Veil, what a great thing to say, "yes!" to! I love reggae.
I said no to ice cream today (husband had a tonsillectomy so we have ice cream in the house) and then when I went shopping, I said no to 72% dark chocolate. I was very very close to rationalizing buying this item. On my particular diet, chocolate this dark is allowed in small quantities, but I need to break myself of this habit. What I hope is that I can do this way of eating all the way to maintenance and THEN I can switch to eating small amounts of dark chocolate for treats. For now, I need to be strict to break my mind of the craving. |
Said no to pizza for luch and ice cream for dessert. i will stick to my tuna salad(tuna straight out the can no mayo) for lunch.

I literally found a Cadbury Cream Egg sitting by my front door (I am sure it belongs to one of my 4 children) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these things. My eyes lit up, I grabbed it and started unwrapping it. But as I did I started thinking, do I really want to waste my calories on this or set myself up for failure the rest of the day.
I wrapped it back up, put it out of sight, and walked away! Whoo Hoo! |

I said NO to cheese cake last night. and creme puffs. and sugery soda... (closing party after final night in kids school play) Whew. I feel so proud this morning, even though it was just a little victory. |
I said no to doughnuts. I had a huge craving for doughnuts, or maybe pie, or maybe some kind of tarts. You know, one of those kinds of cravings where you just want some kind of dessert.
Instead, I bought a bunch of healthy protein and energy bars---they are still sweet, and help me with the whole wanting something sweet and crunchy, but I don't think they are as bad as having a slice of pie or deep fried dough. |
Said "NO" to a nice spread at a funeral... ate almonds & cranberries in the car on the way home. YAY ME!!

I said no to buying doughnuts and cheetos. I really wanted them, but hadn't tried them before and didn't want to buy something I may end up not liking.

I said "No!" to going out to eat with my family to get hamburgers and fries for dinner. I heated up some left-over chicken and noodles (with broccoli and carrots) instead, and it was delicious! And then I had a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter as a snack. :)

I said no to snacking at work when lunch for our kids arrived. I pack my own lunch and eat during my break. I avoided their food which is all ordered from companies, horribly processed and just tossed into an oven to heat. I said no to their lunch and their snack and ate my own food.

Today is my Bday & my BF made a cake for me. She didnt know I had just started my diet. Last nite after DH took me out to dinner (steak for my low carb diet) I took the cake she made me over to the neighbors (we go over there every weekend to sit by the fire pit) & gave the neighbor guy The cookies we had left from Memorial weekend & cake. My DH had a piece but I did not.

Hello Everyone, I'd like to jump in here ...
Friday said NO to fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in my sons class. Big pat on the back, I looked at them so many times I think they wanted to run. I kept thinking just one ... but I said NO Saturday said NO to cheeseburgers, fixed them for my husband, oh my goodness, the smell drove me crazy. Said NO to pizza, kids have to have it and boy did I want it. Today tried to say NO to fried chicken and sweet peas. I only ate a pinky finger size piece of the chicken and a teaspoon of peas. Peas aren't bad for me I know but the way I fix them makes them taste like candy. thanks for this thread. |
Yesterday, I said no to fast food. I was getting a bit hungry and just as a habit, I got in line and ordered a burger from burger king. then I remembered that i was trying to avoid beef, so I got out of line. I am sure the guy at the drive-thru was wondering where I went.
Today, I avoided buying a bagel. I wanted one, but i is a huge, massive, carb ball and might make me hungry later on in the day. too many carbs at once, I felt. So, I got a smaller snack instead. Yay!!! :) |

I needed to say NO to snacking today. I had a mid morning snack withdrawal, had 12 baked lays, 5 honey wheat pretzels, 20 reg pretzels, a rice cake and 15 grapes all before lunch. :( But I did cut a few things from lunch to help weigh things out. :) I'll do better tomorrow.

I said no to the cheesy pasta that was screaming my name from the mini fridge at work. Instead I went with lentil soup and low fat yogurt for dessert! mmm!!!

Said No last night to = McDonald's fries, my daughter got in the car with them. I thought I was gonna lose it. Of course with her little 120lb self she said, "Want some Mom" and grinned. Kids I'll tell ya, you gotta love 'em. :)

I almost lost a little control today, but I didnt over eat, I just ate a little faster than I have the past couple of days. Just came in from a 1.5 hour walk and I don't have the desire to eat anymore like I did when I was forcing myself off the couch and out the door! |
Last night I was alone at home (bf was working), I cooked a pizza and said no to eating the whole thing, even tho it was a small one.

Hubby got Supreme Pizza! I only ate 1 Piece! Made me a Brocolli Cole Slaw with Slivered Almonds & Pineapple to eat with it. It was Yummy & the 1 Piece satisfied my Pizza Craving! Felt Very proud afterwards! :bravo:

The kids made pizza and it smells so good, and boy did it look delicious, but I said NO. My daughter had a popcicle and said as she blew her breath in my face, "Mommy this taste like cotton candy, see" :) I wanted a bite but I said NO :)
