HI girls, just finished dinner a little bit ago and sipping on my water.
Jacqui, I have been pretty much on my own plan but did do the ph1 plan with Lene which was very helpful. As far as switching up my menu, I am aware of trying to steer clear of too many of the same lunches, dinners, etc. and incorporating some other foods I may not have eaten a while and just getting plenty of variety. I did have the roast chicken and salad tonight though. Oh it was good! NSM, thanks for checking for me! Ohhhhhhh, they should change the color again at 30 hrs. lol : ). Gatorgirl, I am glad you have full range of motion now! As for the strength, you will get it back. Yes, it takes time but what a wonderful goal you have! I think that is super! Keep up the good work. Thanks Delphi, you too :) :welcome2: Leigh  hi to all our gals...........I think I'm going to hit the couch! Maybe there is a good movie on tonight. Delphiiiiiiiiiiiii, we watched "The Uninvited" the other night, it was good! One of those psychological thrillers! I'm good at figuring t hem out but this one got me good! lol ;) June1 - 85min.-55 wii. aer.,30 min. walk June2 - June3 - June4 - June5 - June6 - June7 - Total: |
Hello everyone, I am new here hence only one other post. I thought that this looked like a good place to start. Just put on my workout clothes and headed to the tread mill.
Starting the couch to 5k workout(again). My June goal is to do it 3 nights a week and run a 5k by the end of August. |
June1 - 25 minutes treadmill...starting a new plan to get ready for the mile run/walk in July, 25 minutes Arc Trainer, 1 hours of pilates
|
FSA: About my avatar, thanks! It's actually a boy, and he looks really brown in that picture but he's actually grey. He's about 3 now.
Jacqui: I am the crazy cat lady, I have 8! But I'm married, and I only had two when I met my husband so I can't take all the blame. ;) Today's goal: I met it! 2 walks and well over 30 minutes of exercise |
FSA ~ ooooooooooooo that sounds great. I really wish I could catch up on movies. I can stream netflix on the xbox but it's too much money. Well perhaps one of these days I'll pay off that late fee at blockbuster and actually start renting movies again.
Pas de Chaton ~ :carrot: :broc: :carrot: Way to go on getting your exercise in today. Good for you and keep up the great work! Jacque ~ Looking good girlfriend! ;) startinmonday ~ Good for you getting on that treadmill and hey this is an EXCELLENT place to start. Support and encouragment...and general chatter can all be found in abundance here. :) Leigh ~ Just curious..what is Turbo Jam...I've never heard of it. At any rate, great goal..good luck. :) |
:wave:Hi girls!
I am having post cruise blues/reality check!!!!! Wow, it sure was nice to have such great service, and NO dishes to do!!!! I stayed on plan today, despite my body screaming for more, More, MORE! The service was 5star, I can't wait to go back in January!!! Jacque9999- are you still doing your bootcamp? I want to get out my pilates videos, it is so good for your tummy! Did I read somewhere you were into size 6's!!!! That is AWESOME!!!! WTG!!! Maybe I should sign up for bootcamp. startinmonday! :welcome: You have selected an excellent place to jump in! Of course that is just my opinion! these girls are Fanflipintastic! Good luck on your goals, keep us posted! FSA-Hi chickie! Oh I missed our chats, and so sorry to hear about your familys accident! Hopefully, they are all on their way to a full recovery. I am thankful they are all safe now! I thought of you while I was on Castaway Cay (Disney's island), You will never guess what I saw!!!!!! A little hummer! I sat for about 15 minutes and watched him till he flew away! He was soooo pretty! My garden got so huge while I was gone, DH kept the weeds at bay. I am going mulberry picking day after tomorrow. Wish you were here, I could use some good company/help!!!! How are all of your pretty flowers doing? Any pics of them yet? By the way, I know you can reach 1400 minutes this month!!!! WTG! let's kick some butt! Delphi- You look fanflippintasterific! WTG on upping your workouts! Sorry to hear about your ex's c**P! Glad to hear the pups have settled in some! I didn't now that great danes were mastiffs! hmm you learn something new everyday! gatorgirlyuck! a broken ankle, You get a big:bravo: for keepin' on. Lots of people would have just used it as an excuse to not work out! Keep up the hard work, it will pay off. 6/1- 3 miles walking |
OK, I think I am going to take the plunge and join the challenge! My goal is to do cardio 5 days a week for 60+ minutes/day. I am also want to burn at least 2700 calories 3 days/week and at least 2500 the rest of the days (I have a GWF)!
Hope everyone had a great first day! |
Thanks for the very kind welcomes :) There's so much to read here and I don't know where to begin!
