Thank you for sharing this information. I used to be so good about drinking water but I've fallen out of the habit. This is just one more bit of info to help motivate me to drink enough water.
Surprised to learn that others experience slight nausea when drinking water (diet coke doesn't do that). Also good to know that if I keep it up, that (nausea) will go away. TFS,
I've never heard of water making people sick. I know a lot of people don't "like it" but I think that's just lack of developing the habit of drinking it. Is the tap water in your area not very good? If so you can try Brita or drinking bottled water.
Thank you for sharing the article. I struggle to get enough water down, but telling myself how good it is for me does help. It feels life affirming when I log my intake online.
The only time drinking water has made me feel sick is when I drink too much too fast (ususally because I'm making a point to drink my water and I force it all down before I can forget to drink the rest). But when I keep a water bottle on my desk at work I just sip on it here and there all day. I'm always surprised by how much I end up drinking!
Thanks for the article! I drink tons and tons of water & the downside, for me, is that I cannot stop Peeing!! (TMI, sorry ;O) But it was nice to hear that that may subside later on. I work in a restaurant so going to the bathroom ever hour on the hour is not really convenient, you know?! Sooo, I cut down my water intake.
Now I think I'll suck it up and go back to drinking my tons of water. I honestly did feel way more energetic and clean ( if that makes sense). Water made a big difference in how I functioned.
Aclai - I do the same thing. I keep a 20oz bottle of water at my desk and sip and drink and refill throughout the day. I usually end up drinking 3 or 4 of them, plus a few more glasses at home.
I didn't read the entire article, but that is awesome I love water. I too, drink it as green (iced) tea, unsweetened with lemon.
I remember hearing somewhere (Dr Oz maybe?) that the first thing you should do upon waking was to drink 2 glasses of water, because your body dehydrates overnight with so many hours with no water intake.
I am going to make more of an effort with my water intake as well. At times, I feel like the water I drink is good for my digestion (I often feel dehydrated) and good for my skin, but I also at times feel uncomfortable or nauseous when I drink a lot of water at once. I think the best thing is to drink 8 oz every half-hour or hour. If I did that, i would have my 8 glasses of water in a shift.
