Ooooo, you have a Mastiff! You therefore really know about drool. I had 2 Great Pyrs (unfortunately, I lost them both to extreme old age in the last 6 months ), and boy was it Drool City!

Welcome Theresia and PrettyPaula!!!

Yeah, 5 lb increments are nice to focus on, instead of the whole big whopping number! And then before you know it you're focusing on the next 5 pound increment!

I am so in on this one!

My starting weight is 168.0 so my goal is 163.0

My motivation to work out comes from little rewards I love Men in Trees (TV show) and can't watch it on Wednesday's so before I can watch it Thursday I have to work out....stuff like that every day keeps me going. I never make food a reward (anymore) kinda defeats the purpose

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss Great Pyrenees are so gorgeous, don't know if I could deal with all that hair though!
Yes we're well acquainted drool and I. I used to be pretty finicky about dog globs but well as gross as it is after a while you just throw your hands up and learn to deal with stepping in drool spots from time to time! <OK to those of you that just shuddered, the dogs' great qualities make up for it!!> Mine is not too bad for the breed but yes there's drool cloths in every room!

Darby~ yes I know how you feel. I'm doing WW now and do drive myself nuts sometimes. It works though so I going to try my best to stick to it. When I don't write things down I end up starving myself thinking everything I ate was going to make me gain.

As for exercise my plan is to start curves thursday So please scale be nice and show me a 228... After a month or so at curves I want to join a regular gym.

Tyler- Do you plan on buying another dog?

I wouldn't know anything about mastiff's... other than my good friend breeds them. I do have an american pit bull. Only drool from our dog is when I'm making dinner and she hopes to get some when we are ready to adopt another dog we are looking for either a french bulldog or and english bulldog.

I am a huge dog lover and so is everyone in my family. My dh "adopted" my two yorkies whom I have had since spring 1993. I recently lost the second of the two. I lost the first two years ago. I miss my little puppsickles sooo much.
We will get a bigger, non-drooly, trying for non-shedding the next time we get a dog. I would like an additional toy dog just for me, though. My babies (4ds) are growing up and I like a good snuggle with someone in my arms as often as I can get one!

Back to the scale. That s*n of a b^&*^ch !! I got on this am, Sunday-really staying OP and saw 152. So I got off, trying to squeeze out a 151.5, and got back on-- saw 152.5--up! And repeat-- 153!! twice!! Then I straightened the scale out,- it was on a diagonal instead of a rectange, and repeat-- 152.5. And that's where I ended this ridiculous event!!
I am exactly in the middle of my cycle, and I think I will have much frustration in the next two weeks. C'est la vie. I'm staying OP and I know I will see results one day.

start 152.5 goal 147.5

Boy, do I want to change my siggie. But I want an even 152 at least-- and it has to be on a Monday, b/c that's my official day. Oh, the mind games we play with ourselves!!

We still have two dogs that we've always called our "young kids" but I guess that they actually aren't that young anymore (they are both 7). They were only "young" in comparison to our "old kids" (the 2 Pyrs were 15 and 14). Going from 4 dogs to 2 dogs has been strange, the house isn't as full of noise. But neither of our remaining dogs are droolers, so there is really no more drool in our house.

I love all Pits, I've kind of always wanted a white Pit or Staffie with the pink nose. Lord knows enough of them are available for adoption since so many people don't want them.

I just bought it yesterday, started in on the 3 mile one.. It's a welcome change after the bggest loser one I have been doing FOREVER. It's not as intense as Biggest loser ( YAY! HAHA) But I'm liking it. It's perfect for a rainy day, that's for sure!! It's so popular and I see why.. it really energizes me! I don't feel like i need to.. like.. take a nap after this! haha.. I just wanna keep going!!!

And losingforanother..thanks for the welcome!! I am always up for a challenge.. I just moved to Kansas and havn't got any workout buddies here... thank you heavens above for 3fatchicks

Kittycat: I am cracking up over your scale episode this morning.. because I went through the same thing! I think i reweighed myself 5 times this morning.. wanna make a pact to step away from that damn thing for the week. I think it would be good for our inner peace.. haha The scale is giving me a complex!! lol

I'll give you my roommate's pit mix lol! She's a sweetheart really but MAN do they have energy while they're young. Compared to the lazy English Mastiff it's been a struggle dealing with her. She's also a 5 foot fence jumper which let me tell you does not make her any friends. My neighbors have seen me running up and down the street, in the woods, through the nearby apartment complex in my pjs, flipflops and no bra (ladies I'm not a tiny girl, this isn't a good thing) more then they should have to! I guess I get in extra exercise that way though!