I actually ended up walking 2 miles tonight instead of just 1. The friend I walk with on Tuesdays and Thursdays also wants to walk on Mondays, so I decided to just go for it. It works out well this week as I have a commitment tomorrow night (it's an every other Tuesday commitment) so I won't be able to meet up with her. Instead, I'll walk around my block 1 time when I get home from work. |
babes and startinmonday, :welcome3: startinmonday :wel3fc:
Great first day girls! :carrot::carrot: Pas de chaton! I thought I was a real cat lady having 4 (3 now). Wow at 8! I have a little pom too. They keep you busy but are such a joy to live with! wtg on meeting todays goal :cheer2: Delphi, lol :) I so know what you mean about blockbuster! When I was late bringing a movie back, I wouldn't go after for IONS. I think a lot of people did that because they stopped charging a late fee for a while. I think pay per view is hurting those places. I just order it on t.v now. When you get a chance, watch it.....:) Lewis girl, hi there :) I miss our chats too! Thanks for the kind words regarding my family. I am sooooooooooo glad you saw a little hummer while on your trip and got to see him for all that time too! Where are you going on the Jan. trip? OH girl, I'm a little upset about the morning glories. You know how much work I did on those. Well all of them (5 4 foot long buckets..or 3ft? with trellises are now out on the deck). THey are so tall now, about maybe 8feet. I saw a blossom the other day but it had a different hue. It was more a little bit of purple than the heavenly blue and the blossom didn't look nearly as large as usual. Anyhow, to cut to the chase....they don't look too good. Some of the lower leaves look like they are dying! Oh I hope I don't lose them. I think maybe those buckets weren't deep enough for them. They are vines so prob have vigorous roots. I will keep you posted chicky, thanks for asking. That's great that DH kept the weeds at bay. Oh you, regarding the mulburry bush and my being closer to be there........how great would that be! I would just love that! :) Thanks for the encouragement and wtg on your miles today! Have a great night girls and hope you all wake up to a new happy and successful day. |
gypsyrose, wtg on the walk :cheer2:

WI wasn't as bad as I'd prepared for. My WW buddy who is the reason we went camping this weekend was up a lot more than I was, but she drank a lot more than I did. The sad part is that my WW gain for the last 2 weeks is now 2 pounds! I'd only lost 3.6 before that, so after 6 weeks, I'm only down 1.6 pounds! Boo!
Anyway, as this is the EXERCISE thread, I'll quit complaining. I got in my exercise before WW with 1 mile on the treadmill and 45 minutes of strength training. I was hoping to get in some extra walking today since my WW buddy and I had been walking the church parking lot after WI, but she hasn't felt like it the last two weeks plus my husband was in the parking lot waiting for us. (After WW, we do dinner with my buddy and her b/f, but they live on the other side of town so sometimes we meet up to only take one car to bufu.) I'm already ready for tomorrow even though I'm paranoid it'll fall through. The husband has agreed to try going to the gym with me which means I won't go on the way home from work but will meet him at the other location on his way home. I will kick him if he backs out, damnit! |

Hey Ladies!!! Great first day! I'm so impressed with all your workouts!!
I walked about 5.2 miles today, so hopefully that's a good first step towards being back on track. I'm aiming at running tomorrow, and maybe playing some tennis. Anybody else following the French Open?? Anyways, let's keep the strong start to June going! |
:welcome: Leigh, Startinmonday, and Babes!! Glad you decided to join us!! I've added you to the list! Good luck!!
FSA, yes, so true, the same meals can get boring! I think I must have pretty bland taste buds, though, because I can stick with the same foods for a long time. Why, I rarely even salt food to spice it up! I add a little salt to eggs and rice and sometimes potatoes (oh and grits, when I was eating them), but that's about it! (Needless to say my sodium's always low when it's tested!) But even I like to switch things up and add a little variety sometimes! Joci, good luck on your new plan! :jig: :D Pas, oh I could so easily have 8 cats, if only my DH would cooperate! He'll only agree to two though. Someday! Lol! :D Lewis, oh how I wish I could go with you in January! It's sounds heavenly! Yes, the name Great Dane is actually a misnomer. They aren't Danish at all. They're German mastiffs. The American Kennel Club lists both names. GypsyRose, way to stay on top of your schedule and get those miles in!! Good job!! :cp: Glutio, great job getting your exercise in! I am keeping my fingers :crossed: for you that your husband will follow through tomorrow! But if he doesn't, you just get your exercise in anyway! Just do it for you!! :cheer: Ican, I can never help but chuckle at your "easy" days, lol! They kick my hard days' butts, lol!! Way to get back on track, girl! :trampo: |

Good morning all!
