I think most of us weigh less then - you're weighing before breakfast and stuff, right? staccie - good luck today - hope you're feeling better! just saw my first olympics commercial on tv last night saying 100 days till the olympics - wow! neesy - congrats on your nephew! your visit with your hubby will be great no matter what the rules are and who has to observe - sorry about all the restrictions though! aj - My job just changed to a much busier one (still visiting properties but also working on some big projects that take lots of meetings) so I may not be around quite as often as I was this summer for a while while I settle in to the new gig. I still think about you guys all the time though! No exercise for me today unless I walk some stairs at work. How about you? I can fit in a run tomorrow - wanna get in some miles then? maddiesmom - what a tough time! Hope you feel better before the big b-day! Ok, I'm going to bore you guys to death but starting today and until after thanksgiving, I am going to post my daily cal consumption to get me back in the groove as what I've been doing lately is tracking breakfast and lunch and then getting lazy/sloppy from then on and not adding it all up and going over, etc. That is officially over!! Good Morning everyone.
Today is my tough exercise day because we do our volunteer work immediately after work so I am not always in the mood to exercise when I get home. And I am already in a funk today. :(I hope I get through this week okay - I am starting to worry and I haven't even hit my big test which is next Thursday through Sunday when my kids come home. Simple - Good luck with your new eating plan. I get tired of counting the calories too. Unfortunately with me, when I don't keep track I start to eat out of control. I may have to resolve myself to a lifetime of journaling. Staccie - I hope you start feeling better soon and that you get through your first day back at work okay. Lindy - Maybe we should create a game show for people like you and me who can name the caloric content of every food item. LOL It does seem like there are people out there who can eat whatever they want but honestly they probably make better choices at times that I don't see them. As for me - if I go down - then I go down in flames when I don't account for what I eat. I guess I just love food too much. :( Tiff - I do the eat all the candy to get rid of it game. Candy can just be so darn tempting. Good for you for passing up Steak n Shake. AJ - glad you are back in the game girl. Maddiesmom - being sick sucks, especially when you are on a diet. I am sorry about the pulled muscle. I pulled some kind of muscle below my rib cage and I thought it got better and then I reinjured it last week getting a case of water out of the car. It is really beginning to tick me off. I hope you are better soon. Neesy - good to hear from you. Congratulations on your new nephew. Way to focus on the positive aspects of your upcoming visit with your hubby. Alyssa - I am thinking we may have to wait until a weekend in December unless you want to meet this Sunday morning? My Saturdays are scheduled until Saturday, December 12th. I have a last agility lesson this Sunday. I like to walk in both Forest Park and Tower Grove Park. Dancer - I think posting your calories is an awesome idea. I am on another thread where we post our daily plan. Even though it is not part of it, I also post if I met my daily plan for the day before. That helps me stick with it each day knowing I am going to be posting in the morning. You need to do whatever you think will help you. Hope everyone does well with their plans today. |
Hey Everyone - Yeah, I have a day off!!
