Default New and Ignorant

Hey to all! I have been battling with weight for many years. So I finally invested in a personal trainer. He put me on a low carb (20)/high protein/low fat diet. I am looking for any advice you can give me. I am not the best in the kitchen so if there are any recipe advice...I would love it. Please help me!

Is he a registered dietician? Personal trainers should not be giving diet advice. See if you can meet with an RD to get food guidance.

Low carb and low fat? So, essentially, nonstarchy vegetables, fish, lean hamburger maybe, and chicken breast?

Low carb and low fat diets don't mix. Please do some research on your own before following contrary advice like that.
