Hi chickies. I have not posted in what I thought was just two days, but I can't even find my last post, so I am not going to attempt to do personals. Sandye was razzing me about my absence, and I told her I didn't want to post without doing personals, so that's why I've been MIA. I really appreciate everyone's support and I want to encourage everyone, so I feel bad when I don't have time to respond, so I go into "denial mode" and don't post at all. How dumb is that? So I'm sorry for not doing personals, I'm such a slacker!! I was also in a funk due to my measly .4 loss for the first 11 days of the month and didn't want to post a "*iss and moan." Sandye and Delphi's stick-to-it-ivness was a great motivator, and I finally had a 1.6 loss today, hence my .4 loss for the month ( the previous 1.2 gain was not sitting pretty, I gotta tell ya). I realize that there is no way I will reach my goal (8-10 bs) this month with this dismal start, and I'm bummed about that, but I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. Today at work I resisted brownies (my weakness) AND cupcakes, and tomorrow, we are having yet another potluck. Yesterday my DD made apple cinnamon crumbcake muffins. I gotta tell you, I was drooling. 'What smells better that that? I resisted though. I have been so good at resisting the garbage, so I'm really dissapointed in my miniscule results. Sigh,

How 'bout that daughter of mine? You rock SANDYE!!! "Memories...." (bad Streisand song for you young chicks).

Kudos to all of you "losers" and to all who are struggling. TUMMY Hope you have a wonderful vacation, we'll miss you!

hiya chicks It is late here and I am pretty tuckered. Came in to check on the news and say hi. LTTG it's pretty ironic you mention about posting anddddddd having met goal issues today as that is so much what I wanted to write about! Your not alone! I have seen so many woman just basically vanish, feel bad, etc. because of one of the other (not having time to do personals and/or not meeting goal) oh lets not forget having bad days.

MrsVegan00, and holamamcita, welcome

We are such a large group, we simply cannot always do personals, if at all. GOd , and honestly if one misses a day or two!!!! waaaaaaa, it can be overwhelming. IT is better for us to post (and not do personals) than to not post at all! Also, as far as goals go and meeting them, god forbid if I gave up every time I didnt meet goal (lol, ha!). Its great to strive for it but lets not forget that it's about the journey and all of our accomplishments and progress along the way.........if we meet our weight loss goals by ends month........fantastic! though if not, think how far we have come! Just making a goal of not giving up and keep on trying day after day is a great goal in and of itself, our exercise, eating healthier.......and so much more! In essence, we reach goal in so many ways (mental and physical) aside from the weight loss and we must remember that. Talk soon, so glad you posted LTTG ! Talk more about this tomorrow....wtg on the health regiment chickies

MsP, ty so much.......I too feel so good about it and feel like im back in the ex. thread in the manner I like to be...ty again girl hugs. you too delphi , and to all

Goooooooooooood Morning Ladies!!!!!

dcapulet~ thanks so much!! Glad to hear you went on that run even though you didn't want to! You toughed it out and that's awesome!!

Ruth~ thanks to you too hun! Congrats on losing all the weekend weight and then some! That's great! I'm the same way with the carbs--I did the low carb thing and it totally messed up my stomach and I pretty much always felt icky. No way I could do that again! Plus, I just missed bread and pasta too much. Funny...I don't miss them now??

Tummy~ sigh...I'm already missing my morning dose of your wit and humor! Thanks so much hun for all the kind words! No, haven't tried on the dress again--I'm not sure what it's going to take to get that last inch zipped up, but I'll give it another go soon just for you! I hope you're having a fantasticly wonderful time on your vacation!!!!! Check in when you can k?

MsP~ Aww, thanks so much! Hmm, so you have pics huh? Well, come on, post 'em for us all to ooh and ahh over!! Sorry your back was hurting, I hope it's better now! Just read your other post--glad to hear your back recovered!!

holamamacita~ as we always say, it's never too late! Hope you'll jump right in and make yourself comfy!

Delphi~ walk on sista!!! I love it!! Now I've got that song in my head! I know you'll do me proud! I bet once you get your water in you'll see that weight just float away. Your determination and 'no sweat off my back' attitude is just so inspiring! It definitely keeps my spirits up--thanks so much for that! Sorry you had a cruddy night sleep after painting! I hope last night was better for you!

shasha~ hey, don't worry about talking about eating OP--it's awesome! I mean, some of us need help in that area so hearing about someone staying OP with their eating is inspiring!!! How was dinner last night? You must fill us in on all the yummy details!!