June 1st ~ Upper Body Strength Training June 2nd ~ Day one of HIIT program I didn't look like too much of a drunk this morning ;), but I can't help but feel like I didn't give it all. Mainly because at one point my heart started beating like mad (something it does from time to time--which I've mentioned to my dr. and he doesn't seem worried--said sometimes that just happens. Didn't want anyone to get worried or anything ;)) and I had to stop and take some deep relaxing breaths until it went back to normal. Silly heart, doesn't it know I'm exercising to make it healthier?! Sheesh! And that's how it thanks me...geez! ;) Hope you all have a wonderful day! :) |
Exercise Goals
I was a cardio freak until my knee went in October, and i have slowly been trying new things out.
I began doing Pilates and I go twice a week for 90 minutes a time. I also row and bike in the gym for about 40 minutes a time. And I am about to bring swimming back into the picture -- I think I have to start that at about 30 minutes a time for this month... SO... MY GOALS ARE: PILATES: 180 minutes a week, SWIMMING: 60 MINUTES A WEEK, CARDIO ON ROWER AND BIKE:120 MINUTES A WEEK. I JUST JOINED THE WEIGHT THREAD COMPANION LIST...JUST STARTED A MONTH OF ATKINS INDUCTION. |
Wow!!! Only the 2nd day of JUne and look what page we're on....wow!! lol.
June 1st- 1 hour of Power Pilates Kickboxing June 2nd- (1 hour Power Pilates Kickboxing, 1 hour treadmill/elliptical, 1 hour Pilates Fusion....well...that's the plan...we'll see) |
RubyJan, welcome! I've added you to the list! I'm so glad you decided to join us here too! Between Atkins and all this great exercise, that weight can't help but come off!! Good for you taking control! :cheer3::cheer2::cheer3:
Ican, love the new avatar pic! It's so artistic with its monochromatic color and off-centeredness! My niece is a professional photographer and it looks like a pic she would take! Very nice!! Lumifan, I know! These monthly threads just fly (on angels' wings)! Occasionally when there used to be a lot of posts to catch up with, I used to open two windows and take them both to the same thread so that I could flip back and forth between them, typing personals in one and scrolling down the other one reading the posts so that I could respond to them, but now I do that every time I come here, lol!! There's no way I'd be able to keep up otherwise! I think it's just great that so many people are actively involved!! I look forward to coming here every time! :carrot: Joci, GREAT JOB on the :running:!!!! You go girl!! :cp: CMof4, I'm sure once your heart gets used to the intensity of your new workout, it will jump right on board! :D Pace yourself though! Delphi, have you eaten today?! I have! What about you CMof4 and Joci? I see in the other thread that Lene has joined our ranks of forgetting-to-eat'ers! Lol! :D Well, I have to go do personals on the other thread and then I'm off to the Y for strength training! :lifter: June 1--60 min on recumbent bike |
My goal cardio 30 min 5x a week and strength training 2x a week!
June 1: Treadmill 30 minutes, arms, and abs June 2: Elliptical 30 minutes, abs |
Happy June 2nd to everybody. I've been at work since 8am, and I just now finished reading all the posts! Amazing work everybody!! [I actually think my boss is ready for me to get some work done, so I'll make it quick.
My monthly goals are: 45 mins. cardio. (mostly treadmill) 5x/week; + Strength Training 3x/wk June 1st no exercise June 2nd 30 mins. on treadmill (15 more scheduled for this evening with weights afterward). Good luck to everybody today! |
:welcome: to the exercise thread Wistfulgirl! Glad you joined us! I've added you to the list! Good luck!
Dollypie, you confused me for a minute! Lol! I thought, "Oh oh, did I miss adding Dolly to the list?! Oh wait, there she is! Did she change her goals?" But no, you're just being thorough and restating them! :D |
When I get down two more pounds, I'm changing my avatar picture again. Just a random fact I thought I would throw out there.
At any rate, good job ladies on getting that exercise in...keep up the good work! |
Awesome work so far everyone!
Big :welcome: to Leigh, Startinmonday, babes (glad you decided to take the plunge on this one too), RubyJan and wistfulgirl. Delphi: Turbo Jam is a workout series that you can get of infomercials on TV, it is a lot of cardio with martial arts moves and she has some strength training routine as well. I've tried it, but there is too much jumping and since I live in an apartment, I get worried the neighbours downstairs are getting annoyed at me so I don't use it anymore. glutio: Good luck with getting the hubby to the gym, hopefully we will not let you down! CMo4: Hey, at least you survived LOL. I was reading the website on HIIT and the guy said to just do whatever you could handle anyway, so I think you did well with pacing yourself. If your doctor is not worried about the palpitations, maybe your heart just needs time to adjust to this new level of activity. You'll be in top shape before you know it girl! I just finished my official workout for today. I was thinking about going for a walk later, but honestly, it's too darn hot right now and later I will get busy. Maybe I will add some free step on the Wii later tonight. June 1: EA Active Workout 22 min. + 30 min free step = 52 min. June 2: EA Active Workout 24 min. |
NSM, it is HOT here too!! Thank goodness for the YMCA's air conditioning, lol!
