Lekhika, for somebody getting over the flu I think the grazing is somewhat understandable. Don't push it too hard too soon or you'll end up down again. Maintaining is a good thing sometimes.
Speaking of maintaining, sort of. Does anybody else seem to play this game where it's the same weight for days on end and then a relatively huge change? Like 1/5 pounds, 2 pounds, whatever? Heck, even when I bop back up on the scale it's never 0.5, .02, it's always 1+ something. |

I think it's the water weight or time of day. Stick to one weigh in, same day every week, same time, same clothing, same everything, to get an idea of what's really happening. The in betweens always discourage me-- I gain 2 pounds in two days, then lose another 3 in five more days. Weird. I just weigh in on Sat mornings every week and record those. |
Sorry not been around things got crazy here but finally slowing down. I did crappy this week and gained but also AF should be showing up and I always gain with it. I'm cutting back on calories I eat see what happens.

kappy... I had a couple weeks with no change... and I was weighing myself everyday. It drove me bonkers... I was having fluctuations over 5 pounds higher or lower. I'm assuming it's just water weight changes? Anyways... I'm happy to report I'm down another 3 pounds this week. I'm totally on top of my goal for CDN thanksgiving :) Yay! |
Hey all! Hope you all had a great weekend.
I had a strange one. Every time I sat down I swear I fell asleep. Then could not sleep at night. Go figure. Makes for a real fun Monday morning (not!). In my last post I asked if anybody else had experienced the scales from Hades. I was the exact same weight for 7 consecutive days. Not one tick up or down. This morning up 2.2 pounds. I could scream, but honestly it's not worth it. I know it was an incredibly lazy weekend, I think the eating was ok but apparently not quite! I'm on a different med, love to blame it but I think the blame lies elsewhere! So it's back to documenting everything on FitDay, there has to be a tweak or ten or twelve that will get things moving in the right direction. Have to figure out how to step it up at the gym too, I'm thinking the intensity is the easiest (ha!) thing to increase (ha! ha! I'm so flippin' funny when I'm exhausted!). I swear that scale is going to be going the right direction SOON! |

I'm down half a pound. I think it would have been more except for water weight. I had a very salty meal on Sunday afternoon and drank 8 bottles of water because I was so thirsty the rest of Sunday and I didn't have to go to the bathroom that much until yesterday afternoon, after my weigh-in. So here's hoping for a good loss next week. I still think I can reach my goal. And hey, a loss is a loss is a loss. :) I can do this!

I tried posting yesterday, but my computer kicked me out again! Anyway, last week was awful! I ate like there was no tomorrow. However, I'm back on it as of yesterday. I've decided that eating intuitively doesn't work for me (as much as I wish it did), and I still hate counting calories, so I've decided to go back to an eating plan that works, but is pretty restrictive. I've always been able to lose weight when I eat like this. The plan is called the McDougall plan, and it's whole foods (vegan, low fat,). I've been vegan for years, but sadly a junk food vegan, so now it's time to really get back into eating healthy. Luckily, my husband is doing this with me, so it will be much easier this time around. Sounds like everyone else is doing pretty well. Fooled, half a pound down is good! Better than up! Good job Valpal! 3 lbs rocks! Mom2mollie-welcome! Don't you hate how men can lose weight faster? So annoying. Theprettyone-sounds like you're doing really well! You'll be ready for the beach in no time! Lekhika-are you feeling better? The flu takes a while to get over. Keep going everyone! |
I hit 142 last Sunday....then sat around 144 all week, then hit 142 again yesterday. This is how my weight loss has been ALL along, never a consistent loss and its SOO frustrating!!!!!

Theprettyone-- that's how mine is, too! Down a pound, up a couple, etc. Yucky. I just count the lowest weight I've seen as the correct one and everything else as water weight... ;)
We just got back from a minibreak and I stopped counting calories and ate some pretty rich foods-- thankfully balanced it out with a couple of hardcore sweaty bike rides in the pretty scenery, but we're home and I'm back on track! |

Hey everyone!
I'm thinking of trying yoga again. Still waiting *impatiently* to see if Spirit Halloween will call me. I put the app in only last week but I wanna start NOW! Sarah says its lots of fun and I need MONEY! So I have to get my stepfather a really nice gift this year! He has been taking care of me since mama's gone. We went to the car part place today and he got me the much needed windshield wiper arm, headlight bulb, and the little button thing that rolls up my windows. Tomorrow we're going to get a door handle so I can stop reaching across the seat to open the passenger door! And he fixed my power steering so all I need to get is some fluid and I'm set! Plus he brought me lunch AND put VERY much needed gas in my car! YAY stepdaddy! |
I'm tetering at 142.0 as we speak!! It was 142.6-142.8 the last week. 141 Here I come!!! Now we're moving! :)
I may be able to make my 5lb Thanksgiving goal afterall!!! |

I am working out so hard and being so strict with my calories, but this nursing a baby thing is just keeping the pounds on me, I think! We will start getting more solids pretty soon, so maybe the weight will start coming off then... I've lost 1 more lb... |
