Lewisempire 07-08-2009 05:06 PM

Hi girls!
Wanted to check in quick before I went for my walk. I DID finish my Pilates workout today, but not without a few choice words for Denise. I realized, she was doing beginner, medium, and advanced progressions, and I could just stay wiht the beginner moves for now. MUCH BETTER!! I had to laugh though, because she was saying "this will Energize your day, you will feel so refreshed...blah, blah, blah" About an 1/2 an hour after the work-out was over, I could hardly keep my eyes open, so I went and took a little nap. LOL- I guess I feel refreshed and energized NOW! I hope everyone is having a great day. I will come back later, and post my workouts!

Lewisempire 07-08-2009 09:40 PM

Oh girls, I missed getting my miles in tonight because I got called out to work..... Oh well, I am POP today, so it shouldn't make a negative change in the scale, I hope.

To be honest I did well with exercise while in the hospital with Canaan. You had to walk a mile to go smoke or go anywhere really. Some days I had over 20,000 steps and was burning 3000 calories a day which is 900 past what I usually burn at home. So I definitely got my fair share of exercise in, just don't know how much or how many minutes.

candtlove 07-09-2009 08:26 AM

Good morning. I am happy to say I have done 2/5 projected workouts for this week. I'm preparing to do some exercises in a few minutes. Have a good day.

I meant to join in, but forgot with packing out of town. So please add me to the list - I NEED some accountability!

Goal - 900 minutes.

Goal - 900 minutes

1 - 30DS, Level 1
2 - 30DS, Level 1 & about 30 minutes of walking with a 20 pound carry-on bag through IAH and DIA
3 - 30DS, Level 1

8 - 30DS, Level 1

Not sure what the airport walking should count as - but figured 30 minutes for an hour and 15 minutes of dragging around there was fair enough.

150 / 900

Good morning ladies! So good to have you back, Delphi!

Yesterday, I went to an auction for about 4 hours. I was on my feet the entire time, walking around (there were three rings going--2 outside and 1 inside--that I kept going back and forth between) and carrying boxes to the car (because at this particular location, you can't leave your stuff out because it will get stolen) and then carrying and loading furniture onto our truck. Then when we got home we had to unload everything again and this time carrying it up stairs! It was a workout with all that carrying and lifting, so I think I'm going to count it as one of my strength training workouts this week. I definitely think I can count it at least 30 minutes worth. Oh and also, when I got home, I played around with one of the items I bought--a brand new in box Suzanne Somers ThighMaster, lol! I got it for a dollar. (I wasn't exactly competing with a workout type crowd there, lol!) I am going to keep collecting exercise equipment, and after my yard sale, which will be the first weekend in August, I'll set up one of my rooms upstairs as a gym. Once I get it like I want it, I'll be able to cancel my Y membership and save some money each month! I wanted the thigh master to work my inner thighs, but I was surprised to find out it also has exercises for outer thighs, biceps, triceps, chest, and back! Yay! :D

MY EXERCISE:
July 1--15 min elliptical
July 2--45 min strength training; 30 min walking
July 3--15 min elliptical
July 4--15 min elliptical
July 5--40 min strength training; 30 min walking
July 6--15 min elliptical
July 7--15 min elliptical
WEEK 1--ALL EXERCISE IN!
July 8--30 min strength training (auction)
July 9--
July 10--
July 11--
July 12--
July 13--
July 14--

Delphi 07-09-2009 11:55 AM

Jacqui ~ I used to have a thighmaster and LOVED it. Unfortunately, I can't find another one anywhere. I don't think they sell them in department stores anymore, moreover, I don't think they make them anymore. You always find the good deals. ;)
