Well, oldest had GS last night. She (at least for now) has decided to stay in it. Until next week. Or until her mood changes (again). lol. I wasn't OP at ALL yesterday. I won't go into details--let's just say my urge for chili and caramel apples is satisfied. Should I mention I could have done w/out the caramel for all the good it was? I could barely taste it And I had the container of caramel that I was dipping the apple into--so it was my own fault. lol.
So it's back to day 1 of OP~~
Oh Brenda, my intentions to be good this weekend were there too. OY! Well we can start AGAIN today, Thank God !! Glad you got the chili and apples out of your system.
Nothing much happening here, sosdd. I was tempted to call in sick today but then thought, nah, I better not, well not until the week of the 18th when everyone is in florida LOL
Brenda: The chili wasn't so bad but those caramel apples!
Leenie: I wasn't very good myself this weekend and I am started all over again too. *sigh* What a vicious cycle. I have tuna for lunch today too!!!! And no low carb bread this time either
I need to get this tired old butt into gear ladies. I want to be down another 5+ by the holidays. I should be able to do more than that but I know me and know it won't happen. So 5 is attainable. This means I need to get down to some serious work. I wish I didn't but I do........
I have a physical on Wednesday and I am hoping the doctor isn't an Atkins hater.
Well, I need to get to work.....I will check in later.
Arglylllll....Bargylllllll....Im just now waking up from a horrible 4 day....lord I dont know what to call it
Brenda: Back to the salt mines with me lady!
Leenie:......same for you!
Jane: Third times a charm!
well, it all started on thursday night....I was leaving the fair after being good all night! ( one light beer) and then I saw the caramel korn and it was all over- ate a whole bag....woke up friday with a sore throat and stuffed up, went to work, then got sick and got a sub....stayed in bed all day and only realized after the 3rd dose of nyquil how much sugar is in that stuff....that day ruined...so I ate some low carb peanut butter.....went to the beach the next day....pretty ok OP until dinner- had fajitas in Carmel ( no tortillas) but also had 3 martinis....ate a low carb candy bar back at the hotel...woke up sunday, went to Chambria and had ribs ( no BBQ sauce) and 3 french fries......ready to get back OP and feel better!
Gotta tell you guys this. I just came back from a 40 minute walk in the plant, so I'm figuring it was about 1 mile. As I'm walkling w/my friend Jackie we see what looked like a giant roach in the middle of the road (yes they have them here in the old buildings, not in mine thank GOD), anyway, as we got closer to it, it stood on its hind legs/tail and was snapping its claws.
It was a huge crawfish, I was like eeeeeeew, and walked around it and Jackie was like OMG LOOK !!! its a LOBSTER haaaaaaaaaa !! she picks it up and brings it to a stream that runs thru the plant, which wasn't far from where we found him. How funny & gross is that. Made us chuckle.
Jane, thats exactly what I said, we figured hmmm a fluke, but there were a couple of his cousins smooshed in the road, so there must be alot of them. Bet they were migrating or something like that. Aren't they salt water? My friend said they were Rock Crawfish ????????? what ever the **** that is.
Actually its New York, but still, you could spit and hit NJ. Anyway I was just informed that they are fresh water. Still, they look like giant bugs and gross me out lol.
Still they had to travel an awful long way to hit that part of NY! Boy they must have been tired...maybe the ones on the road committed crawfish suicide!
Leenie: better you than me w/the tuna fish (don't like it) . Crawfish? We've got them here. Along w/other creatures.
Jane: Good luck w/the 5 pounds...I'm rooting for ya!!
Marie: Glad you're feeling better!!!
Just got back from tromping through the woods w/DH....*note to self...next time wear TENNIS shoes not clogs I'm getting hungry for apples w/dip. Ok. actually, I'm hungry for chocolate! ARGH!!
Marie, my dd has no fear of water, and we have a river at the end of our street. So I tell her that she best not ever swim or go near the river b/c there is crabs and lobsters in it (hey yah gotta do what works) and they will bite her like crazy. I guess I was telling the truth the entire time and never knew it LOL!
HI All, I'm doing good I'm late to post, but have a goal to not stop posting here to stay OP
Brenda, I was in Camp Fire Girls and when I got to high school, I thought it was uncool to be a member of that, so I quit. I've always regreted I did and especially for that reason. I wish I had been encouraged to stick it out (blaming it on mom here-kidding). But when I hear GS, I think COOKIES!!! Our doctor's office sells them in the corner of the glassed in receptionist area. The only thing that has stopped me from forking over $4.00 is the fact that I would have to buy them and carry them into my appointment with my orthopeadic surgeon. I can hear the lecture I'd get on how the weight is bad for my back. I still drool as I stare at them.
Leenie, how hilarious about the "lobster"! I don't think I would have put him in the stream, but a pot!! ...and zero carbs Too funny!!! Maybe it crawled out of someone's office or home aquarium. I had a little crab with one giant claw in my aquarium, mainly to get over the fear of having creepie things around. He was always crawling out during the night. I'd get up to turn on the coffee and there he'd be, standing, clicking his claw at me in the middle of the kitchen. I don't keep them anymore.
Jane, I know you can go the five pounds!
Marie, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better from that crud.
