Chicks in Control, July Exercise!

Okay, okay, so I'm a little late again!

If anyone would like to post their exercise, come on in! :welcome2:
I'm going to challenge myself to running at least three times a week. But I'm aiming for more.

In fact, there are a few people who should be joining me in here... tap tap tap...

I ran yesterday.
10 minute run, 2 min walk, 3 min run, 2 min walk, 3 min run. :running:

Kate109 07-04-2006 08:38 AM

Exercises...mmh...exercises...
Here is what Iīve done so far this month:
- running around in total panic (48h til exam!!)
- running around searching my little cat
- jumping up and down and screaming while watching scoccer (you know, Worldchampion- thing here in Germany at the moment)
- walking past the hometrainer a few times per day
- fighting with my binge beast (call me Muhammed Ali...)

Ok, I guess my exercise regime could need a bit...improvment. But I begin to be seriuosly commited (??) about it. Really.

Iīll write more when I am really exercising....

Kate: Ugh! I'm soooooo sick of football and I'm sooooo glad that we are nearing the finals so that my hubby doesn't force me to watch 3 games a day anymore!!! I am interested to see who ends up winning though! hehehe

hmmm excercise! I willllll do my eliptical and my workout dvds!

dgpebbles 07-04-2006 11:21 AM

Hi ellis! nice to see you again...

Kate - you exercise looks alot like mine...lol

I am so unmotivated right now...I need to get moving..lol...anyway my goal for this week is to work on my stomach so I'm planing to do at least 20+ sit ups per day and I would like to get in 3 days of cardio this week...
I managed to get in my sit ups for yesterday

ellis 07-04-2006 07:33 PM

Hi, Donna! Are you getting your sit-ups in, girl? :drill: Come on... it'll take you five minutes out of your day... you can do it!

Kate, that sounds like plenty enough exercise for you at present. ;) Hang in there, girl.

Scooter, how are you doing? Are you squeezing some exercise in? :)

I just ran. I am in agony. I could only run 10, walk 2, run 3, walk 6 today. My thighs are killin' me. I could barely make it up the basement stairs.
You know when you have those days when you just don't have it in you? Well, I'm hoping that's all this is.

Kate109 07-05-2006 03:20 AM

Good morning!

Ok, my main exercise is still running around in panic, but I really made it do some REAL EXERCISES today!! Wow!!

Well, but unfortunately I noticed that our hometrainer (stationary bike) is broken...But I have a bandage for me knee, I hope that I can go walking again very soon.

So I did 15 Min cycling on an broken bike (was terrible hard), than 5 Min on the stepper (not good for my knee) and some Sit- ups etc for 10 Min.

And I am willing and prepared and everything to continue posting in that exercise thread! I am gonna make it this time!!

Kate

My challenge for July 2006 is to do cardio 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Started yesterday, so I hope I will stick to it this time around:dizzy:

HarpoChicoGroucho 07-05-2006 03:57 PM

Guess what I finally did? I exercised!!!! Twice in the past 48 hours actually. I've been SO unmotivated when it's come to exercise the past 2 months have once again realized how necessary exercise is if I want to LOSE weight, not maintain at a weight I am not happy with. It doesn't matter how on plan I am with my eating, the weight still refuses to budge without exercise. I did two 30 minute run/walk sessions on the treadmill. And I'm going to try to get at least an hour a day of proper exercise in every day from now to goal. And then chop it down to 3 days a week when I'm at goal.

Wow ellis I don't know how much exercise you normally do but this sounds like lots to me. I can only dream of being able to do that much.

Kate109 07-07-2006 05:09 AM

I really exercised.
I did one hour of walking and running this morning. I am so feed up with walking- I want to be a runner! But my knee hasnīt the same opinion. But i didnīt care today.

Exercising helps me to get rid of that dissapointed and angry feelings. Interestingly, for the first time in my life, I feel the urgent need to move.
I would love to be able to run around and kick something....Maybe i should give soccer a chance....But I am so bad when it comes to ball sports. But i would love to....

