I had a jello pudding pop. Those are only 90 calories but I know I was probably way over my calories for the day already. I want to get to 199 so bad, but cant seem to eat great to help myself get there. I just want to be 199 by December 21st. I have to get my sh** straight and do it. Its only 5 lbs!!!!!!!!!! I did walk a mile today, first workout all week. My back didnt hurt today but I didnt want to overdo it. I may turn on the Wii and do a little yoga before bed. Gonna drink lots of water tonight and hope I dont see a gain in the morning.
AJ-:carrot: yay for finding your license, I hate when I lose something but know it is in my house somewhere. I know how you feel about not losing anything. I keep going from 204 to 205 to 204.........it sucks. Your new avatar is so pretty. You will make it back to 130 and be smoking hot!!! Sandy-I need to do what you are doing. I'm not seeing progress on the scale after my being good kick this week but I am wearing size 10 jeans for the first time in at least 8 years so somehow my shape is changing and I will take it happily! I'm off to walk with some girlfriends and have lunch with my parents. Hope you all are having a good one! |

Wow, busy board, which is awesome. I wonder how Tiff is, as I haven't seen her on here is a few days?? ;-( Dance I hope you got highlights for me too! LOL........I am so behind in highlights all I see is brown and gray! I need a makeover......BAD! Anyway, have fun today with your friends and HOOYAH on the size 10 jeans!!! Awesome! AJ I love the jeans on the frigerator door - great idea! Whatever works to remind us of our goals and what is more important, food or health! I use to hang my bathing suit and my favorite pair of shorts on the closet door, so everytime I walk by I saw them......LOL. I hope today is great for you and hey, how about a Saturday workout? Lindy it is really ridiculous that I live this close and haven't been to Orlando! I use to go down every Sunday to spend the day with my parents and shop or whatever, but when I started working that all went to ****. I never go anywhere it seems. I was going down Thanksgiving, but now my parents are coming here......soooooooo no plans immediately, but I will let you know. Oh, Bubba is doing alright, but his back has been hurting lately. He hasn't lost anymore weight though, as he seems to have lost interest in it. However, I don't think he has gained back what he lost - thank goodness! Maybe Christmas??? LOL........Hey, how about a serious workout today? Come on Lindy! Popcorn love your attitude.......and you WILL win. Dance had a point, your body could have become complacent with the same routine, meaning foods and/or workout. Change it up. Change up your workout....like bike ride instead of walk, or something else. Change up calories too. Sometimes you have to keep your body guessing, which will actually get in weightloss. Burgund I am glad your back to doing light exercise, hope the aching is almost gone. The only foods I am eating, or trying to is healthy foods. I don't eat processed, or fast foods anymore. I actually don't eat alot if meat or chicken anymore either. I didn't plan it that way, it's just how I have been eating lately. I love oatmeal in the morning with fruit, or waffles with fruit. Lunch I eat a veggie wrap, salad, or tuna sandwhich and for dinner I eat a sweet potatoe and salad, or an Amy's dinner (if at work). They are frozen organic meals like Enchiladas, Veggie Lasagna and stuff. I also love breakfast for dinner too.....yummm. I could be more creative with foods, but with my busy schedule now and being at work during lunch and dinner I have to do quick foods. If I were home I would cook more healthy meals. My snacks include fruits, dark chocolate (curbs my sweet tooth), yogurt and almonds. Well, work day today, so I won't be on here again until tomorrow. I am going to workout now. I made it through the day - I was up until about 9PM - I won't be doing that again anytime soon! I had a bad eating day yesterday too - being hungover, with no sleep and stressed doesn't help. I only ate a tuna subway until 7PM and then I had some ice cream (a mini container) - :( sigh. And today I can't really eat cause I went to the dentist and my mouth is all numb and drooly lol. I probably won't do awesome today but that is fine, just no sweets and I'm definitely not working out. Tomorrow I will get back to things properly. I'm about to go and see New Moon and obviously won't have any popcorn because I might chew off my tongue (that little trick worked wonders for me today - going to the dentist before the movies so I can't eat). Anyhoo - my face is kind of clearing up I think - it's still dry but getting better. Took the stuff back and it was a good experience. I use their other products so just won't be putting it on my skin. Work was stressful yesterday and won't be letting up but I am really trying to stay positive - I worked so hard for this experience I want to stop and smell the roses once in awhile and be proud of how far I have come :) Popcorn - sorry to hear about the weight thing - but good on you for not letting the metabolism win - I watch the biggest loser and sometimes they work so hard and don't see a change (or gained) and I think maybe because you have consistently been losing so much, your body is just hanging on to it with vigor now...calorie cycling is great, also increasing the amount of protein you eat (it's worked for me) and I know it's worked for some other awesome ladies on here too! Regardless, I bet next week you will see a change! I so hear you on the scale too, I worked out like a demon all week and did good and I was up on Thursday from Sunday...I know there is no way I am - so I am just staying off that damn thing for awhile. I know I'm losing inches and that's all that matters - are you measuring and/or trying on too small clothes for another more accurate tool of your progress? That really helps!! Dance - yeah for size 10 that is so awesome - and I hear you about the salon I hate getting my hair done I only like watching other people and getting a head massage. I am ready for highlights too, my grey hair shows up too much now! Hope you had a great afternoon too! AJ - congrats on finding the DL - that is awesome and love your profile pic - you are sooo pretty! Jeans on the door works good and so do pictures from before that you like and ones from later that you don't! I had a really bad day yesterday. I went thanksgiving shopping today and seeing as I am a shopaholic I feel good today. I haven't really eaten today. 4 baby carrots and a atkins coconut bar (candy with protein). Not sure whats going on and I know that can be just as bad as over eating but I am really not hungry. House is clean so I feel good. Those two things are tied together for me. Be back soon!! <3 |