SG~ Oh yes, I've seen that video! I tell ya, I have no idea HOW they managed to do that!! Honestly, when you get done with C25K, you'll be way more fit than you are now and should have no trouble on a treadmill. When I started out, I was sooo out of shape and spent the entire workout holding onto the hand grips!! Ask the girls, when I started doing my jogging stints, I likened myself to a drunk! I was wobbling all over the place! Now, I can do my whole workout with no hand holding and I even dance a little while listening to Dave Matthews during my cool down. You'll do great, you just need to find a place to run! And soon enough you'll be able to exercise in public--just remember that you're doing it for YOU and that there's someone out there who's going to see you working your tail off and be inspired by what you're doing!! So you hold your chin high, but a smile on your beautiful face and work it baby!!!

Mom~ ahhh so glad to see my nagging paid off! Now what have we all said time and time again? Checking in is all that matters! I know you like doing personals (as do I, obviously ) but all we really want is to hear from you! And it is especially helpful if you're having a rough time of things ya know? I couldn't have made it through that stall out without these girls and all the infectious positivity!! So check in woman!!! Now, with that said, woo hoo! I'm glad you saw a loss! Remember, your body likes a wild roller coaster so don't be surprised by the numbers rising and falling. So long as you're staying OP and working out--and you are--you're losing fat, no matter what Darth Scale says! You're doing an awesome, fantastic, amazing job mom--really you are! And I couldn't be more proud!! Thanks for the song! "...like the corners of my mind..." Wanna play Songburst?

FSA~ Ditto, ditto, ditto! It makes me sad to think of the girls who vanish because they felt bad about not posting often enough--because then I worry about them not getting the support they need/want kwim? I'm glad that everyone here is so accepting and supportive of all the girls here no matter how little or much they post! Oh, I wanted to let you know, I haven't made this month's goal yet--I made my weight loss goal (and have since created a new one), so you can undo the pretty red 'Met Goal' after my name in the list--I'm not quite there yet.

Well ladies, it's been a busy morning! It's picture day--can you believe that? 3rd day of school--wacko! I've been up since 5:00 (finally managed it!), got my workout in, showered (yay!), made lunches, ironed shirts, fed kids...whew! It's a good kind of busy though.

Weighed in at 149 even so it's time to change my ticker!

I'm going to try to head to the shoe store today and exchange my shoes--I gave them 2 weeks and I'm still feeling like they're too snug. Wish me luck as I'm bringing the girls with me .

Okay, well, speaking of the girls--one of them is still sleeping and I must go wake Miss Sleeping Beauty so we can get out of here! Have a great day girls and be sure to...

Drink Your Water!!!

Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful day to be alive. I got my exer. in and soon I'll be off to run my errands and all. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this thread.
FSA and Sandye-I completely agree it's sad people feel like they can't keep up with the thread and drop it. When I can't keep up, I just skim and post what I can. I KNOW I need this support and it's been a lifeline to me...staying accountable and being inspired everyday!
Have a great day ladies! I'll hopefully hop on later and catch up with everyone.

Good morning ladies,
I bought the body fat/hydration scale last night. It thinks I am dehydrated, so maybe I'd better get a clue from CMO4 and DRINK MORE WATER.
I'm planning another jog after work today. Should be fun. I'm hoping that these pounds are a problem I can run away from.
Have a great Thursday!

Hi ladies.

What a morning. First of all, my computer is having problems this morning. I've reset the settings, so I'm hopeful it will actually stay on long enough. This is actually the third time, I've tried to write a post...so fingers crossed, I worked the kinks out of my puter. Not much time now though. I did get my day two in this morning and on the treadmill. I liked it much better...rather my knees liked it much better..I prefer outside, because at least the occasional car goes by, but I will be using the treadmill from here on out...haven't checked my band, but when I check in later, I'll see what the calorie burn was..the treadmill said it was 210, but my gowearfit is always more accurate...anywho, I'll talk to you ladies later and Sandye I am drinking my water.

Tummy - that is an awesome NSV! I need to not want Lemon Merengue Pie (I know spelling is bad, LOL) and doesn't it feel good to have someone check you out! Woo-hoo!! Have a GREAT DAY!

Shasha17a - you are sooo right. I felt like it way TOM! Yikes! anyway, sounds like you have a solid plan for the day. Good Luck and with the double date tonight.

Crazymomof4 - You Look GORGEOUS! You have come such a long way!!!!

Mystical - If you want more cleaning.....I know exactly where you can come next!!! LOL I have 2 preteens and a husband that is more like a child. Have a great on plan day.

