Good Morning!!

I have been off on surgery leave for a little over two weeks and am just starting to come back around.

Things have been crazy, but I'm happy to report that I've been able to maintain. I am a bit disappointed about missing my exercise, because I was just starting to get back into a routine. But at my follow up with the doctor yesterday he said I could start back to walking and light jogging. So, I plan on doing that today.

The children started back to school last Wed and I've enjoyed being home and not at work both when the leave for school and when they return. I'm not going to want to go back to work!!

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to be around quite a bit more!!

Lori: Surgery??? Did I miss something? Glad you are doing well. It has been so quiet around here lately.

Wasn't as good as I could have been yesterday but no regrets.....went out to dinner with a friend last night....too much wine I have an appt with an allergist today.....dreading the scratch tests.

Can't wait to get my bike tomorrow....I will be riding all weekend I hope.

Going to go fill my water bottle.............................

Lori: Yup, I missed the info about the surgery as well. Hope all is getting better!

Jane: Glad you ahd fun and let us know how the bike riding is

Well, Sorry to be posting just a short message. But I was waiting outside for like 25 minutes for oldest DD's bus (the one she missed yesterday) and that's cuz it came 20 minutes AFTER the bus garage guy said it would. So I've got to rush through breakfast and get to work. I've gotta leave early cuz I gotta get to the bank and then take the cats to the vet. Boy is DH complaining about that. But I told him it's what we did for the dog--the only difference is there's TWO cats. Hopefully I can post more later!

Lori: Glad that you are back! Didn't know that you were having surgery, but glad that it went well! Take care of yourself!

Jane: A little wine never hurt anyone Good luck at the doctor's today. Let us know how it goes!!!

Well, nothing much here this morning. It's my day off thank goodness! Nothing major planned, just some light house cleaning, and going out to dinner with my best friend tonight. The countdown is on!!! Only one more week til hopefully we will find out the sex of the baby! I'm getting excited now! Being able to eat and not get sick is really making me start to enjoy this pregnancy! My brother told me the other day...Hey...you are looking pregnant!! I told him geez....thanks! Starting to show now, and nothing fits except the stretch and sweat pants. Think I'll do a little shopping for me tonight! Well, hope everyone has a great day! I'll check in a little later!

Good morning chickies!!!

LOri-great to hear from you, and I must have missed the Surgery too, what happened??

Jane- good luck at your allergy appt!!!

Well I did good yesterday, I was OP and I went to the gym and logged 7 miles! I felt really good to get back to the gym.

I have a weird question....just trying to get a different prespective...let me know what you think. OK I go to the gym and I like to go to the gym and I have a routine and i actually don't like to talk cause I get totally into it. Well there is a mom that comes there and she has a son, the son is disabled he can't speak and I think might have Cerebal Palsy (although he walks and moves around pretty good. So I am not sure it is that) His mom does a aerobic class and it is in the next room, well he comes in the womans work out room while she is in there. Which I don't care that he is in the work out room and he is a guy, it is more the issue that ......
1. No one is watching him around heavy equipment, although he does pretty good.
2. He bothers people when they are working out, no one is mean to him or anything but he wants help and he wants someone to go on the machines with him and he stops people from their work out, yesterday it was me. Any machine I was on he decided that he wanted to use it and was motioning for me to get off the machine and then i would and I would help him and then try to move on, then he would come to the next machine I was at. So I ended up stopping my workout about 20 minutes early cause I wasn't getting anything done.

So my question is this I don't want to complain but I was thinking:

A) should I just keep letting it go on and for go my workouts?? Since now if i am at the gym and he sees me it is me that he bothers cause I am always friendly to him.

Or

B) Should I just call the gym and mention it so maybe they can talk to his mom and he can stay with her in the aerobics class which is what I think he is supposed to be doing anyway??

Theo'sgirl: OH TOUGH ONE! So, his mother isn't in the room so you can't speak to her yourself right? Well, if you can't then I think I would mention it to the staff....let them handle it. You shouldn't have to cut your workout short.

Yeah his mom is in the other room, but even when she isn't she doesn't stop him from what he is doing. I kept on trying to work out but it wasn't working since he stops every machine I am on. I feel bad cause I know his mom probably needs a break and she is trying to work out too, I just don't thnk it is the best enviornment for him to be un-supervised.

Lori: Welcome back! I'm glad you are recovering.

Jane: Hope the allergy tests go well.

Brenda: You sure are busy lately!

Lisa: Oooh! I love shopping, too! Have fun on your day off.

TG: I think I would definitely tell the staff. The situation is interrupting your workout and enjoyment there. It would be for the boy's safety, too.

Well, I am back from a very quick trip to Georgia for the peanut tour. It was fun, but we didn't stay nearly long enough! I did pretty well with my eating. A group from work went out to dinner on Tuesday night. I ordered what I thought was a Cesear salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp turned out to be fried! Only in Southern Georgia... Anyway, I made sure to get some walking in that night in the fitness room (something I usually never do). Then, I ended up eating some chicken enchiladas last night because I was desperately hungry, but the tortillas was the only off-plan thing, so I don't feel too bad. Trips are usually much, much worse, so I am pretty happy.

Oh, it made me so mad! There was a very uneducated chef that spoke during some presentations at the tour. He said that peanuts and peanut butter were in trouble because of the low-carb "craze." He said, according to Atkins, you were only able to have 8 carbs a day!! So, since he said that 2 tablespoons of peanut butter had 7 carbs (not my peanut butter), peanut butter was out of the question. He called peanuts and peanut butter low-carb unfriendly. The funny thing is, peanut organizations (who obviously know a lot more than he does) have been touting the low-carb benefits of peanuts. How can someone like that be so uneducated, and speak to a large group of people, acting like he knows what's right?

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Take care,
Jina
