Wow, you guys have been busy this morning!!!
Don't have time for all the individuals, but glad my words were enjoyed yesterday.
Jina - glad you enjoyed my Home Improvement Diet. It was totally fun to write and I have been thinking about doing a follow-up at some point. Things have gotten a little better though dh is still unemployed and we are totally, completely broke. I didn't pay bills this month just so I could pay the mortgage next month. It really, really sucks.
Things with dh have gotten better, a little, but he is still depressed about a few things and about not having a job. I'm learning how to be more direct and making absolutely sure he understands me.
The head of it all came last week when, with no job and no money, he went and decided to get another dog. Wasted ANOTHER $25 we don't have and then chose to tell me at the grocery store where I was trying to make $15 go as far as I could. I just broke down, completely, in the frozen foods aisle and he realized that he really just didn't "get it." After several long, late-night conversations, he is starting to "get it" but won't really be there for a while. I have to lower my expectations a bit.
On the upside, I am going to be on vacation next week (which also means no internet access - unless we get the computer hooked up) and I will have lots of time with my wonderful dd and time to get things done around the house.
Glad to hear about Mrs. H's (the other Lisa) pregnancy. Yep, it totally saps your strength!! I remember - my friends were soooo worried about me and wondered if something was wrong. Then she got pg and was experiencing the same thing and finally understood just how tired it really does make you to be pg.
Star! Babysitting is enough b/c for me. LOL!! Of course, now that I have a 2yo toddler, I can't imagine life without her. You'd adjust - but those trips to the bar would have to end.