Simple and Lindy, I am with Dance on the logging my food. I do envy anyone who can discipline their eating without counting calories, or whatever logg they are doing. I am an emotional eater, or bored eater, or eat whenever eater, and I have to stay accountable. I know this because two years ago I was within 15 pounds of my goal weight (lost almost 100lbs), so I thought I had 'control' over it all and quit counting calories. Over a 6 month period I slowly put back on almost 40 pounds of it. It was weird because I know I may gain a pound here or there, but was almost in denial that I had gained that much. When I did see I had put on a couple, I had the attitude "Oh, I know how to take it off, no problem." So, I know I have to logg, that is what works for me, but I soooo wish I could just have the freedom as you both do!! Dance, at work I can wear whatever I wish, so I tend to alternate between cushy flip flops (thick and soft) and my tennis shoes. There are the only two shoes that seem to keep my feet and legs as comfortable as possible for all those hours. I am glad your back to walking and running. I always hate having to break in new shoes, because I seem to battle the new blisters sometimes. Hope your park run is good today! Popcorn, I love changing up my foods, so the veggie wrap was a wonderful change from other foods I was enjoying. I am hooked for now, but I do rotate many of my favorites from day to day. ;-) Neesy, awww I am sooo glad you and your husband are having sometime together - even if it is over the web! I hope your upcoming trip will be wonderful, fun, and full of great memories! AJ, wow you sound focused! I hope your accomplish all of your goals today and with NO slacking........LOL.........You may hit your goal by Christmas! What a way to start the New Year! Alyssa sounds like yesterday was a On Target day for you! Your bath and relaxation is something I desperately need too and may do today! Thanks for the idea ;-) That is so cool that you and Popcorn can meet to workout. An accountability partner always makes getting healthier so much more fun. Staccie I am glad today is a little better for you and I hope your workout helps your system balance more. I wear Clinique too and yes, "pricy" but great makeup that is low on the chemical side (toxins). I love my dark chocolate and it seems to keep my sweet tooth calm....lol. I just eat a few squares a day and always feel better after ;-) Alyssa I too weigh in the morning, before breakfast. Dance I will post my calories each day, as I log them anyway. I will put the total in my nightly posts. Ok, wow this is a long post, but in just 24 hours I had to read back 5 pages!! Today since I have the day off (finally) I decided to clean my bedroom carpet. I love the smell and feel of clean carpet. I bought a Bissel Carpet Cleaner 2 years ago, instead of paying Stanley Steamer to do it, and I love it. It is easy and does a much better job:-). I am also going to try to do some yard work later. I still can't decide weather to workout today or rest and do it tomorrow. I am down another pound to 209! YES!!!!!!!!!! My goal this week was 208, so I need to lose one more, or maybe two more just to be safe. Bye for now. |
mygrits - girl, the calorie posting is ON! :) Thanks for joining me! I have a feeling this will make a difference. I love my carpet cleaner too - my oh-so-exciting plan over thanksgiving is to shampoo my bedroom and walk-in closet carpet - it's the little things, right?
popcorn - hope the mood gods are smiling at you today! and that exercise fits in effortlessly. I'm thinking I'll take a stair walking break mid-afternoon to get over the afternoon sleepies and burn at least a few calories. Is that something you can do at your office? |
One other quick thing that has made it much easier for me to keep track of what everyone has been saying - I changed the number of messages that display per page to a higher number - that means less switching back and forth between older pages to figure out what you missed. Here's what you do - go to User CP then Edit Options then Thread Display Options and change the number of posts to show per page to 40 (or whichever option you prefer). Hope this is helpful...