AJ, awww I am so sorry your day yesterday was bad, but hey shopping is GREAT therapy! I hope today is better and if your not hungry that's OK, but don't go too long without nutrients. Morning, ladies! I'm up at five in the morning as the bf couldn't sleep and I'm too light a sleeper to not wake up when he does. I probably won't get my hike in today after all but I'll see if I can get him to go on a couple hour walk along highline canal instead. Went xmas shopping with my mom yesterday and I feel like I'm starting to make a dent in it.

Hi chicks...quiet weekend on here.
Well I had a busy day yesterday - saw New Moon and it was ok - maybe cause I was drooling and could smell and could not eat popcorn it was not as good as it could have been. Then I went to a gay 80's pool party for awhile (with my stylist) - and that was an experience! I saw more penises than I have in a long time but they sure weren't noticing me! And last night I had a dream about a half penis and seagull chasing me around the streets - I can't even imagine what that means lol! I woke up laughing. I'm not weighing myself today - no way - I didn't eat much yesterday because of the teeth. And I cant work out until my face gets a bit better. The sweat stings it so bad it cracks...but I will eat good anyway! My face is healing though - I hope within a few days I will look half decent again! Dance - I used to be a light sleeper until I moved downtown, now I sleep like a rock for the most part unless really stressed. Glad to hear you made a dent in the xmas shopping - I'm very jealous! Alyssa - congrats on the 219 - you will get there!!! Oh and housework - mine is so bad!!! Busy day today - but wanted to check in to let you know my weight - 156.5 same as last week.
I didn't get to exercise yesterday but I did get a 4.5 mile walk in today. Will check in again tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone. |
Quick check in. Had a long day with the boys today. I weighed in this morning, still at 204. Planned on eating good today, but that went all to he11. Sucks, and I think I know what it is. All summer I had veggies all the time(cheap) from the farmers market. Now that the farmers market is over I dont get to the grocery store all the time to buy expensive veggies, but I have to. I eat crap cos I dont have the fresh stuff. At least I know now and can change my eating. Will check in later tomorrow, gonna have one of the boys for a few hours in the morning.

