Today my goals are as followed ...
1) Plan out my meals and snacks
2) Start my food journal ( dont know why I ever stopped)
3) Do some form of exercise
4) clean out my food pantry ..

I need to be accountable this journey is a life style not a diet .. I have worked to hard to get where I am to let old habbits to creep in .. This is a new day and I have new challeges and I will see success being accountable.... :-) :-) Come on lets all make today a better day .. It all starts with us!! We can do it !!

Hi to Oatmeal and Ash! Anyone else?

Yippee-yay! I've broken through the 242 mark. This morning I was at 239!!! Going to wait another day and make sure it sticks! (You know, I've noticed I usually go for quite a while "hovering" around a weight, then all of a sudden drop 3 pounds overnight. It is soooooo strange. I don't like the "hovering" part too much, LOL.) CJ

Monday goals
Water exercise class - go early ... went but not early
Eat 1100 calories ... 1173! Wow, by setting my calories artificially low the last couple of days, I've conned myself into eating what I wanted to in the first place. This is so weird.
Finish paperwork in a.m. ... almost; almost!
Print panoramic photos ... nope
Read my positive goals at least 2x ... will read them the second time now!

Hi everyone! Well, I was still down 3 lbs. today, so I'm claiming it! Yay! Took for effing-ever, though. But you can't fail if you don't quit!

Tuesday's goals

Water exercise class - go early ... check!
Eat 1200 calories ... 1254 calories
Finish photo preparation for trip ... nope
Read my positive goals at least 2x ... check!

Hi Ash, and *hugs* . I love that you come and post every day, even though sometimes you don't have such good days. That accountability is half the battle. I took a peek at your blog and see you are in graduate school, and with a family at home! That is a lot of stress right there, so you should cut yourself a break. The calories you keep mentioning in the blog are very low, you probably could eat 1500 or 1700 calories a day and still lose weight because I can (although slowly). You are the same height as me and I'm older than you plus hypothyroid.

It is important not to beat yourself up. You have to set up a day to be a SUCCESS, even if it's one small thing. Do not overwhelm yourself with goals.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling low, I remember what you said about me being an *inspiration* and it helps me "continue on" that someone else thinks I am doing well. I think you're doing beautifully with your life and "your beautiful mess". Besides which -- you weight 50 lbs. less than me now, so I am perpetually jealous! C.J.

Hi everyone! I'm going on a road trip tomorrow, so may be unable to post for the next 10 days or so. I love road trips. I'm driving from Florida to NY in a "meandery" kind of way. See you on the flip side!

Wednesday's goals
Water exercise class ... check!
Eat 1300 calories ... 1181
Start to pack ... check!
Prepare extra photos for gallery ... check!
Read my positive goals at least 2x ... reading them again right after this

Thanks CJZee for all your kind words and encouragement. It does help to come here everyday. And I am working on upping my calories on some days. Trying to figure out what works for me. I am not exercising yet so my calories will have to increase when I add that in. I am feeling better today tho as I have minimized the carbs today. So far so good.

I am envious of your road trip. I love road trips. What prompted this one? I will be thinking about you and cannot wait to hear how it went.

Goals for the road trip
1300 calories/day ... breakfast and lunch were good. For dinner, I went to a buffet and loaded up on veggies, one chicken thigh and (not so good) some sausage and green pepper and onion stir fry. I probably went over my calories a bit. I'll do better tomorrow!
No sweets ... check
Drink water ... check
Read my list of positive goals every day ... check!
Have fun! ... check!

Hi, Ash, CJ, and welcome Newbies to this thread.

I have MS and have just had a bad week, I am having trouble typing but I'm determined to get busy losing weight.

Today's Goals
Some research and setting up a new plan for me to follow
thinking about calorie counting and lowering carbs

Mild exercise today to make sure I don't overdo it

32 oz water

At least 2 fruits