Stacie- how is work going today? Im so sorry to hear that your struggling with getting off the meds, I am super proud that you made it to the gym, though--thats awesome!!! I am excited to hear aboutyour results with the personal trainer, if he gives you any good tips, you'll have to share. :) Maddiesmom---awww, you are just struggling lately with injuries nad being sick, sorry to hear it. How old is Maddie turning again, I forgot? Neesy - Supervision with the hubby, really? Is this because of his incident with his peer or is this just normal procedure? Also, in the end of all this, are you going to have to move? If so, is there a designated place you guys are looking into? You had once considered doing the nurse thing through special services---does this whole process make you reconsider that? Alyssa- LMAO on shaving the legs and your hubby! Being in FL, you really do have to shave every other day because we are constantly in shorts and skirts, Im envious of you northern girls who can use that as an excuse, lol. I dont know what the deal is with the flututaion with your weigh in, weird...thats always been the opposite for me but ya know what, my daughter likes to weigh herself and that happens to her a lot. Things that make you go hmmmmm. Dance - Im so with you guys, I really think I need to do that too, Im not gonna give up like I said a couple days ago, sorry---Im hormonal and flip flopping back and forth, lol. Thanks for the tip of posting, that makes such a difference. Mygrits- yard work---yay! Good exercise and its sooo beautiful out. Im doing raking this weekend. Oh and another pound---yay you! Whos a rockstar---YOUR A ROCKSTAR!!! lol Ok, so lets go over my calories for the day: Breakfast - oatmeal and 2 chocolate chip cookies, 400 calories Mid-morning - Ezekial bread and organic pb - 360 afternoon - large coffee- 100 (with sweetner) Lunch - chicken soup with rice - 350 (which I havent eaten yet) So, roughly 1200 calories (give or take), that leaves me with dinner, which Im doing eggs whites and turkey bacon on ezekial bread, which should end my day at 1500 calories. I did terrible as far as fruits and veggies, but I have to wait till Sat. when I can get to the farmers market. |

You sound right on plan today - and EVERYONE's allowed to change their minds when they're hormonal ;) mygrits - I had to go back and re-read your earlier post - woohoo for 209! I swear, even the exercise girl on your ticker is looking slimmer these days! You are CRANKING! Good for you!!! I couldn't be happier for you and I bet your hubby is super proud! Do you have a gorgeous thxgiving outfit to show off your skinny self in? Maybe it's time to hit the thrift stores or the clearance racks at Ross to celebrate your success. I'm going out to dinner tonight for the THIRD night in a row - usually I'm much more of a homebody - it just so happened that a bunch of social stuff overlapped this week. Am going to order fish and veggies for the third dinner in a row - yum. Except there was cilantro all over the veggies last night which made me so sad. I have a major major cilantro aversion - it basically tastes like dishsoap got in the food to me. Bummer as it's in so many things. Taking into account my planned dinner and an after dinner snack of grapes, I'll be at 1200 for the day. Back on plan!! |
Lindy-The supervision is standard up until they "phase." Meaning they earn priveleges... at which point they can go off base. Well.. because of the incident, he didn't phase yet. Not until the final decision regarding his punishment is made.I will definitely not be doing army nursing. Yes. This has changed my mind. It also changed my mind about having my husband in the military. I thought.. wow. it would be great to retire after 20 yrs. But.. now i'm scared that I wouldn't see him at all.. with deployments. I don't want to go throught that for 20 yrs. So.. once this term is up.. i think we're done with the military. Hopefully, we'll find out where we'll be moving by christmas. We should move around early february...

Dance- wow 1200 calories, awesome! Its so hard for me to be at 1200 without feeling like Im dying of hunger. My stomach today is beyond bloated, I mean HUGE. My sub yesterday was LOADED with jalapenos and banana peppers which always makes my stomach petrude to look like Im 3 months preggo, lol. But it also makes up for it 48 horus later, lol...sorry TMI. Sounds like you have a healthy meal planned for tonight and Im with you on the cilantro, not a fan.