Ok girls, short and sweet post. Im somewhat aggitated these days with weight loss, my main focus right now is maintaining, in which I am doing that, thank god. SO---that being said, after being a regular poster for the past year, I am taking a break from the forum. Im sorry girls, I dont mean to disappoint and I have every intention on checking in occasionally but right now, I need to focus on some other priorities and dont have the drive to diet. I will continue with my exercise bc frankly, I feel better doing it. But Ill be taking a break for 3-4 weeks from the forum or if Im ready sooner, so be it. Ill see a lot of you on FB, so thats good. :)

Quick check in - very hectic week with Thanksgiving and the boys coming home. I have a long list of things to try to get done today and I want to get them done without them sabatoging my efforts so far.

I'm definitely seeing a trend with a lot of us having a hard time doing all the right things because of winter weather, lack of access to fruits and veggies like in the summer and dark mornings and evenings. It makes me so incredibly glad that I got going on this particular adventure in May so I could take full advantage of what I'm coming to think of as the weight-loss friendly part of the year :) And those who are taking a bit of a break - hey - if you're ever going to take a maintenance break (notice, I *didn't* say 'gain it all back again'), around thxgiving and xmas (or whatever your favorite winter celebration is) is certainly not a bad time to do it.
We ended up having a great day yesterday despite the 4am start (no nap for me after all). We went for a 4.5 mile walk and then ran a bunch of errands which somehow ended up being sort of fun - I guess it was crossing a bunch of stuff off my list. I've been looking online at other houses in the area before I commit to remodeling the kitchen and it's freaking me out a bit - I've found a few I may have to go take a look at to see if they have a fatal flaw or two. Burgundy - wouldn't it be amazing if you can stay on track this week and get to 203 by next Sunday? I would be seriously impressed if you lost weight thxgiving week! popcorn - looks like we matched mileage yesterday! aj - I hope deciding not to diet for a bit doesn't mean you'll go away and leave us! We'd miss you way too much!!! staccie - your life sounds so much livelier than mine - I've never heard of a gay 80s pool party in November no less and the mind boggles at so much equipment on display. I've had 80s parties and been to pool parties and the occasional gay party but never all at once and with clothing optional - wow! Hope the face is totally back to normal! I know what you mean about sweat stinging though - I've had that kind of problem before - ouch! Hope you awake feeling well rested and ready to tackle the challenging week. It's a short week for us here but not in Canada right? You guys had your thanksgiving a month or so ago if memory serves. Have a nice day ladies! I hope most of you will keep posting through this week of what I'm sure will be food temptations. I did okay with cals yesterday - I think around 1450. Am going to shoot for less today. Good morning girls :)
Well I'm ready to start another day - another week. My face looks much better - still a bit dry and itchy but definitely healing up nice. I am heading back to the gym tomorrow and will bring a nice soft towel to help with the irritation. I haven't worked out really since Thursday and I am definitely missing it. Foodwise yesterday - not good, not bad. I'm not eating much but what I am is high calorie. I need to focus. A few girls and I were chatting at work last night about how much weight we gained here and how important it was to be healthy for working 60 some days without a day off! I just don't get why this is so hard to make good choices! Grrrr - oh well I am going to keep trying!! I will weigh in on Friday and I also get my measurements done. Dance - yeah it's gotta be the weather, the holiday season - whatever or the people that have done really well - just need a break. Maybe it's nature's way of expecting us to bulk up and keep warm. But I refuse to skip another summer of wearing cute dresses and shorts and god forbid maybe even a bathing suit! I think this whole thing is exhausting - and I can't wait to maintain but I have a long way to go before that happens. But I can't think that way. Sounds like you had a good and productive day yesterday!!! Dance - my exciting life - heh heh - it happens every once in awhile. Vancouver is very open - can't find the right word lol. I came from a small town, then a small redneck kind of city so coming here created a lot of shock value!! Popcorn - good luck on getting everything done!!! Thanksgiving is a bigger deal in the us and in canada - at least when I have done comparisons. We had ours a month or so ago so I don't get a short week - ewww. We will see a loss this week for both of us!!! Well I wont' be able to check in probably all day as I have meetings from 9-5 - yuck. Must eat well today, must eat well - be healthy and happy and all that fun stuff!!! Hopefully everyone else gets a chance to let us know how they are doing! |
