  • Hi all! Hope everyone is having a good day!

TG: That's such a tough spot. I would feel sorry for the Mom too, because I'm sure she's really needing a break. However, I think if she's a responsible mother, she'd want to know what her child was up to, and would want to tone down any behavior that was disruptive. I would, at least. I would say something to the staff and have them ask her to work with him. Maybe she could have her workout and then help her son with his. Hard to tell if even that would work though. I wonder how old he is developmentally. Sounds like you've been a really good sport through it all though.

Now, I have a question for all of you...

So, I was looking in the mirror the other day at my rear. And, it was really the first time I've REALLY looked at it since the whole weight loss experience began. And, I was noticing that I have quite a bit of cellulite back there. So, I was wondering if any of you have noticed any reduction of cellulite (if you have/had any) after you lost weight? I still have about 40 more lbs to go and am hoping the ugly cellulite will go with it. Any experience you could share would be greatly appreciated....
  • LOVE2C135: I have found after more than a few attempts to lose weight that the cellulite shows up more as I lose the weight. Must be because of the shifting going on. I think you are either prone to it or not...I have even seen skinny girls with it. I would imagine that it would get somewhat better though.

Here is a picture for you.....my DH has a smaller better shaped butt than me! How is that for a kick in the
  • Lisa: I can't wait to find out what sex your baby is either. And the ultra sounds nowadays are SOO much better than when I had ones for my girls (oldest is 12 and youngest is 9). Exciting times, eh?

TG: I would definitely speak to the people that work there rather than talk to the mom yourself. They need to know what's going on. And it's not fair to spoil YOUR workout.

Jina: Wow. That person sure didn't know what he was talking about did he? Just goes to show some people STILL aren't up-to-date on what low carb is!! Glad you had fun on the tour though

    Leenie:

Kerri: That's just one reason I never look at myself in the mirror I'm usually afraid of what I'll see. Not sure how to get rid of cellulite. Isn't that the type of thing that you either have it or you don't. It comes or goes?

Well, the kittens have grown (of course). Their first visit they weighed 2 pounds. Now Mayla weighs 3 1/2 and Leo weighs 3 3/4. And good news!!!! I got to make the appointment to "fix" them and declaw them at the end of this month!! No more shredding my couch! No more getting scratched! Other than that? Same old stuff. Hopefully the bus fiasco will be fixed tomorrow. Oh, I go tomorrow at noon to finish off my root canal and tomorrow night is my first night bowling (yeahrah). lol
  • Thanks for the advice ladies,if it happens again I will let the staff at the gym know. I totally understand and feel sorry for the mom, but then my sister said "hey you pay for that service and you have your kids in the daycare there and pay for that too!" So maybe she should put in him in the daycare, so he is supervised. I think developmentally he can't be more than 10 yrs old.

Not sure about the cellulite q's I try no to look at my hiney!! ahahaha
  • TG: Good luck w/the workouts. Hope everything...um..well....works out
  • Kerri: I just had that frightening experience myself. I was at a hotel that had full-length mirrors, and I made the mistake of looking back at that scary region. I'm sure hoping it goes away! I have about 30 more pounds to lose, so I hoping the cellulite will be part of that 30 pounds. If not, I don't know what to do.
  • Grrr. I was hoping for some good news. Lipo may be the only solution. I'm a little to skittish of that though. It looks so violent.
  • In on a quick fly-by! My contract ended on Tuesday so I'm now mired in super deep cleaning my entire house. Every cupboard, closet, shelf, and drawer is getting cleaned out, wiped down, and re-organized. Goodwill is going to love me!

But I wanted you to know I'm still alive and trying to pop in.

Kerri - It does go away! But you have to excercise and work that bugger! It's the muscle tone that really helps. Since one of my goals has been to have a thong-worthy tush, I've been paying attention It's almost completely gone!
  • Wahoo! Thanks Star! I do so want a thong-worthy rear! I'm hoping that if I keep up the running it will fade. Running has definitely helped my stomach - tons, so we'll see if it does the same with the other side.

    Thanks for the input!
