  • Hi everyone -- I enjoy getting home and being able to check in on all of you in the wee hours. I have good news. After weeks of binging I did not binge today. I had some hard hours, had some sugar withdrawals, but I made it through. And i plan on doing it tomorrow. What i did a little different was I had some protein snacks with me, that helped, and I had some strawberries that are low carb enough they don't cause me sugar highs-lows, but a little sweetness that helped my sweet tooth get through a day without binging.

Alisa -- you were having it tough, and the 6 miles walk is awesome. Keep hanging in there.

    Golden Oldie -- welcome back.

Getting fit and everyone else who is on the binge-free wagon -- congrats -- you're inspiring to those of us struggling.

Everyone hang in there and have a great and Happy Easter.
  • Quote: 14 hours into the day without bingeing. Longer than I made it most of the week. I just have to think how good it will feel to go to sleep tonight without hating myself for bingeing. My cravings aren't as had today, probably because I stayed away from sugar so far. Need to escape sugar one more time today (coworkers birthday) then i have a chance. I will keep praying.
Thank you all for being such good examples!!!
That's inspiring --and it's a good reminder to me to sometimes just remember i need to count hours.

    And you're right, praying helps.

    Hang in there.
  • Hey ladies! I am a serial binger. I have to commit to this challenge. I have had a terrible start of the month due to stress and over working!!!! Although I am busy, I need to know how to stay in control. Wish me luck!!!
  • I hope you all had a nice easter?i rode my bike with my husband to EL POLLO and ate lunch.i had a leg and salad.I told my husband i don't want candy cause it will lead to a binge.I gave a pound of SEE'S away for that reason. It's not worth it
  • Hey all! Still binge free. I did a 2.5 mile hike in the hills today and I've got a big sweet potato roasting in the oven right now for dinner. I hope you all are doing well, too. I'm praying for all of you who are working through Easter dinners with family. Good luck!
  • I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I did, and I'm happy to say that I stayed within my cal range.

Demosthenes, thanks for your prayers. That probably got me thru another day.
  • Thanks for the welcome, Jalsa and Elizabeth.
Good Luck Hillary - you're in the right place.
Sounds like Easter went pretty well for everyone - I had a good one except for the fish hook embedded in my thumb and didn't even catch a single fish
Working on 2nd bingeless evening - Keep up the good work all
  • Hi. I'm new here. It's great to see you all supporting one another. I struggle with binge eating. The last two weeks have been one huge binge. It's amazing how much damage you can do in two weeks. I'm busting out of my clothes. I am hoping to have a binge free day today. Usually if I can have one day, it will lead to others. So, if I can just make it through today....
  • Hi ELG and welcome, we all know how you feel because we've been there, just take it easy one day at a time - for me it's day 9 today
  • Hey everyone! Hope it's going good for you today, let's take this one day at a time and do our best. I'm kind of realizing that overeating a little every once in a while is not so "scary" or "bad." sometimes, it just happens. But that's no excuse for me to binge 4x a week :P I have the most trouble on the weekends, so I"m going to make that my goal, to get through M-F and stay on track atleast partially Saturday and sunday good luck gals!
  • Good morning all and Happy Binge-free Monday

    Welcome to those just joining.

I'm happy to report that I'm working on day 9 of no binging. It feels so good!
  • Cheers to a binge-free Monday, everybody!
  • I want to join!
I have a huge binging problem. I'm a big disordered eater. I'm doing calorie counting, and it's working. Really well for me. I can have anything I want in moderation, which is helping me learn to eat "normally" without going crazy. A couple of days ago I broke down and ordered pizza. I kind of binged on that and ended up eating like 3000 calories that day!!! I have a history of bulimia, but haven't given into that behavior in a while, and then during this binge I walked all the way into the bathroom and was ready to purge when I stopped myself. Which was a victory in my book. But I'm ready to get control of the cycle. Normally I would NOT log the days I go way overboard. Now I'm going to, no matter what. Accountability!
I'm excited to be part of this thread. I'm on day 2.
  • I've gone 6 weeks without binging, BUT TODAY I almost caved in and went to Pizza Hut - I swear I was "this close" to ordering a pizza. My son in the back seat said "you can't have that or you will be fat forever...." --- that was enough for me to keep moving and I came home, drank a bottle of water and ate my 100 calorie, low-carb medifast soup.....
On plan a solid six weeks without a binge.
  • Gettinfit- glad to hear you're still on track!

Minchievictim- you sound a lot like me, and a binge without a purge is an awesome step in the right direction!

Ubskinny- 6 weeks is awesome! Way to go on not getting pizza- lucky you have a little angel on your shoulder ;-) even when it's maybe not worded the way we want to hear things- you are inspiring to me, I can only hope to go that long!

Here's to day 9 for me! Spring break is over for my students so it's back to the daily grind.. But I'm feeling like I can do it! :-)
