Congratulations!!! It feels good doesn't it? I've got about a month and a half under my belt, (well only a month really on Atkins), and I'm down 18 pounds total! You are right it does slow down. For me it even always seems to go up for a day or two for no apparent reason, but by hanging in there it starts back down again soon enough. Right now it is just this slow consistent drop. I'll see a new number, and then will have to wait a few days for that number to really settle in and be there all the time, and then I will start to see a new lower number, and same thing. It is kind of fun anticipating what is coming next.

Well I agree about the "tease" I count it as soon as I see it though. Like someone once said to me (and I liked it) "It's there I see it, I claim it as MINE!" Because really your body couldn't register it if it wasn't yours. Anything on top of the lowest you've seen is probably food or water that hasn't left your body yet, and that's not YOU. At least that is how I look at it. But when it settles in for good, that's when I really believe in it. Even then it can go away if I eat too much salt or retain too much water or go off the diet and begin gaining back the water that is the initial weight loss of this WOL.
