I'll post a goal of 6lbs gone. I don't normally weigh myself but once a month but I suppose I can step on the scale tomorrow and see what I weigh.

Hi wanting2b.............thanks Things have been going well in the sense that I have made a lot of positive changes and progress this new year, though I swayed this past recent summer month but have stayed in the loop and I am excited for us all to be starting another month together. I cannot tell you how super this experience has been and I look forward to continuing our journey together and meeting those of you just joining in. If you have any questions...please don't hesitate to ask...I'm sure one of the girls can help you out. THey are awesome!

I typically have a tough time losing weight in summer ( I always have) but these chicks have gone right through summer...through vaca's and just all sorts of things! I absolutely love walking too but not (with the exception of the beach or by water) when it's hot or muggy.......again....many of the ladies are from the central and west coast and continued full force with their exercise programs! I have no excuse! lol It is really is so cool , it's a beautiful, supportive, and inspiring team and we are all here to help and encourage each other to keep going and to do our best......: ).

Posting really helps a lot (whether good or bad days and particularly on bad days) so it's something we always strive for. Did we mention that we are a chatty group? lol

My weight was up just a touch today which I can only figure came from all the exercising yesterday because I was within my calories. I hope its back down tomorrow but I ended up eating out chinese today with my mother-in-law but I was very careful and feel like I did pretty good.

We had fun shopping at a couple consignment shops that were having their season end clearance sales. I can't wait until I can wear size Medium tops comfortably again, they have so many cute tops.

Tummygirl: Unfortunately I think you're correct about it being all exercise. Overall I do eat an extremely healthy diet and my only result is I don't GAIN which is frustrating. Which is why, much like FSA I too find summer weight loss challenging but if you all can do it then so can I!

NSM Please do keep me honest - that's what this is all about, right?

Ooooh ladies! It's the Eve of a New Month! So many new faces! I look forward to getting to know everyone! Like FSA said, this is an amazing group of women and I'm telling you--there's no other girls like 'em anywhere! I've been with the group since May and I've seen these girls do amazing things!!

Post as often as you want--the more the better, especially if that sort of thing helps you to stay motivated! Share all your victories--on of off the scale! If you can't post daily, don't fret--but do beware! We are an insanely chatty bunch of girls and you can get lost fast! No worries though, you're always welcome no matter which part of the conversation you come in on!

You'll find that there's a few of us (*ahem, myself included*) that are multiple posters--that is we will chime in 3, 4, 5...10 times a day. Some do personals and ramble on (that'd be me too ) others just pop in to say hi and bye--wherever you fall in those categories is perfect! So don't worry if you can't keep up, never post personals or feel out of the loop, just jump right back in and have fun!

I'm psyched up for a fanfreakin'tastic new month and I want to thank all of the wonderful girls here in the challenge for making the past few months so much fun, so productive, inspiring, funny, silly and wonderful. Thank you for all the kind words, all the encouragement, all the laughs and all the and congrats! Lastly, thanks for giving me an outlet for my PMS! It wonderful to be able to dole out :kickbutt and be a when the need presents itself. Oh, and thanks for all the and that you've given me when I needed them most! I love you girls!!!

Okay, now that I've finished up with my mandatory Monthly Mush-fest...

Let's raise our (Water) glasses to a Brand New Month! : May it be filled with and lots and lots of !!!!

Have a great night girls! I'll see you bright and early in the morning!!!

I promise that tomorrow morning I'm taking my son to the local health food store where we will get food for the weekend. I promise that if we do eat out I'll pick something healthy and lowfat.

W2b140 - Woohoo on 3.5, that's an awesome week and it sure helps leading into a weekend to know how good it feels to pull some big numbers.

Shrinking girl - look forward to getting to know you!

FSA - I'm just super proud of you, thought I'd throw that out there.

Ruth - Medium does seem to be an unpopular size, I always see tons of them too, awww, here's to more choice in fashion and not just what hides the fat rolls

MountainChick - that's one thing I sooo don't want to be right about. It's so much easier to pull down calories and workout and get a deficit two times over. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to give it go though. Ok we'll be watching, now just watch if you even try and stray from your commitment you'll think OMG I posted it now I have too, they'll know!

CMo4 - Multipe posters, who's those crazy ladies, don't know any of those, nope, none here. Thanks for the mush, it makes me feel all warm and squishy inside and it's all true. It's amazing what a group of opinonated, fabulous, intelligent, stubborn, loud, competitive, determined, funny (no, hilarious) woman can do!

AJ - I don't think I've said hi and welcome to the challenge, so

As for little old me, I did finally get that run in today and although it wasn't super hot, it was sure hot enough, it was a big hot mess really. And I realized why one doesn't run down a dirt road at 1 in the afternoon, it's not heat or dust or the fact that all your neighbours can watch your butt giggle down the road, it's BUGS! I'm sure everyone's seen Star Wars where they go into warp speed or light speed or hyperdrive or whatever (Delphi?!?) where all the stars are wizzing at them, well just imagine that being bugs and instead of them wizzing by you they hit you and they are grasshoppers and black flies and horse flys, ugh. It was an intensly gross experience trying to run while grasshoppers were bouncing off my arms and getting caught in my frickin' hair, but it's done, I didn't stop even though jumping around like an idiot made it difficult to keep step properly.

I shall remember this next time I don't want to get up at 6am and run like I should have this morning, this was penance, hoards of locusts! And even though I was tired from almost no sleep, Sandye got up after a crappy sleep and ran and next time so shall I.

Night ladies!

Hi and welcome to all of you new girls! I am Crazymamaofour's mom, and let me tell ya, she is quite the chatterbox! Has been since she learned how to talk. She used to chat up the produce guy at Albertson's - which was fine with me since I had a little crush on him!- as a toddler. Sorry, Sandye, but you know its true!

TUMMY ~ I'm sure your ILs won't mind if you go for a run everyday. It will give them more time with your DD after all! Eek on the bugs! Gross! Although the visual is funny I'll guess you'll be getting up early from now on!

Here's to a successful August. Let's get a head start on the dreaded holiday season. Just think, if we lose it now, we can indulge in pumpkin pie IN November!

I want to hit 157.5. That's 5.5 lbs., and will make 43.5 lbs. lost for me.

Good luck, everyone!!!
