Today is day 33... I can hardly believe it, honestly. I'm averaging 2 strong urges per week, but as I've said before, my mini-goal is keeping me motivated and in charge.

I'm only a week and a half from a little trip back to my husband's college town. We are going to his favorite pizza restaurant; it's a local place and he hasn't been there in 4 years. Basically, my goal is to eat pizza like everyone else - a few slices and maybe a side salad. I feel slightly conflicted as I know it's a dangerous situation, but sometimes I just want to feel normal. I have made rules: we are ordering a small pizza with no more than one topping and whatever is left doesn't get to go back to the hotel with us.

Other than that, I actually feel pretty prepared. I'm packing lots of healthy foods and snacks so that I don't have excuses to eat out multiple times.

Congrats on day 33, JustSharing, that's awesome!

I'm on Day 6. It's weird--when I don't have the urge to binge, I'm fine, I'm happy about what I"m doing, I'm confident that I can continue and that I'll lose the weight. But when I get that urge, it's like nothing in this world. Everything goes out the window, and it seems very hard to convince myself that binging is a bad idea! Such a fight!

Day 39! This is huge for me. I was tempted several times this week, but because of this group I remained strong. Thank you.

Paris, I think a lot of us go off kilter, when we start overeating. We go out of control. It's like we forget everything we've learned and don't care. I really hate that when I want to overeat, but I'm starting to realize when that happens something else is really bothering me. It's not about food at all. It's about me stuffing my feelings with food. And it could be anything that bothers me, even having a lot of pressure to finish a challenging task. It seems to be all emotional with me. When I get the urge, I ask myself, "Ok, what happened today that's making you want to blow it?" I just wanted to tell you that I totally relate.

Wow, everyone is doing so good! I wish I could say the same. I am only 2 days binge free, but it feels longer. It's a constant struggle to stay away from the peanut butter. I only gained 1.5 lbs. from my last binge thankfully, usually I gain 3 or 4 lbs. I was doing alot of yard work for hours to get cleaned up for spring( raking, lifting, bending, and walking) I think I burned alot of calories. I guess if I need to binge, it will have to be on a day that I am either house cleaning for 9 hrs. or doing yard work all day. lol

I've asked myself that question before--what is bothering me and making me want to eat--and sometimes there's an answer, but sometimes, I just want to eat and not think about it. That's when it really sneaks up on you!

Day 34 and 40 pounds lost! Yay!

I dreamed I was eating doughnuts last night. It was so real. My mother had brought over a box of Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts and each of my 4 kids had eaten half a doughnut and left the rest sitting there. At first, I was just going to have a bite of one...then I was eating all the parts they had left and reaching for a whole one from the box. I was thinking of this thread in my dream. It was crazy. It was a nightmare!

Back to reality. There will be no Krispy Kreme in my house!

i remember my ex-husband commenting "what were you eating last night" because i was clearing making food eating sounds in my sleep and yummy sounds etc... it was pretty funny. it took months before those dreams stopped... i look back now and chuckle... at the time it seemed very sad that even my subconscious was trying to eat!

Wow, I had my days mixed up, I posted day two when I was actually only day 1. This is day 2 for me, I did go over my calories today but did not binge. I'll probably gain weight anyway just from that.

is it too late to join in?

i'm a horrible night-time binge eater... sometimes i get so hungry, and i drink 2L of water but sometimes i just need food... like i don't know how to explain it.. i go to the food, say okay just this small thing with hardly any fat or calories, then i keep going back and keep going back!! i need help, and im glad i found this challenge... it would really help keep me on track!

My worst binges are often in the middle of the night. I'll wake up to go to the bathroom and stop by the fridge afterwords. I'm not even really awake and I just shovel the food in - so far that's been the hardest to stop because I'm not even fully conscious when I'm doing it - its like I'm in a trance.
