Happy Tuesday Everyone,
Why is it happy? Well because we are one step closer to the weekend
Not much happening in my little corner of the world, rain rain and more rain. It is actually half way decent outside right now so I want to take advantage of it and go for a walk before my day continues. Today I have gone back to strict induction and there will be no more cheats. I've caught myself slipping more and more and it HAS to stop. I will make my end of may goal! And I have a feeling tomorrow that scale isn't going to show much improvement if any. I've been hovering and losing extremely slowly lately, but I can tell big changes in my clothes, so maybe one of these days I'll be surprised with a woooooooosh. *crosses her fingers*

Shimma - I hate road work, last year they tore up all the roads going east/west bound. Detours everywhere that lead you nowhere. It was insane! I'm so happy they haven't started this year (yet). Hope your engine light is nothing big. I had a car where it would come on every year about the same time and then shut off in a week or two. When I finally took it in it was a built in maintenance timer, just time to take it in for a check up but nothing was ever wrong with it. That drove me nuts as well. I guess I'm just a tad unstable at times

Karen - Happy to see you! How is the job holding up for you? Busy busy busy! It sounds like the running is really working out for you.. Great job!

Brenda - Hope you have a great time on the fieldtrip.. where are you all heading?

MrsH - I'm just getting over a cold myself, that bugger kicked my butt for nearly 3 weeks. I surely hope yours goes away faster then mine. I still have a little cough but nothing compared to what it was.

Theo - Give it to him good! The making up part is always fun

Jane - I know what you mean about that cheese and nuts. They are my downfall on most days as well. At least you've gotten yourself back on track.. Good Job!

Star - Such a busy day for such a tired girl. Glad to hear your all caught up with your sleep now. It sure does make a difference in how you feel.

to everyone I've missed and to all who post after. I'm off to go on my walk and get rained on half way home (thats just the way my luck runs) but at least I will get my exercise in. Have a great evening everyone.

Hi all!

I've been doing battle with a prairie dog all day. One of my students brought it in, her grandmother has a few and it had babies. This one is about 4 months old. Now, I would totally adopt it if the darn thing would let me touch it!!! It finally came out of its cage then fell off the lab table and I've been trying to get it back in the cage forever now! Ugh! And it's sooooooooo cute. I LOVE critters!

As for the car, my BF is a GM certified mechanic so it'll cost me pennies compared to what normal people would have to pay, but I know it could still be something big and cost me a bundle. GRRRRR.

Barbie: good to see you!
Karen: Good to see you too!

Gotta run.

Busy day...haven't had much time to check in.

Shimma: First a Guinea Pig and now a Prairie Dog! Good luck with the car.

Trazzie: Fingers crossed for you! I know I am not going to make my End of May challenge. Oh well, it was a good idea anyway

Barbie101 and Marie:

Morti: I love FitDay. I have the pc version and use it almost everyday. It really makes you aware of so many things....Nutrients etc.

Star: You were a busy girl for someone with very little sleep!

Karen: So good to hear from you. Congrats on the running and your continued loss!

Lisa: Glad you feel better today.

TG: Oh I would have killed my husband if he did that! You are a patient woman. Sorry you don't feel well.

to anyone I missed. Got to go and make some more calls before I leave today. Check in with you all tomorrow.

Hi all:

I've been out of touch for so long that I can't remember where I left off with my continuing saga......

I'm doing well, having survived the tragic death of some friends of ours back east. Traveling to the funeral and seeing everyone again really helped a lot.

The meds I'm now on are really causing some extreme bloating and swelling. (I can't bear to think what I'd look like now if I hadn't lost that weight.) But it's worth it, because these little suckers just may be what stands between me and more surgery!

My family doctor is now totally against my staying on Atkins, but the oncologist seems to think "no harm done." He's suggested that if I'm happy I should keep with it, as long as my blood work stays within acceptable limits.

Think positive thoughts for me, chickies.

Spedmom--glad you have a doc that's supportive!!

I've been on program (except the Atkins bar at lunch). I also traipsed around the hill for 4 hours. Oh man am I stiff!! I thought I was in halfway decent shape but that hill kicked my butt. I should go there a couple times a week and hike cuz I sure did get a workout. I'm hoping the scale shows those results because I sure would like to hit the end of May goal. Then I could work on other goals. lol. I'm tired, headachy and sore, so it's off to bed I go. But it was a blast!!!
