Default Friday 4/16

Goooodddd Morning people!!! It's finally Friday, sunny and going to be a gorgeous day!!!!! Yes, I'm still worried about my FIL, but I'm sticking it on the back burner til I get more info (and trying not to think about it much helps). So I'm going to be selfish and concentrate on this gorgeous (Did I mention that already?? It's supposed to be in the 70's today! HEAT WAVE!!!!). Bad news is I have to go to work. Good news is--I only work part-time so I'm done at noon!!! I'll end up pooper scooping after work I'm sure but what a GORGEOUS day to do it!
So you all have a GORGEOUS day and talk to you later

Good Morning Brenda and all to come

Thoughts and prayers for your FIL Brenda. Enjoy the day, its beautiful here too!! Im going to go and open up some curtains and enjoy the first coffee of the day!!

Plans for this weekend have changed. Mom was suppose to come and help with the redecorating of my kitchen, but dad is a bit too tired to do the drive. So, Im on my own. Have most of the wall paper off, and luckily I didnt find anymore surprises!! So it should be smooth sailing once I get everything patched up and sanded down.

Im still on induction, and feeling alot better. You'd think Id remember this feeling when I was eating all that crap!! With all this sunshine today, I may just get out and get some exercise in!

Have a good one
Robin

Good Morning To You and You and You and You and YOU!

Brenda its supposed to be beautiful here too, allllllllll weekend, I'm so happy.

Robin enjoy redecorating your kitchen.

Not much planned for the weekend, but I must plan something for next week's dinners, not having stuff planned is a BAD thing in my house b/c we just grab anything (low carb of course) but even so, its not good. So Sunday I will be cooking

I would love to go to the beach today/tomorrow but it will be to cold so I guess I'll just have to wait

HUGS !!!!

Morning All....

I just woke up... it's nice to sleep in!!!! I'm debating on trekking out to walmart or just waiting and going with my bf when he gets home this afternoon. I'm totally not thinking about my test AT ALL. Since I didn't get IMMEDIATELY accepted into nursing school I kind of just decided to move on to something else.... which means I really don't need my CNA... although it will make for a nice part time or summer job. However, since I'm not above working at Target.... I can always get a job somewhere. So I'm really not that worried about this test.

Brenda: I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL, hang in there. One thing I learned when dealing with my grandmother's cancer is that it doesn't do any good to worry until you know EXACTLY what it is and how bad and what the options are. Until then, worrying will only bring you down.... so I think you're doing good today with putting it out of your mind. Just know that I'm thinking of you and praying for your FIL and your whole family.

Robin: Good luck with the kitchen. I love home improvement projects!!! I'm supposed to go and see what I can do with my BF's condo sometime. Heheheheheh, he's got money.... I'll be able to do whatever I want *insert evil laugh here* it's gonna be so much fun!!!

Leenie:

And a big hello to everyone else that passes by!

Brenda: Enjoy your gorgeous weather! I am thinking and praying for you and your FIL. Keep us updated.

Robin: I have some friends that own an old house, and they are always running into surprises like you. It always sounds like an adventure! Good luck with the kitchen.

Leenie: Enjoy the weather! I'll go to the beach for you!

Shimma: That's a good attitude! I'm with you -- I'm not above working anywhere, either. In fact, sometimes I think I'd like a job better at Target than my current one!

I'm in a good mood today, too! I'm only working a half day, so I can go to a TOPS conference. I think it will be inspiring to hear about other peoples' weight loss success, and hopefully motivate me! It's just down in Sarasota, which is a quick drive across the bridge for me, so I'm glad it's close and I'm able to go.

Other than that, I guess I don't have anything planned. I'm in the mood to go shopping, so I might hit the malls on Saturday afternoon after the conference. I'm becoming a shopping addict these days. It's bad.

I realized I haven't posted pictures. I think I said I was a long time ago! So, I'm going to work on that this weekend, too. I might just be able to post a "before" photo since I don't have any digital photos that were taken recently, but I'll work on getting a recent one, too.

Hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend!!

Take care,
Jina

Good Morning Everyone!
It's absolutely beautiful out right now but we have high wind alerts for today. I hate wind but will put up with it for the next few weeks cause it stops by the middle of May and our summers are gorgeous.
Robin, I LOVE to decorate. I have an old house and we have redone every room. I love that French country look and so I've gradually incorporated it into the kitchen and living room. I love to texture and paint!

Well, here's to Day 18 of Induction. I'm still only 5lbs. down but not going to get discouraged. I feel good, not hungry and I'm satisfied with the food. I'm not stressed on this diet for some reason. Getting enough to eat makes me "nice".

Busy weekend ahead. I have a conference on Saturday but Sunday will be a nice day off. Makes up for being gone all day Saturday, but I love these conferences....I learn so much.
Need to get off my butt today and work out! Oh, well, I need another cup of java first.
Have a great day!!!

Is it morning already?

