Ms_P, Congrats on the 1 lb loss! You are really on a roll!! Hi to all our ladies! Hope you are all doing well! I went for my orientation on the weight machines this morning at the Y. That was fun! I did 8 reps on each machine, and the instructor said I would definitely feel it tomorrow, although we kept the weights light because of my RA. Then I walked for 45 minutes, so it was a good morning! :) |

monday - walked 1 mile
tuesday - worked all day today - walked 2 miles 39.1/10.5/28.8 Trying to finish writing tonight so I can edit and bind my thesis tomorrow and be all ready to hand it in Friday. I haven't had time to exercise properly (or to sleep or eat properly either, but oh well). So close to being done! Wish me luck : ) |

Lewis, thanks! Actually, I'm doing very well this morning. I don't notice any aches or pain worse than the aches and pain I have every morning from the RA. I'm just thankful all my joints still work, lol! Ican, I have thought of you so often this week! I'm very excited for you! It must be the English teacher in me. Although my red pen is now retired, I taught high school for 15 years, including Honors Writing, so I've written and read plenty of papers, and I know it will just be such a relief to you to be finished! I actually did a workout dvd in addition to walking to the library and running around with the kids. I really want to see a good # at WW tonight. It's gonna be a crazy day. I'm taking my 4 & 5 y/o daughters to a gymnastics place to try it out right after WW, so I'll be running around like a crazy person tonight. I gotta be sure to take my water bottle with me so I don't make the same mistake I did yesterday (not getting enough water in the afternoon and evening). I'm glad I've gotten my exercise time in this morning! Best of luck on finishing you paper strong icando! You will have plenty of time for healthy living after you're done, of course. But you're doing great now, just keep on posting and working on it! |

And thank you for the compliment about the exercise--I think I'm actually beginning to like it! The gym really makes a difference! :exercise: Thanks, FSA! I did the machines on my own for the first time today, and added a tad bit more weight so that maybe I can feel it in my muscles tomorrow. (Not that I want to ache, mind you, lol, but just to feel like it's actually working!) I did stay away from the machine that works the muscles just above the knees. I didn't think my knees were ready for that, and I went very light on the weight that would work my shoulders because I tend to have trouble with my right shoulder, but other than that, I feel good about the weights that I used today! :lifter: And I got my walk in too, so yay! :running: Thanks Ms_P! I am hoping that getting this extra weight off will improve my condition tremendously. I have a lot of anxiety issues and it is starting to effect my ability to exercise. I know it is supposed to help but sometimes when I am just generally anxious I start worrying about overdoing it in my cardio classes and then I end up with my heart racing. Dumb huh? Well anyway, I figure I am just going to need to slow down in my classes until I get over this slump. Things are bad at work and I need to get a resume together and make a concentrated effort to look for something else. If I just get going on that I think I will feel more empowered and less anxious. |

Good morning ladies! I'm up early today because I fell asleep way early last night. I don't know why, but I was just so sleepy. Maybe because of being out in all that wonderful sunshine!! :sunny: It was absolutely beautiful here yesterday. I hope it was warm and pretty where you are too! I'm thinking it must have been, since so many were away from their computers, lol! I figure you were probably like me, out soaking up some vitamin D! :beach:

HI girlssssss. How was everyone's weekend? Mine positively fantastic. Ran very first "real-live" 5K. I ran it in 36:50! I had on my Forerunner (Personal Navi device) and realized I actually ran 3.5 Miles in that time......uber stoked! I am so ready to get to the gym today! I gotta work hard. There are only 3-1/2 days left of April. And for May 1st I have signed up for the Bootcamp so I can't wait to start that. Of course I will still be here!
Jacqui - My whole weekend wa beautiful that way! On saturday after the race, Haip appointment, hanging out at Mom's, and hanging out by the water when I finally laid down I think I was sleep before my head hit the pillow. FSA- A walk on the beach huh? What a grat way to exercise on such a beautiful day!!!! Terapet - You are doing aawesome!
