Default Has anyone else lost their appetite?

This is the strangest thing for me. I used to be hungry non-stop and put down some major amounts of food... but lately I am almost never hungry. Today was the worst. I had to force myself to eat breakfast, lunch AND dinner. I make great tasting, healthy food and a variety of it. I just never feel like eating.

Has anyone else experienced this, or am I having some sort of other problem you can think of?

haha, no.

Sometimes I loose my appetite (or more like just grossed out with myself) and don't feel like eating when I've had more than I should have. Like today, I had sushi, and not the healthy kind, and am just not in the mood to eat. But it's bad habits from the past, and i'm trying to change them.

I've been like that as well for the past few days. But, I can attribute it to stress. I kind of wish I was like this all the time... not the stress, but not having an appetite is kind of nice.

What are you doing that's different? Are you drinking more caffeine, or taking vitamins? Any chance of stress?

Yes! I'm stressed! Ha, funny that I'm excited about that. I'm just glad you helped me figure out what is going on. I used to eat when stressed, but since dieting maybe my mind and body are reacting differently this time.

I feel the same! I have to make sure I eat enough now and put extra things in to make up my calories! (all healthy ofcourse). But it's totally WIERD dince I've spent my life battling to stay IN my calorie range! I can't say it's not a welcome change but it sure is odd!!

I suppose it could be the fact that before, blood sugar levels were constantly spinking and dropping, now I have got all the bad stuff out my system its probably stabilising and I'm starting to feel how a normal-weight person feels about food...odd...(or maybe not since I've never really been a "normal" person around food!)

Also, as above, it could be stress since I have exams but I really don't feel like it is really. The day I decided to lost the weight something clicked in my head big-time. Anyway, only the future will tell.

I'm also in the mid-west, and there is a wicked stomach flu going around in a 4 state region right now... I didn't feel like eating for about 3 days. First 2 days, I wasn't ill, food just sounded bad. By the 3rd day, food was coming out both ends...By the 4th day I was starving. So, it could be anything.

I say enjoy the ride, because if you are anything like most of us, it's nice not to be counting down the minutes until your next meal for a few days...lol

I have been feeling the same way too. I think it's spring, my blood sugar stabilizing and me not stress eating (running helps me de-stress way better than a pint of ice cream!!!). Now, I really listen to my body and eat mini meals (1 egg or a piece of fruit) if I want to skip a meal-- so I don't crash & binge.