This is one bad and therefore tired princess! DH started working graveyard as of last night and I couldn't sleep, so I ended up going over to the local pub for a quick nightcap. Somehow that led into meeting some random guy from Boston and then a trip over to a friend's house with Boston-guy and 2 other friends. The other girl who was there snuck almost half a bottle of tequila while the rest of us were talking and ended up throwing up on the floor and the host's couch. I had to call and wake her fiance up and ask him to come get her. Ugh!!! She's only 21 and hasn't learned how to maintain yet. I, on the other hand, learned to maintain too well and therefore ended up not going home until just after 4:00 this morning. Argh!!! When am I going to learn not to do that???

So here I am, a mere 3 hours of sleep. Thank god I have no meetings until after lunch! I'm going to go get a large amount of coffee and then I'll do personals.

XOXOXOXO ~Star~

Marilyn: It sounds like you're doing great -- keep it up! The weight will come off.

TG: Ooh! I recently discovered Sex and the City. I rented a series of episodes because everyone is always talking about it, and I feel left out. Now I see why they are always talking about it!! I want to rent the rest of the episodes now! And, you're right. "Unfaithful" is definitely a wild movie, but I kind of like wild.

What veggies did you put in your quiche? I need to whip one up, too!

Finally! Had to start an install at 9:30 and didn't get a chance to pop in here.

So glad it is Friday you have no idea! I am taking Monday off for the marathon....an NO I am not running in it! I so need this long weekend.

Took my mother out for dinner last night to this very fancy restaurant near my office and her home. What a nice time we had. I haven't had this nice of a time with my mother since I don't know when. We had PLENTY of issues when I was younger but since my father passed away 5 years ago we seem to do much better. I guess the little things just don't matter anymore.
The bill came to over $100 so that hurt but still it was my treat. Felt nice to do that for her.
She went home with the leftovers!

Well, I am going to have to bust butt next week for all my indiscretions this week. But, I will do it. I am not going to get on the scale either for a while. I don't want to know. I will just get back on plan and wait for my clothes to start feeling looser then I will know.
You won't believe this but I actually just bought the Atkins book. I had an old copy that I gave to a friend of mine last year and have gotten all my information either from the web site or from you all. I figured since I need to rededicate myself I should brush up and re-read the book.

Well, this post just took me forever! The phone kept ringing and I couldn't do two things at once

Brenda: I must have missed something yesterday. I am sorry to hear about your fil. I hope everything is going to be ok.

Robin: I too love to decorate. I so want to paint my master bedroom but can't seem to get my act together. Maybe you will inspire me.

Leenie: Have fun cooking this weekend. Making anything exciting?

Shimma: Did you decide to change career paths? or are you just waiting it out? I thought you were teaching too? Boy I must be losing it lately....can't seem to stay caught up on everything.

Jina: Would love to see the pictures....please post. I have been trying to get a decent picture of me taken so that I can post one but everytime I take one I HATE IT! Have a good time at the TOPS conference.

bzyathome: Congrats on making it 18 days! You are doing fine. I only lost 5 in my first couple of weeks too so don't get discouraged.

Theo'sgirl: Sounds like you had an interesting night!

Well, I am sure that since I started writing this post someone else has checked in!!!!!!

Gotta run.

Brenda: Finally got a chance to read yesterday's post. My bil was just diagnosed with prostate cancer also. It is very treatable you know. Let's hope they will both be just fine.

Jane: I don't know what I'd do w/out my book. And I can't go by my clothes because they're never loose (well, they are. But not too bad. If ya know what I mean )

Star: There's no way I could go to work on only 3 hours sleep. Heck, I can't even go to work on SIX.

TG: Your DS's weren't fit for human consumption? ok!!!

bzy: Keep up the good work. As they say, before you know it the weight will drop off!!

Jina: I can't wait to see the pictures! You must make sure to get "now" pictures taken

Shimma: Hope you enjoyed your sleep-in!! I'm sure w/your BF there this weekend you won't get much rest

Leenie: "Good Morning To You and You and You and You and YOU!" reminded me of the Sound of Music. Hope you have a great weekend

Robin: have fun decorating this weekend. We've got an old house--and I HATE the surprises we get behind the ugly paneling. I've only pulled it down in 2 rooms so far but it's enough to tell me we'll be having TONS of work yet to do. Not to mention re-storing the hardwood floors!!!

I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to me!!! I'm doing fine now--it IS for the best to put it out of my mind until I get the FULL facts. I doubt DH has been able to do that though. The pollen count is TERRIBLE in our area so I'm sure that's why my eyes are just bugging the heck out of me (and with my contacts in it's even worse). I've got wash hung on the line, the dog is chained up outside for a change, and I'm going to exercise as soon as my hiccups are gone. OH!!! And stupid TOM has hit with a vengeance now and I feel like I could eat the whole refridgerator!!!! GRRRRRR. So far I'm staying OP and Hopefully I'll stay under 20 carbs!! I'm doing my best to stay away from chocolate!! lol
