I need help.....

  • Hi, I had been taking diet pills for 2 years, and just finally stoped about 3 weeks ago. I am really happy that I'm not hurting my body with these pills anymore, BUT I'm terrified that i am giong to gain back the 30 lbs that i lost. Since i stoped it seems that all my good eating habits that i did start have just gone down the drain, and I find myself Bindging and ignoring how much i am eating. I even caught myself wanting to purge. I can't keep doing this cause it is going to drive me CRAZY. If anyone is gong threw the same thing out there that would like someone to chat with, PLEASE let me know! I just need someone to talk to.
  • I hate to think no one is answering you
I don't have any answers but keep on coming and sharing...this is a great site with lots of support...find a home here and get to know others.....hang in there!

  • Thanks, that is what i was thinking. I just wish i could meet someone who was going threw somewhat of the same thing. Or someone to get it threw my head that I need not to stess over food. I did read a GREAT quote last night however, it was something like, if you keep telling yourself that you are normal when it comes to food, you will eventully be just normal when it comes to food. I thought about that and it really made sence to me. And i know that it is all a battle of self dicaplain, and with out that what do you really have.
  • I'm sure you know alot of your own anwers
You sound like you have lots on the ball.

Have you ever had therapy...in my 38 years I have had a couple rounds and it helped alot. I also think that there is a chemical component at times and a doctor and medication can help too...do you see a doctor?

Support is a big part of things too though, so keep on coming to 3fc and find a cozy spot to check in each day....you won't regret it!

  • Maybe....
I honistly can't afford to go to a doctor right now, just graduated college, moving in like 2 weeks into my first apartment, alot of stress right now. I am glad i have found this site. It seems like it is going to be very helpful
  • What did you graduate with? Lots of luck in your new apartment...what an exciting time in your life...hang in there!

  • I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. Ya, it's a real exciting time in my life, a real frustrating time as well. It just seems like so much can happen all at the same time, and you just have no control over it.