Delphi, I wondered about your change in pics so often! I figured it was just a natural "woman" thing, you know like changing clothes or changing purses, lol! Now, that I know the criteria, I understand, because you drop lbs left and right! And your pics are all so pretty, so keep 'em coming! :) June 1--60 min on recumbent bike June 2--60 min strength training; 30 min walking |
I haven't exercised for 5 days! I took a couple days as a break, and then I got a very vert horrible sunburn - it hurts to walk let alone exercise! But I am going to join you guys! I had a total of 1765 min in May. I want to get around the same for June. Give or take a few.

All my complaining about it being too hot outside and then I get a call that I need to go drop off some papers and what did I do? well... I walked! It was a good walk, but at times I felt like a was going to burn to a crisp under the sun LOL
June 1: EA Active Workout 22 min. + 30 min free step = 52 min. June 2: EA Active Workout 24 min. + 30 min. walk = 54 min. |
Hi girls! I am gonna make this quick....I think I have/am getting a cold so my workout today is a little puny. I walked around walmart for 1 mile, and now I am headed to bed with my little bottle of nyquil! I hope everyone has a great night.
|
Congrats to all those who got in those "hot" walks today. I got in NO excersize today...other than shopping. I was sooo tired this morning that i skipped kickboxing today. Then, i was so busy out getting ready for my dd's 18th bday, that i didn't get to go to the gym this afternoon either. Then... we took her out to eat at an all you can eat chinese restraunt and i ate WAY too much. And to top it all off...we came home and had ice cream cake.
But...tomorrow is a new day and i will be excersizing HARD!!!! I WILL work off all this food before it attaches to my waistline. |
Well, after my test I was off to the gym. It was extremely busy. I don't think I will go at that time again, if I can avoid it.
June 1~ 8 miles stationary bike, 2 miles elliptical June 2~ 8 miles stationary bike |
June 1 - 2 walks, 40 minutes exercise - GOAL MET
June 2 - 2 walks, 30 minutes exercise - GOAL MET |
june 1- 2 kilometers and 10 minutes of cycling accomplished
june 2- accomplished again.... http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/bar-re...0/150/251/.png |
June 1 - 60 minutes of cardio, got really close to 2500 calories burned
June 2 - 120 minutes of cardio, on track to burn 2700 for the day |
I ran 2 miles today, and wow, did they feel loooong. I also played some tennis and did some push-ups, sit-ups etc. All in all, a good day. 7.2 out of the 40 miles I want to put in before I go to Alaska.
Jacqui, I took my new avatar with the camera that's on my computer, so I can't really claim any credit for it...it's also nearly a year old, but my old avatar picture was nearly 4 years old...clearly, change is something I do slowly ; ) Lewisempire, I hope you feel better soon! Great job everyone! Keep up the good work. |
Got the husband to the gym today! We went to the location closer to our house, and I just did NOT like being there! The one I've been going to the last 2 weeks is brand new, much more open and has fewer people.
I only did half a mile on the treadmill today because DH couldn't hold out longer. I think if I can get him back in the gym Thursday (he agreed to go to the new location), I can finish my mile for the week and get the 5th in this weekend. I still got in my weight in. I wouldn't let DH give up before I was done with the machines that I wanted to do. I skipped one, but I did a different arm thing that I hadn't done before. Yay me! |
Looking good ladies!
glutio ~ Way to go on getting the hubby to the gym. Hopefully, both of you can push each other and do this together. icandoallthings6613 ~ :carrot: :broc: :carrot: Great job on getting those miles in chicky. I'm staying on plan and nothing can stop me now *evil laughs* ;) Now I'm off to do personals in our sister thread. You ladies keep up the groovy work! Daily Progress Week 1 June 1 ~ 60 minutes on treadmill [45 minutes strength training] June 2 ~ 60 minutes w/My Fitness Coach [cardio] [20 minutes Wii Fit] June 3 ~ 60 minutes on treadmill [45 minutes strength training] |
Wow -- Delphi --you ARE the Mistress of Exercise! Impressive.
I did my 40 minutes of biking and rowing in the gym just now, and am feeling pretty hungry. What an amazing list of action women on this thread. I am filled with aspiration, and death to depression! |
