Just For Today Challenge, Every Day, You Choose Which Day
This group has been growing and has become a great supportive group. Instead of starting a new thread everyday, I just have started one thread. We'll see how this works.
Have you been struggling to get on program, no matter which program you are trying to do? Why not sign in here just for today, and come back and show us how you did. Sign up with any goals you want to.
You can come and go as you please on a daily basis. No check ins, it's up to you. But if you sign up here for a daily goal, it may motivate you to hold true to it just for "today" whichever day that is, and come back and report that you did.
I have been struggling, some days eating as much as 60 points. I found last week when I started this challenge, that even though I still overate, I did much better, knowing I was going to be reporting it here.
This is not my challenge, it is "ours".. Feel free to add to it.
I'm just back from a couple of weeks away from home - staying in a house with kids, so eating lots of unplanned junk, eating out too much, no gym around, etc. etc. I *did* plan and brought some good food and my running shoes with me, did 30-Day Shred 4 or 5 times (intense! but only 20 min.) buuuuuuuut.... somehow I didn't manage to pull it off as well as I would have liked.
Anyway, long story short, TODAY - Sunday, August 9 - I am doing what it takes to get back on track!
Put together shopping list
Plan menus for the week
Buy groceries - make sure have lots of veggies for salads
Cook a few things to have at the ready
Go to gym or for a walk, 30 minutes minimum
DON'T weigh
(I have already concluded that it will de-motivate me if I confirm that I have gained weight, as it was so hard to lose what little I have lost already. I want to focus on the bigger lifestyle changes rather than the stupid uncooperative scale)
ETA: Um, TODAY, August 10 (MONDAY) I am going to do what I said I was doing yesterday. Ended up lazing around most of yesterday with some kind of respiratory infection... but I'm back up and running again.
ETA #2: Did it! I've been totally on track for food and walking 1 hour every day + going to gym classes 3 or 4 times this week. Feels good to be back on track. But makes me afraid to ever leave the comforts of my routine again!!

yesterday was a very hard day foodwise so i woke up this morning thinking one thing i need to do today is join the challenge.
so, today i'll stay on plan because now is the time to be focused (many times i failed after a month od dieting, i don't want it to happen again), eat rationally and remember my health.
it may be hard to make a decision for months to come, but i can make it a day at a time.

Yesterday I did ok, except for the water.
Today I am heading to orientation for graduate school. I am trying not to be nervous. I will be there all day so my goals are:
Eat OP
Drink as much water as I can
No cereal or crackers or other junk. (Allowed one protein bar if necessary.)
