"Could you tell me what diets you are following..know it's probably listed somewhere and I'll just have to research more thread..any help will be greatly appreciated"
Hello Bessie Mary Alice :) I use calorie counting and try to stick to "whole" foods as much as possible - if I get near neat sugar or biscuits,chocolate and cakes it all goes wrong! I drink at least 2 litres of water a day and eat every 3 hours or so. When I am in control a typical day of food looks something like: Oatmeal or wholegrain cereal Whole grain bread with low fat cheese and carrot sticks Fruit -usually oranges Low fat yoghurt and a few nuts or seeds Lentils or beans with green veg and fish, low fat dairy or chicken. Eating regularly does help - it is when I go more than 5 hours without food that I hit the sugar and binge. Yesterday was my first binge free day for 3 days - we can do this together ladies. |

I was binge free yesterday, however I DID have ice cream b/c I saw my husband eat ice cream....weak in the will power department. Woke up early this AM to compensate...

Bessie... For me it's just healthy eating and portion control. YOur SIL will lose alot on Dr. Atkins...but you should research how MANY people gain it ALL plus MORE back!! over 90%!!!!!! You stick with a good healthy daily plan and you will do fine. SLow and Steady wins the Race! |
I was binge-free yesterday, but it was a difficult day. I was hungry all day! Or so I thought...
I'm beginning to see how compulsive I am about food. My body was hurting yesterday, and I seemed to feel like I needed to eat to feel better!:?: But with clinched fists I was able to stay within my food guidelines. To answer the question about what diets we're doing--- I have a portion controlled plan my doctor gave me, incorporating foods from the food groups. No sugar. Lots of veggies and fruit. It's a stormy day, and it's my volunteer day at the food kitchen. (See, everything I do seems to be centered around food.:D) Spicy |

This is part way through binge-free day 4. Feeling good. Decided to have a low fat breakfast thing and a sandwich for lunch - its a treat and I decided thursdays good for that. So far it hasn't caused me to binge. Whoopee. Have a great night! |
Hey great motivation here to stay as strong as the rest of you!
Congratulations to those who had to dig deep into their will power reserves. A day of eating totally on plan for me yesterday. I have failed in the past by going too low on fat as well as calories which starts a cycle of starving for 4 days and bingeing for 24 hours so I am having one high fat piece of shortbread a day at 65 cals, eating it slowly as a treat and it worked to keep me on plan - better than the 65 calorie low fat yoghurt I normally have. Stay Strong ,best wishes to all. |

i went awol after taking a last minute trip to Milan....I'm still binge free :) so I'm pretty happy. I was having food shoved in my face all the time but I haven't given in. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the week. xx |

Good Morning Chickies..
Started off the day with 32oz of water and toast and eggs. Peach is next! Spicy.. When I am in pain, I tend to want to eat also. I think it's a taught thing... when we are little and sick... our moms gave us food. Ice cream, jello, hot chocolate...whatever made us "feel better". Hope you did well at the food kitchen! IntheMidst.. Wednesdays are my Treat days. That's usually when I will make a small dessert and share it during tea with my friends. Good job on being Binge Free!! 4dreams.. I ate well yesterday but low, low, fat. And still found myself starving. So I had some toast with margarine on it and was fine. It's amazing how important fat is in the diet! This weekend is going to be hard. I have an all day meeting with my agent, publisher, and a marketing guy... so that means eating out... eating junk... these guys always eat BIG... but I will try REALLLLYYYYYY hard to be good!!! |
PHEW I got through the day B free. I feel I can safely say that now....only thing I will be getting out of the kitchen tonight is herbal tea.

Hi ladies - so much inspiration and support here. I live alone and none of my family and friends suspect I have a problem. Alone I am weak, you make me stronger and want to not let the team down - so another clear day for my yesterday. I am thinking in terms of "just doing 2 days of planned eating" and then,the next 2,then the next until l have a chain of binge free days I can string together.
DogNomNP I LOVE the idea of "B Free" - to be free from burying ourselves in food on the days when it all goes wrong is what we are striving for. Best wishes to all. |