Neesy- I can only imagine! Financially this may be good but its not worth all the headache. Just think, what doesnt break you, only makes you stronger; I know..I know...thats the last thing you want to hear right now, remember you have a friend in me though if you ever want to send me a PM or you can do what me and AJ did, we exchanged cell phone numbers and text each other everyday. :) Almost quitting time. One of boys asked me to go to the movies tonight but with Gab, I doubt Ill go unless it can be after 8 pm. My cousin is sleeping over and she wont even know Im missing. The point of my story is--the movies! Ahhhh...since Ive dieted I have yet to see a movie, I can resist the popcorn but its the act of sipping on a soda and eating sour patch kids that kill me. Hey ladies! Sorry Im a little slow with my posts lately but I am swamped with stuff to get done before Thanksgiving. Im literally fixing to pull my hair out. Im ready for my bf to get here already but I just have sooo much to do and not enough time to get it done in. I have missed my morning walks all week :( I have still been working out with my tapes but I miss my walks dearly. I did get an hour long taebo tape on Monday not realizing it was an hour till I had already finished it. Plus I did my own workout routine during the biggest loser last night. I have done enough workout tapes to make my own and I almost consider it free exercise because I watched the show. I only have 4 more days of the 30DS and then I dont know what im going to do. Sorry I don't have time for personal I dont even have time to read back any posts. Im hoping to be able to catch up soon but who knows for now :/

I just raised my cals yesterday to 1500 so I am actually doing better since I don't feel starving all day. And I am not so focused. Don't let me fool you. I am a hot mess and I am just trying to shut my mouth lol. Thinner- Welcome to the family! I worked in South London for a while. Dance- Good for you with dinner. I love starches. SO I have to have a little in there some where. I love my bissell too!! Thanks for the screen advice. This really is easier to view and comment. Lindy- I hope you go to the movies and just don't take celery. I did it once and I crunched all the way through the movie!! SO bad. Grapes, popcorn and water =) Neesy- I am really sorry. I know that we don't really understand but I want to and I can imagine how horrible this must all feel. The good news is fights happen all the time in the military so hopefully they will clear him soon and he will advance fast. Is someone hurt? Why are they taking this so seriously? I can't wait for you too see him even if it is with someone else. I use to just watch movies while my brothers where on duty. I would sit next to them in the duty hut and I was perfectly content. I am having a really terrible day but I am only at 560 cals so I am okay. I have gotten almost all of my water in for the day and I am going to walk. Breakfast: clemintine and a protien shake. Lunch: Ham Sandwich on 45 cal bread. Snack: Carrots and a little wedge of cheese. I am going to figure out dinner after my work out. I am also going to swallow another shake after dinner. Its only 30 cals and 30g protein. I will post when I eat more. I am having a horrible day but I am moving forward as fast as I can. |

aj - so sorry the day's not going well - hope the walk turns things around! Do you need us to beat anyone up for you? :) Cause we'd do it, you know we would! Keep up the good work food-wise! I've never been able to develop a taste for protein shakes - you are a tough cookie, knocking those back!

I am feeling a lot better, still not 100% but getting there. I still have a little back pain, but was back at 204 today so all the fluid must be out of me. I am hoping to be at 203 by Sunday.
Dance-you asked how many calories I am at. I havent been exercising or eating much during all this, been nauseous. I am gonna try to stay around 1400-1500. Remodeling your kitchen is a great reward. Your planned dinner sounds yummy, I hate cilantro too, tastes like dirt. Staccie-no I didnt catch it, it was really small. Hope that was the only one. I really hope you get to feeling like your self soon. Your new shirt is super cute. A facial and massage would be WONDERFUL right about now. Glad you got to pamper yourself. Alyssa-yay for hitting your first mini goal. I bet you were super excited. Popcorn-kidney stones are painful, my mom told me they are worse than child birth. It was horrible, glad to be feeling better. Lindy-I read that grapefruit juice can contribute to kidney stones, so I did 6 days and got back to 204. I just bought a LOT of GF juice too, gonna return it. Simple-how are things going now that you arent counting calories? AJ-yea I have meds, vicodin has been my BFF this week. I had to up my cals a few months ago. Hows it going for you today? Maddiesmom-so sorry you are hurting. Hope you feel better in time for your little girls party. Mygrits-209 is super, great job!!!! Burgund so glad you on the mends and feeling better. Don't fret about working out, just let your body heal. When my husband has had kidney stones, his side is sore for days from the movement of the stone. Sooo, that being said, take is slow.