Anyway. I exercised today. Just wanted to say it.

Kate

dgpebbles 07-07-2006 12:07 PM

well so far I've only managed to get in 2 days of my sit-ups this week...I just can't manage to get going right now...hope I can finish out my weekend goals...and I plan to start out next week with a bang..

Kate-way to go getting in your exercise today

Harpo-congrats on getting in your exercise...I also am so unmotivated right now...maybe we can motivate each other

gremlina-wow ..I wish I had your energy.

Kokomo 07-07-2006 04:45 PM

Oh Kate I used to love to run but my knees have been injured from it. I still burst in to short jogs now and then but my knees cry in pain. I do find walking is almost as good and I get the same getting rid of the dissapointment and angry feelings. There is something about getting out side and moving that cheers me up and puts me in a positive mood.

July 8--2.3 km walking, 30 crunches

dgpebbles 07-08-2006 10:21 AM

Idrial 07-08-2006 03:55 PM

Friday, lots of walking in Kansas City

Saturday, 1 hour pool exercises, 15 minutes dancing like a crazy fool in my living room!

Kate109 07-09-2006 07:46 AM

Juchu, I walked one hour this morning!
That means: exercise challenge this week: DONE

gremlina 07-09-2006 05:24 PM

July 6th- Walked 4 miles
July 7th-"The Firm: Fat Blasting Cardio" (35 min)..I should have done more that day.
July 8th-Walked 4 miles
July 9th-Off (I only exercise 6 days/week).

Oh..believe me every day I force myself to exercise but I usually do it before I really start my day so I have no excuse kwim? I really want to get into running but want to wait until I lose a bit more weight so it will be less stress on my knees.

Stacey

Ok, according to my food journal I did my walking running exercise on Thursday (or Tuesday? The day after Wednesday. Always mess it up!)- I am so confused at the moment, thank god I am writing it down!

And I did my strengthening exercises in the past days. 15- 20 Min each day :D

Mmmmh, doing exercises and liking it- strange things are going on

Kate

Kate109 07-16-2006 06:29 AM

Hello, anybody else outthere?

My report: 15 Min. strengthening exercises yesterday, 70 min Walking and running today (I ran/ jogged more than 25 Min)

Kate109 07-20-2006 06:30 AM

HELLO ???!!!

Ok, itīs not the most vivid thread here....Just wanted to post that I did my exercises. I am now at 30 Min running three times a week and 15- 20 min strengthening exercises each day.

dgpebbles 07-20-2006 08:40 AM

kate-great job...wish I could run for 30 min....keep up the great work..How did you start out with your running to build up your time?

as for me I finally made it to the gym on tuesday and I plan on going again tonight if I can get off work on time..

destinationbride07 07-20-2006 10:02 AM

great job kate :)

HarpoChicoGroucho 07-20-2006 10:13 AM

YAY Kate!!!

Kate should inspire all of us to get off our butts!!!

I have been getting in 3 mile walks (at NIGHT of course or I'd probably die of heat stroke). I'm doing it, just bad at reporting on it.

Kate109 07-21-2006 06:20 AM

Hey, Hello everybody!

Harpo: To be honest: I am bad at reporting my exercises as well. But I am much more worse (??) at remembering if i exercised today, how long....Writing it in that thread helps me memorizing somehow. Ok, and I am a little proud....

dgpebbles Thank you! I actually started with walking. I walked to a nice road (not much hills, forrest around, not so hot) and then I ran for a time. If I couldnīt breathe anymore, I walked again. When feeling better: running.
I am still running slowly- all that extreme fit runners are outrunning me. I was always afraid about that (because of that "Haha, see that fat girl running" factor), but there was no rude comment until now.
The strangest thing is that i still walk at the beginning and the end. Not because of my fitness level, itīs just because there are certain people who are saying that I mustnīt run because I am overweight. I should walk- but i hate walking! So I am cheating a bit.....

Kate
