Hi kids, i'm baaaaack. Haven't been living very primal, nor very low carb. But I'd like to get back on the wagon. Luckily, my weight seems to have stabilized.
I just made Mark Sisson's bbq sauce. I'll use it up, but does anyone have another one that's a bit sweeter? I did add liquid sucralose to his, but it's still a bit tangier than I like.
Hey Brown! I haven't tried his bbq sauce but I just read on his website his book got nailed as one of the 5 unhealthiest cookbooks of the year. Y'all should go read it if you haven't yet - apparently the group giving the "award" is essentially vegan, so that makes sense.
Welcome back and I'm sure you can get back on track. Personally, I am trying to get through the holidays without too much damage!
I am also trying to recommit to watching everything very closely. I have been stuck in the low 150s for a month or more. I have been OK with this but need to kick start the losing again.
Yesterday, I ate mostly meat (one apple) and am moving in the right direction if only a few ounces.
Now this is definitely a MikkiJoe (the ex-caterer) question. I would usually just tell my DH to eat them as he has a iron stomach.
I imagine it depends on how warm your kitchen stays. Mine gets pretty cool at night.
What would Grok do? I shutter to think how he "preserved" food. I wonder when our ancestors started cooking eggs? Probably just cracked them open and swallowed raw or better yet, kept them warm until they hatched...
Went to a movie yesterday, "The Kings Speech". Very good movie. I decided a head of time that I would have buttered popcorn only when I go to the movies which happens very rarely as the movies today are usually bad and not worth paying a full ticket price for.
I was so glad I had decided because one is hit with the smell of popcorn just going in the door. I also had a diet coke which I do not allow any other time.
I ordered a large bag and could only eat half. The guy said they used real butter.
Today, I am up a few ounces and am kinda diarrheaish. Probably won't do that again as it just wasn't that good. Sounded better than it tasted.