AJ what shakes are you drinking? I have never been able to get a good tasting one. I use to drink Slim Fast years ago until I read the label....LOL. I am so proud of you eating healthy. Keep it up! What happened with Neesy's husband - I missed that post? Will he be alright? Well, my husband is snoring, so I have the TV and am on a 'Criminal Minds' marathon! LOL.............. Max Muscle Pro Shake (with Water)
I like chocolate. Sometimes I put it all in a blender and with a banana and some blueberries. mmmm! If you have a max muscle they let you sample all the flavors that you want to. I like this one because it is super light. Light enough to be taken with meals, not instead of meals. I have some little pet peeves with meat so it is just easier to get the protien in that way! |

Busy day on here. I was so missing not being able to log in. I had such a busy arse day - I just got home and it's 730 and I have at least another 2 hours of work to get done....AHHHHH! Today I tried on a pair of pants I bought on vacation that were too tight and they fit...woo hoo so that was a great way to start my day. I felt pretty crappy this morning but it got better throughout the day. I am a bit dizzy still but only when I walk stairs and stuff. My mood is ok - I was kind of a scrapper today but I'm just impatient and want people to make decisions! I ate today: Protein Shake/Banana, Chicken and Beans for lunch, some nuts (heh heh - I wish it was the other kind but no just soy ones lol), chicken, eggs and toast for dinner. I also had a small cookie and a few dark chocolate buds. Not really enough though, probably around 1300. I really want to go to the gym right now...but I need a day of rest. I am back at it tomorrow morning for spin class and some weights. I have a late worknight again tomorrow too :( AJ - I so agree about the shakes, I drink them as I get sick of eating meat and after awhile I feel like a chicken if I eat too much of it! I missed being on here too...I didn't even check my bb all day until tonight...I hate these kind of days!! How come you're having a horrible day....food wise you sure are not - Mr. PI Crickett is mad at the lack of work I am providing him!! Pammy - good luck on preparing for thanksgiving....sounds like you got lots going on but finding time for exercise and that is awesome - you are so going to have a new rear for the new year!!! I love that saying btw Lindy - oh popcorn at the movies..a killer and I cannot go without having some... Dance - hope you had a good dinner out - I hate when social events pile up on one another...it's getting close to being that season but good on you for making good choices! As for xmas gifts I am usually Miss Creative but this year because of my busy schedule it's gift certificates. So sad. I will need to have a rocking xmas next year. But I do volunteer on Saturdays soon to wrap presents for a charity at the mall. I am the Martha Stewart of wrapping - love it. I just don't like buying things to wrap - so when I do it for other people it's awesome. I really don't have time to volunteer but I need to, and ensure I do every year. It helps me to know I am making a difference and that is worth the extra time away from sleeping :) Burgandy - glad to hear you are on the mend and congrats on the weight, onderland is all yours very soon!!! Mygrits - you are sounding so positive and happy - which makes me happy!!! I can't wait until you get to onderland either!! I hope I never missed anyone, I apologize but I am so pooped out! I really hate not being to log in throughout the day. I need to make time for it, even if it means hiding out in the washroom so people can't find me. People are literally stalking me all day long. I feel like Robert Pattinson. I want to see New Moon, I am a self proclaimed twilight addict. But no one wants to go with me....:( so sad - I might have to venture out alone. I can't even bribe anyone. I might take an afternoon off next week and do that. And then work out right after because of the popcorn! Oh and Dance...we are less than 90 days to go....thank god. My life is going to be crazy but I am so ready to move on but at the same time, excited for the experience. OH STACCIE- I love you! (NUTS!) I hope I get to know you the rest of my life!! I think that I could have used that PI tonight. I still stayed within my cals but super migraine hit and I had soda. And I wish I could be a part of the olympics. Are you attending any events? Are they in Whistler or Banf? Or are they actually in Vancouver? I am sorry about your bad day. I lost my drivers license, passport, birth certificate and social security card. Oh and my security key to the building. I need a ss card to get a passport, a birth cert to get a new driver license and a birth cert for a ss card. Its like a viscous cycle. Booo. I am over it though. I have a package sitting at UPS that I can not pick up with out ID. Sorry mom about your christmas present... I ordered it. lmao. Is canada international calling?? Or texting?? Hey everyone. Sorry no personals right now ..... but welcome to Thinner.