Ruth135 - CONGRATS!!! on losing the weekend weight and your added loss! LOVE IT!

Delphi - you would fit right in with my boys....they love Rock Band and Guitar Hero! You need to get more sleep so that your body can work at losing!!! Take a nap if you can...3 hours isn't enough!

Shrinking Girl - DQ....awe.....I dream of it sometimes! LOL

Late to the Game - they told me not to worry about personals. It was my goal to do personals once a week and then just post what I'm up to the other days. Don't not come here because you cannot keep up with everyone. These ladies are awesome!

Woo - hoo I got personals done!!! I want to do them at least once a week!

And another woo-hoo as this morning the scale moved in the right direction!!!! It is unofficial yet as I go to the center tomorrow and I will let you ladies know.

I also bought myself a treat! I rarely do this, but I am an AVON rep and got the preview of what's coming. They had a GORGEOUS teal that I just HAD to have. I collect nail color like most ladies collect shoes. I love doing my nails different every week and I really love this color. It came yesterday. I was so excited.

Well....I had better get to work. I work from my home designing wedding albums for photographers and this is the BUSY season.

bye for now

Hi Girls,

Don't have a lot of time right now, but hope everyone is having a great day.
Scale was down a tad this morning, .2 which means I've met my original Labor Day goal, so I'm happy because I hardly ever reach my goals, probably because I set them too high.

Wanted to mention I've discovered oolong tea and I really like it. I've been trying to get into the habit of drinking hot tea at least once a day, usually in the morning.

I didn't get any intentional exercise in yesterday but I was quite busy and got over 14,000 steps in according to my pedometer, I love that thing!

Hi everyone. Work is a little busy so I will try to work on personals after lunch sometime. Dinner was ok. We went with another couple who ordered 4 rolls while we ordered 3. I tried to make the healthiest choices possible. The 1st roll had tuna, crab, avocado and it was wrapped in cucumber..no rice. So good! Then it got confusing. Then when more came out, we got the rolls mixed up and the other couple took our roll and we took their food, which wasn't a roll at all, more like a crab meat in a mound with tempura flakes and some other stuff. All the names were confusing and we forgot what we had ordered. I swear we didn't order this and kept saying it througout dinner. I did my best to not eat too much of the tempura flakes. Then the 3rd roll came out, one that my DBF ordered and it was almost identical to the 2nd. We didn't even finish half. So I tried but I was annoyed. We didn't realize until after we got the bill that we had switched rolls on accident. I'm up a couple lbs this morning and throwing myself a pity party. But today is a new day and I'm back OP. I will not be self medicating with food!!!

Sorry--have been missing in action as I have been gone since Sunday dealing with starting the sole custody and then spending a little extra time down at my parents. I didn't stick with my exercise routine while gone(I went for one walk for 20 min), but yesterday when I got back I did 1 1/2 hours working out! (1 hr Wii, including the long island run, and 30 min Turbo Jam).

I am really proud of myself though as I did stick with my diet. On the way down we had to stop and I was starving, but I drove past Quizno's (my favorite sandwich shop ever!) and instead went to Subway. I was going to get a WW veggie wrap, but I guess they don't make wraps anymore. I was so tempted to get a sandwich, but instead I got the veggie salad with ff dressing. Seriously, I have NEVER gotten a salad as a main dish at any restaurant before! I like salads, but if I am eating out I would prefer something much unhealthier!

Even without working out though, my hard work dieting paid off, as this morning the scale was down another 2 pounds! Only 8 more pounds to my goal! I haven't tried fitting into the goal jeans yet (they are a small size 20), but I do now fit comfortably in some of my other size 20 jeans and my 22s are getting baggy! Pretty great considering last month I was barely squeezing into the size 22s and could wear a size 24 fine!

Well, since I have been gone for like 5 days, I am not going back to read everything, but the few posts that caught my eye:

Latetothegame
: I can't even believe how frustrating it would be to see that little weight loss for such a long time! Way to stick with it. The plateau must end sometime, and then the weight will be sure to come off!

Crazymamaof4: I actually tried veggie dogs a few weeks ago, (even though I have been vegetarian for 15 years, I have previously avoided the fake meats)....and I liked them! They only have 45 calories, so I put a little ff cheese on them, and roll them up in like half of a low calorie tortilla and top them off with condiments (ketchup and mustard is crucial), and I thought they were awesome! Of course, I haven't had real hotdogs in years, so I am sure my tastebuds are off! My meat loving husband tried them though and thought they were good, just the texture was off a little.
