Unhappy Ewwwwwww

Did any one else have an oil problem?

It seems like since I started back on this WOE I have had really oily skin. Not just my face, but everywhere, arms, shoulders, chest....places it wouldn't normally be oily.

I am drinking over 64oz of water a day so I am wondering if that and these healthier foods are causing toxins and what not to flush out of my system and they are coming out in the form of oil?

I started taking that fish/borage/flaxseed oil capsule (1 pill combo.) but I don't remember it making my skin oily.

Anyone else had anything like this? Do you know about how long it should last?

Any info would be great

Question

Gosh Cinnymamma, I don't know what to tell ya!! That is an odd thing to have happen. If anything I am the exact opposite with very dry skin.
I drink about 140oz of water a day w/out fail and I take all my supplements dutifully--and nothing has helped me.

I sure do hope someone can come along and fill us in to your dilemma. I've never heard of this happening to anyone on this woe. Usually it's people saying how wonderfully glowing their skin is. Hhhhmmmmmm....

Cinnymamma: Never heard of that one.....my skin is usually very dry and I admit it hasn't been since I started this WOE. I have eczema on my face and even that hasn't been too much of a problem never put the two together.

Check out the Atkins web site and see if that is on there anywhere.

azmomma: WOW that is a lot of water.....make sure you don't drink too much or you are just flushing EVERYTHING out of your system including your supplements.

I'm trying to remember if I had oily skin or just smelly armpits. I think only the smelly pits. But I DO remember washing my face a lot. So maybe it became oily also. But not the rest of me. Sorry I can't help. Have you tried emailing Atkins support and seeing what they had to say about it? They're the ones that explained to me why my pits were smelly (I know I'd rather have copper breath than smelly pits!!)

Well I emailed the Atkins site.....so I will let ya know what they say. I figure if it doesn't go away in a week or two, then I will eliminate the oil capsule and see if that is the cause......depending on what info I get back from Atkins.

Well, no word back from the site, but I decided not to take the oils today. Waddya know, no grease ball. I guess that is it.....seems like my body just has a hard time absorbing stuff. I know if I drink coffee, I smell like it all day. It comes off my skin like garlic does to some people.

Glad you figured out what was causing the problem. Any way to take that in smaller doses?

I don't think so. Maybe if I could find it in a pill form instead of a liquid capsule, then I could cut it in half but I haven't seen that yet. OH well, I'll just have to get used to fish, or maybe take it every couple days or so.