I am in a little bit of funk since last night. Out of the blue, after we finished our volunteer work last night I was totally fatiqued and my finger started bothering me again. I am not aware of rehurting it so I can only assume that it is arthritis that runs in my family. That means the same digit, same finger on my other hand will probably start hurting too for the rest of the winter. :?: In any case, I picked up a pizza for me and hubby on the way home. I counted my calories and stayed within the limit. But the fatigue really got the best of me and I ended up not only not getting a second workout in but falling asleep. I am still dragging today. This rain really needs to end TODAY! The only good news is that I did put the word out to the boys that they MUST help me when they come home. Splitting entrees and helping me make good decisions when we eat out AND hopefully being a walking buddy on a couple of the days. I know if I offer it my 21 year old will do it for money. :rolleyes: |
aj - what a bummer to lose all that important stuff! Any chance it might turn up again or is it gone, baby, gone? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
mygrits - just to fill you in on what happened a while back, Neesy's husband got into a fight (I think the other guy started it) and was being disciplined by the military and as a result his plans to come home for thxgiving were cancelled so Neesy's going to visit him instead. Hope you enjoyed your tv-a-thon! staccie - that's awful about your allergic reaction - isn't it the same makeup that you usually wear? I'm such a cheapy with that stuff - it's revlon all the way for me :) I wish you were around the corner so we could wrap packages together - I could use a dose of your creativity!! And I'm a huge nuts (soy) fan too! :) I ended up adding some red wine to my calorie count for yesterday for a total of 1480. Today I finally get to stay at home for the evening - silly but I'm happy about it :) I'm going to make turkey black bean chili with lots of veggies. Served over brown rice with a sprinkle of lf sharp cheddar and some light sour cream, it's my favorite quick lunch or dinner and when I put enough veggies in it, I don't even need to make a salad or anything. Am shooting for under 1400 cal today. Hope you all are doing wonderful! |

Staccie........AWESOME on the pants fitting. You deserve it! You have made so many positive choices for your life the last month (or more) and it is paying off. Isn't it a great feeling when something fits by surprise! Next is your cute new shirt! I am sorr about your face, are you sure its the makeup? I know their's is water based, which is why I wear it. Have you changed your hand soap, lotions, shampoo's or anything? Maybe use fragrance free handsoaps, lotions and such - possibly that would help. Hope today is more calm for you. AJ great on staying in your calorie range, but sorry about the migrane. My husbands migrane have become much less (he has had them his whole life) since he reduced his processed foods he eats and reduced his sodium. I don't know if it would help you, but wanted to share;-) I hope today is good. What can you do about getting your identity back? That would be ****! LOL........ Hey Popcorn. I hope your rested and feeling better today. Sorry about your pain and faituge. I don't know if you do nutritionals, but I suffered from severe pain, aching and fatigue a couple of years ago and started taking 2 Tbls. of Buried Treasures Acai Complete and it has worked wonders. You can find it at the Health Food Store. It really helped me and I can't say for sure it would help you (everyones body is different), but wanted to share it with you. Maybe something else at the Health Food Store would help. Well, I slept in today, which I rarely do, but felt my body needed extra rest before work starts up again tomorrow. I have to admit........awwwwww it felt awesome ;-) Anyway my weight was still 209, and my goal for Sunday is 208, so a workout is in the plan. I also think the bathrooms need a cleaning, so that's in the plan too. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!!!!!! Good grief it snuck up on me!!!!!!! Well my face looks like a wheat field that has been landed on by alien crafts...and it hurt like **** when I worked out this morning. Taking that stuff back, I wear the other make-up and it's ok, I guess it was just the 3-step cleansing thing. Live and learn I suppose.
I had a good workout this morning although I'm pretty tired I woke up at 4 and couldn't go back to sleep. Today I have a super long day so I have to stay focused as much as I can. I did have a bit more candy that I wanted last night but oh well - I will try and do better today. Considering my crappy arse week I think I am doing ok. AJ - Mr. Cricket PI was out drinking last night and missed your little slip-up - I'm giving him sh*t!! But it's so hard to be good when we have things like migraines, rashes and dizziness isn't it? Canada is international calling - and do you have a bb - we could free message - or if not, I have a pretty good plan. The Olympics are in Vancouver - and in Whistler. I am working at GM Place (Canada Hockey Place) for ice hockey. It's the premier venue for the games but it comes with premier problems!!! Like me needing day passes to the looney bin soon!!! I just want it to get here already - I am just too fringing busy. Dance - your dinner and night in sounds awesome...I would love to do that too but I will be at the office until at least 10 ;( Tomorrow I see my personal trainer...I am excited but hope I can stay awake lol. Grits- Thanks for the concern. It was nothing serious. A guy basically jumped on him.. trying to fight. My husband got him off of him and held him down until the sargeants came over. But they both got in trouble and recommended for an article 15... which isn't final yet. But in the meantime, he can't come home for thanksgiving and he wasn't allowed to "phase" meaning he can't leave base or have any priveleges. At least until the punishment is finalized. They are still thinking about whether or not they are going to take x-mas break too. hopefully not. I'm sitting at the airport now.. on my way to see him. YAY! My flight is delayed though.. ugh. but just gives me time to catch up with you guys. I'm loving this new lap top.. it's coming in handy. I can't wait to have webcam dates with my husband. I'm excited. haha.
