Default Just Starting Out, Advice Needed

I am just starting on Atkins so I was wondering what people would think of my induction phase.

Today I will eat:
one slice low-carb bread
one tsp. butter
one oz cheddar cheese

two hard boiled eggs

chicken breast
two cups romaine lettuce
one-third cup feta cheese

one advantage bar

two baked hamburger patties
celery

Let me know

Sounds good. If you find you are not losing any weight though, or not as much as expected, cut out the bread. I did the bread for a while and found that it hindered weight loss for me. Also only 3-4 oz of cheese now . Last year when i started it was like unlimited cheese..... (which i lost weight just fine on). I also found that caffine was not a problem for me. I used to dress up my burger pattys with cheddar cheese and bacon strips with low carb bbq sauce and mayo... really rich and yummy! Hope it helped!

personally Id leave the advantage bar and bread out. But thats because I have problems with them. Other than that, Id add more veggies. Your allowed 20 carbs, try to get as many of them in veggies as you can. Looks good tho

If you're doing true Atkins induction then LC bread and the advantage bars aren't on the allowed list. But if it's a choice between going w/out eating and having the bread/bars then as long as you're losing weight I say go for it. Make it personable and work for you!!

True - It has to be a way of eating that is do-able for you and something you can stick to. But I agree - it is better to eat the LC prefab stuff than junk and just not eating enough food can do you in too.

I think you need to add some more veggies and maybe a salad with that dinner but then that is just me.

Ditto's stay away from the frankenfoods and you'll do better. Breads and bars can be tricky.

Good luck !!
