Hey ladies!, I just checked out that flylady site and that is pretty cool.
LTBH - OMG that's amazing!:cheer3::cheer2::congrat::cheer2::cheer3: I too was a bit behind the cleaning race as well being in the mountain time zone. I was still drinking coffee and picking sleep out of my eyes while fridge cleaning was going on. Delphi - at the pics that's hilarious and a lot of produce! Also, excellent choice of salad dressing;) That's it I totally am going to tackle something now too I feel so left out. CMo4 - wow that's a crazy day already, but you're an hour or two ahead, I'm sure of it :) It's true nobody should but he so wanted a chance to go see his grandma, sister and cousins. We just moved from a 5 hour drive to them to a 19 hour drive so we're a bit starved for some family fun. Not to mention that dd absolutely LOVES her greatgrandma who is 81 and starting to develop some heart related stuff but still has every marble and the more time dd can spend with her the better. I always leave the master bath for dh too, I hate scrubing the shower stall and then having to do the whirlpool too.:barf: And so far it's only 32oz but then again, I'm an hour or two behind:) Lene - I know I'm jealous too but blood is more important, you're gonna save a life! Blondie - wtg on losing the extra weight, I imagine it's upsetting to see a number with a 2 in front again so good on you! And LOL on the toilet, my dh now asks when I try a new workout if it passes the "toilet test" aka can I get off of it after I sit down. NSM/Nellonelllo - I'm just starting too so we'll all be the second wave Susie - isnt' the holding steady club fun LOL? good to see you. I just need to pause for a Delphi moment ;) This morning I was feeling fine as usual although last night dh and I had a late night enjoying some husband wifey time since he didn't work today and was up till about 1am (normally 10p-11p so wow!) I moved my run to Saturday so I didn't have to wake up at 6am today. Woke up at 7:30 with dd with a sore throat (guess my sinuses moved:() So I decided to take the day off today from exercise....Then I logged on and read everybody's stuff and laughed and felt inspired so I went and did 20 minutes HIIT on my elliptical instead of the normal 60 minutes I do when not running. First of all wow, that was awesome, and sweaty and I burnt 300 calories in 20 minutes (another wow) but I actually felt super energized after that as opposed to a bit drained like when I do 60 minutes. So that long winded novel was just a round about way of saying, thanks for all the HIIT advice, I see why it is much loved, it felt like a better workout in 20 minutes than I get in 60 and for everyone just being so awesome. And sure, I am the one who walked downstairs and did that but I'm also the person who decided not to do anything today before logging on. Thanks a million chickies, it takes a village...now onto those bathrooms. |
Ok, my bathroom is done!
It was kind of fun to have a race going (thanks Nello and Tummy!). I am so inspired that I think I will continue to a different room now...maybe the kitchen? I am thinking we should institute official Friday cleaning races! ours would be the cleanest houses in the whole 3FC! |
I think what FlyLady is doing is wonderful and she does have a nice program, but it looks like competition works pretty well for us haha. My bathroom is not finished, but I also haven't had the time or energy to attempt it in quite awhile because I was so worried about everything else. However last night I was like okay, living room looks awesome, kitchen looks way better, 2 bedrooms great, bathroom... lets not discuss that.. but it is coming along, threw out a lot of clutter and old makeup so that is a success in itself!
Okay, sorry I got side tracked. So I got all dressed and ready to take my 1 mile walk to the post office, stepped outside and it felt like my skin was burning off.. So it doesn't look like that is happening today. But we are getting cable hooked up and I have heard wonderful things about some Jillian Michaels fitness stuff on demand, so I will try that out later I think. Besides, it seems like switching up my exercise routine has helped A LOT! Yay for change! haha |

First of all, YOU LADIES ROCK!
Wow at every one finding the motivation to get up and clean today. Oh my gosh, I am just soooo happy. I think I'm gonna go outside and do a Chinese firedrill ..just cause. Gekster ~ Changing up your routine is an excellent way to keep your body guessing. So those on demand videos will probably be a great thing. NSM ~ :carrot: Way to go dear! :cheer: You ladies really keep me smiling. Wow...just wow! Hey I am so down for Friday cleaning races...I'm taking Sandye down. Oh yeah!!!!!! I'm flexing right now. lmao! How's that shoulder feeling? Tummy ~ I am so dang proud of you! Speaking of dressing, I started buying Walden Farms dressing. It is sooooo yummy and there is no fat, no calories, no preservatives, no carbs...you name it, it doesn't got it. And the taste is simply amazing. Just an FYI! I also tried the HIIT this morning on the treadmill and had an amazing workout. That stuff is made for champions. Think that is gonna be one of my goals next month, to implement a HIIT program. Susie ~ Hey before it's over with you guys will see all kind of pictures. I go picture crazy, though I wish I had a better camera. Hey you keep doing what your doing sweetie..it's workin'! looking ~ Looking good kiddo, keep up the groovy work. Nello ~ East coast/west coast we can all do this thing and burn some calories while we are at it. ;) Blondie ~ :congrat: on Onederland! I'm so envious! You, my friend have inspired me to pull out my old Taebo tapes, unfortunately, I don't have a VCR in here any more, I'm gonna pick me up a DVD or perhaps get one from Netflix, I use to do those things religiously when I was younger, before I gave birth to a mini football team. Sandye ~ See what you started? I bet when you go out, people just look at you and think, WOW, that lady is AWESOME! ;) You are rockin' it girl and I'm just trying to keep up. Lene ~ @ mini missions! I LOVE the sound of that. Secret agents chicks. Oh yeah!!!! Alrighty, I believe I'm caught up. I just finished my strength training so I'm feeling all, "I'm ready to pump you up" and stuff. My back is a little sore, but it will work it's self out. So is anyone thinking of goals for next month? I know I am. How can I push myself and change my routine up. I think I'm gonna start doing that every month. Change it up a bit...me and change are like peas and carrots. Ok, so I gotta run, gonna see if I can find something to do. See if I can beat you gals, to doing something. Now, don't go reroofing your houses or anything, I live in a rental and I can't do that. |
T_Girl, thank you for the compliment on my DD! :) And I did get a workout in last night! Good for you doing the HIIT when you weren't feeling so hot! That's dedication! And congrats on the new clothes! The pantsing incident made me chuckle!