In other news... I'm starting off this trip on the wrong foot. I got mcdonald's breakfast this morning cuz i was running late. The first time i've had fast food since september! I feel so bad. It wasn't even worth it. Oh .. and I went to chili's last night with my mom. I got a turkey sandwich with no cheese, no bacon, no mayo... and steamed veggies. Thought i was being good. NO! The bread was thick and soaked in butter. The veggies were also drenched in butter. i'm gonna stick with what i know. I feel like I cheated twice and both times weren't even that great. hmmm.. I don't know what I'm going to do the rest of the days of my trip. I'm gonna try and find healthy options eating out. I guess subway is always the way to go. I'm dreading the weigh in on sunday. But.. this is just life. you can't be perfect all the time. I know. Dancer- That chili sounds soooooo good. I would love the recipe. My mouth is watering... popcorn girl- splitting entrees is a good idea. I may have to do that.. except everyone i go out to eat with.. eats alot! and of course they don't gain weight. Hope you get a walking buddy. I walk my dogs a lot... they are my buddies. haha. When i first started walking them... i would just drag and be out of breath. Now.. they can't keep up with ME! crazy! AJ-WOW. that really does sound like it would suck. I keep checking my wallet every 5 seconds to make sure I didn't lose my military id. It's the one thing I need to get on base. Hey ladies :( I would do personals but I dont think I can sit up for much longer. I woke up last night at like 2am and have been sick ever since. Im super stressed and need to get a ton of stuff done and on top of that Im now sick and cant even sit up for longer than 15min without feeling worse. I finally was able to get some sleep like an hour ago when an old friend of mine crawled in my bed and woke me up! UGH perfect timing Tiffany! I see her once every 4-5 months and she shows up on the day that im sick and FINALLY asleep. So much for my daily walk for sure this morning :( Heres hoping I will be better later and can get some stuff accomplished

AJ - I just came back from a trip a few years ago and had everything (my identity in my purse). I thought I was smart to lock my purse in my car trunk when I worked out (I forgot my lock) and left my car keys in my jacket and someone stole my purse and keys and left my car but I had to change everything, house locks, car locks, they used all my credit cards and I was getting new credit cards I hadn't used weeks later. Worst experience ever. I still suffer the after affects of it. So I am feeling your pain....
Sandy - nope I have changed anything else. I did some research on the internet and there are alot of other people that had reactions like me, so I guess my skin just didn't like luxury care. So I am staying clean and not wearing make-up today - ouch!!! Have a good day today and yeah for 208 this weekend. I hope to see some results on the scale too! Popcorn - the rain is killing me here - I have bad hair and a bad mood!!! Congrats on the buddy system that will help. A good friend of mine is moving to St. Louis in a few weeks and we were picking out a new warm winter coat for her...it's pretty mild where we live. So I get to visit sometime! |

I forget what kind they were though. I have thought about getting the biggest loser kind just to try them. Staccie-yay for fitting into your new pants. Your food sounds good, hope you dont stay dizzy all day. Ouch about your face, get rid of that stuff. Popcorn-that sucks about your finger. Arthritis in the knees run in my family, I have had bad knees since I was a child, the only way I can get them to stop hurting is to get them warm. Keep my fingers crossed that your boys keep you on track. Neesy-so excited for you, enjoy every minute with your hubby. Subway is always good when you dont know what you will get elsewhere. I really hope to catch up to you. I just want to see 203 this week. I know it wont be more with all my body has been through this week. staccie - I forgot you deserved a major happy dance for the too tight pants fitting: :dance: dance: :dance: !!!! WTG!! That must feel great. And good idea on taking back the expensive stuff if it doesn't agree with you. I wash my face with cheap neutrogena soap and it seems to work for me and not irritate anything. Cetaphil lotion is very mild and non-irritating if you need something to help you get over your allergic reaction too. I use it after I have acid peels and other harsh stuff done to my face. pammy - hang in there and take it easy today. Hope you feel better soon. neesy - the out to eat stuff is so hard - even when you're making super careful choices like you did, sometimes you just can't win. But you're totally right, this is life and we'll have to work around it. Have a wonderful time on your trip and enjoy your sight-seeing. mygrits - I'm planning on a run at lunch - nothing major but looking forward to it all the same. |

