Non scale victories

  • SO I recently got a group of ladies together and started a non scale victories challenge. I was having trouble with obsessing about the number on the scale and wasn't taking the time to acknowledge my non scale victories, like fitting into a pair of pants I've owned and couldn't wear for years, or choosing to drink water instead of soda, or not having that delicious slice of cake.

It's only been a week and a half but it has so eye opening. I've been learning more about myself and how I want to achieve my goals. My point, don't ever ignore any of your successes, no matter how small they may be because those are the moments that show us we can do this! <3
  • Great reminder! Last night I was victorious over the cheese puffs downstairs. Non-scale victory!

hahaha I love it. That is a major non scale victory!
  • Woot!

My NSV was, I bought pants last week that were on borderline tight and today they were fitting quite nicely.
  • So much of long-term success is in having a good attitude, and NSVs -- so important!

So many seemingly small good decisions, made every day, kept up over time -- that's where it is AT. Celebrate every one!
  • My non-scale victory is cruising through the kitchen and not leaving it chewing.
  • This is a great idea. I gave up weighing myself a long time ago, since I tend to get obsessed on the numbers.

This weekend, I had a NSV when I tried on a light cute jacket that hasn't fit for a few years and it fit perfectly. It's not loose like I usually like jackets to be, but it's not tight. It fits just right over a light long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Since I only had thick jackets that fit me, it's nice to be able to wear a light jacket again now that the weather is changing :-).