CMof4, thanks! Yes, I was quite pleasantly surprised at the loss! I also like the Flylady site and willingly steal some ideas, but like you, I'm not ready to have them emailing me everyday. Besides, I like to do things my own way on my own terms. Delphi, thanks! It definitely sounds as if you have the top of the line in armbands! Keep up the good work, girlie! :cheer3: And I have to add that your fridge looks very nice! :D Joci, thanks! :) And I'm keeping my fingers :crossed: for you to lose those two lbs!!! :carrot: Lene, I know! There's a lot of cleaning going on! (Apparently, I was a day early, lol!) Now I have to get on the ball for a yard sale in August! Blondie, :congrat: on losing the 3 lbs! NSM and Nello, looks like this is becoming the Weight Loss and Cleaning Challenge! And NSM, now, you know that Delphi would win all those Friday races because she gets up at an impossible hour! Lol! :D Looking, :congrat: on being down to 244!! Great job!! :carrot: Susie, you have a great chance at making goal with only 2 lbs left to go! Keep at it! :cheer2: Gekster, did you see this article on Yahoo this morning: http://health.yahoo.com/experts/heal...t-leaner-legs/ ? It has leg exercises by Jillian and a link to more! Hi FSA and all our other ladies! Supachix, I hope y'all are doing well! We miss you! |
Delphi- I think for next month I am going to go for that 10 lbs for real. I realized when I came to this board I was seriously slipping, but fooling myself about it. Now I am back into the groove and I think I can do it!
Jacqui- No I didn't see it, thanks! |
Gekster ~ YOU CAN DO IT! And we will be right here to support you every step of the way. :)
|
Fly Lady is too funny and has nothing on me.
I could teach her a thing or two  I'm a hardcore, totally compulsive, anal retentive, clean & organized Pennsylvania German farm wife. My house is always clean & I always know what's in my closets, pantry, basement and drawers. Check out my old blog if you dare to venture into organized self reliance :D |
Alright All you Ladies I had a great uplifting week of encouragement from all of you and want to tell you how much fun you are. Thank you and lets kick it up a knotch this weakend:drill::woops::bike2::boxing::exercise::swi m::strong::ebike::tread::wl:

Blondie ~ I agree. These ladies are the best.
Susie ~ Wow at all the pictures and things on your blog. I bet you do keep real busy out there. Farming is a 24/7 job isn't it? |
Just a super quick post to say, it's all Delphi's fault!!!
You just couldn't keep your clean fridge to yourself could you? Look what you made me do!!! Before http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3396/...14e6d1c6c1.jpg After http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2444/...c8e893bf61.jpg All the beer and the two bags on the bottom shelf full of corn are for tomorrow's bbq. Geez, I have a ton of salad dressings don't I? *Please note the Mike's Light Hard Lemonade on top of the fridge...I'm saving it for a special treat! I'll be back later with personals...but I had to be sure to post this before Delphi went to bed to show her what a bad (great actually) influence she was on me! ;) Thanks hun, you totally motivated me!!! |
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::r ofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Oh Sandye, that is AWESOME! And me likes your fridge and get this, when I do drink, which is every blue moon, I drink me a mikes too. That is too cool Sandye! IT'S ON!
|
Good Job Delphi and Sandye! See Delphi? She could get 4 gallons of milk in her fridge! LOL I should be posting pics too. I do find them motivating.
Eating today>>> good water today>>> good vitamin today >>> good exercise>>> had to skip the HIIT today because of the whole blood donation thing, I was really dizzy today (which is normally not a problem for me and I give blood every 8 weeks) oh and MIKE'S HARD LEMONADE = yummy-ness!!! bathroom today>>> cleaned Blondie~ I'm with you about kicking it up a notch this weekend! LET'S DO IT!!:carrot: Gekster~ You can get those 10 lbs! Oh and Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred is really great but hard on the knees. Tummy~ Great job on the HIIT! It feels great, yes??? Today was Shrek 2 talking ogres and donkeys much, much better then talking Chihuahuas!:D Congrats on new clothes. You made me laugh with DH pantsing you today. LTBH~ :carrot: Great job on the loss!!!! NSM~ I think we should definitely do a cleaning race again next Friday! I'll join in with the West Coasters since I work until 11:30AM and then have to grab kids before I can start. Susie~ Hang in there... you are SOOOOO close! Jacqui baby~ Yes, I am a coupon freak. I do like to save money! It was great to see you hit another loss. You always seem to go in waves like you don't see losses for a while and then you get a couple of whooshes? You are doing so great!!! Sandye~ I pick and choose what Flylady things work for me. She does have a lot of really great ideas but I don't rely on e-mails anymore. Way too many! Delphi~ (You are probably in bed by now) but I want you to know how proud I am for all that you have become these last couple of months. Fitness Queen, great source of support and enthusiasm for all of us, and really seem to be getting it together. You are such a doll! Have a great weekend! FSA~ I know you are busy getting ready for Sunday but know I'm thinking of you!!!! Urock, Hattie and Supachix~ Hope you girls are doing well! I need to be up at 5 and it's close to 11PM so I better get to bed. My MIL is coming in from out of town tomorrow so I'll just be able to pop in briefly. Take care. |