Popcorn- I am so sorry about your hand. I have a bad strain in my right middle finger and it has been 4 months and it still aches. They can do blood work to tell if you have arthritis. Dance- That soup sounds amazing! And It makes me miss winter =) Its suppose to be 80 in Tempe today. I will be eating more ice. lol. Sandy- I had migraines when I was younger but I only get them bad about once a year or less now. My husband gets them so he had meds for me. Thank god for sharing meds. hah. And thanksgiving really snuck up on me too and we have 2 visitor coming to stay with us in our STUDIO. lol. I love love love hot fresh turkey though so I can't wait! Neesy- An egg mc muffin is only like 330 cals I think. I know it still sucks but you have managed this before on a trip and succeeded! Don't worry about weigh in. Worry about your hubby and the time you get to spend with him =) Pammy- I really hope you feel better. Neesy thanks for explaining about your husband. Sounds totally unfair for him to be punished for another guys actions - stupid actions I might add. Hopefully it will be cleared up quickly. I am so glad you get to see him though. Enjoy every minute! I bet you did feel gross with two fast food meals. I always feel like crap after that and I think some of it has to do with all the sodium in it. I feel bloated. Maybe stick with subway veggies, and if you go to a restaurant request that they grill the veggie with no butter. They will if you ask.
Pammy I am so sorry your sick and hope your doing better soon. How nice to see your friend, and maybe she was able to help you out while there with some soup or crackers?? Staccie sounds like a really long day for you. Any days I have over 7 hours at work is toooooo long. I absolutely brain dead on the 101/2 hour days...........ugh, I hate them. Sounds like you had a good workout though! Good for you!! Burgund good to hear from you and really glad to hear your doing better. I bet you will be up and around, plus working out soon. Do drinks like of water and try to avoid caffiene drinks, or soda's with tons of sodium ;-) AJ nothing wrong with sharing meds ;-) We have done that many times with antiobiotics and pain meds ;-) I am so glad your feeling better though. Turkey and tons of dressing is abolutely to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it Love it! Well today has been good and kindof a lazy day. I did my workout in, which felt awesome and then I have been basically lazy the rest of the day....LOL.... My calories are at 800, but I still have to eat dinner, so I will logg the total later. |

We had our holiday party for the students today. Everyone brought something in to eat. So, I splurged. It was preconceived, too. I feel bad, but I'm going to exercise tonight and continue on with my calorie counting. I was trying to add everything up, but the sad thing is that I don't even remember what I ate. I didn't have huge plates full of food, but I still had one plate of food that is not what I would eat when I'm watching what I'm eating. So, back on it again. I'll catch up later. |

Staccie - I would love to see your arse in St. Louis for a visit. Neesy - don't feel bad about the Chili's dinner. You tried to be good now you know better. I know what you mean about cheating and feeling like it wasn't even good enough to be worth it. Just focus on your upcoming trip and getting to see your hubby. I think as long as your sensible during the visit foodwise you will have done ok. AJ - I know what you mean about feeling full even though you haven't hit your calorie allotment for the day. Give it a couple of days and you should be into the swing of it. Sorry if I missed anyone - tomorrow will be a good day for all of us - I feel optimistic. I was totally happy when I got home tonight because the rain had stopped. That meant I got to take a 4.5 mile walk. Afterwards I immediately grabbed the fuzzy monster and got an additional mile in with him. So I walked 5.5 miles tonight. My butt muscles feel sore in a good way. Talk to you guys tomorrow. |
