Cool. I will have to do some shopping soon. I normally just drink Lipton's plain decaf. It is cheaper. But I do like some of the flavored teas! I will have to look and check them out again. It has been a long while since I bought anything like that. I love sun tea too! I might have to do that too!

I wish they would make the diet coke with splenda in decaf! I can't have the regular diet pops. I can't have anything with aspertame in it. Aspertame gives me massive migraines. But I think that will be next. They are coming out with tons of stuff with splenda in it now!

I forgot to mention something on this. I had gestational diabeties while I was pregnant the last time. The doc said if I don't lose the weight I will be a full blown diabetic by the time I was 40. And 40 is not all that far away. Time flies to fast! So I have to becareful, but not obsessive so to speak.

According to my fitday journal I have been ending my days between 1200 and 1850 calories each day. It is never the same! But I think the up and down each day is helpful too.

Or green tea? We usually have a cup after supper, if my husband and I are home together. It comes in decaf too.

It might be my imagination but I think green tea helps with fluids ... maybe prevents some of the big water retention issues.

Have a peek at as many fitday journals as you can find. Unless someone eats exactly the same things everyday .... everyone's calories vary a bit. You've heard gals say that their calorie level of choice is 1400-1600 per day ... that's what they're accounting for.

I head for 1200 with wonderful intentions but if you look back you'll see I'm damned poor at it
It works anyway .... so what the heck!

I take green tea! I take them in capules though. I started taking them for other reasons "mental fatigue". I call it my happy pill. . Gives me a big boost of energy too. My mom bought them and was going to throw them away still good. I got to reading the good things that it can prevent too. So I tried it out. I also like the red clover tea..

Susan... I hear ya. I am averaging about 1500 calories a day. Not to bad I guess.

Jewelz... I have never heard of red clover tea either! How much do the grean tea pills cost? Sounds like a good energy pill that won't be harmful!

the green tea is about 90 caps for 8.99 plus tax (gnc). Other stores carry it too. Red clover isnt a weight loss pill (not that I know of) I forgot to mention that, its a nice tea to drink though. I like it. I love herbs so I drink or take a few different things. I had a herb save my life (literally). Crazy as it sounds. My doctor agree'd with me. So as you can see Im really big into the herbs.

Not actually.. Its just a herb like green tea. It takes ok. Here is a link it will explain it alittle better: http://www.healthandage.com/html/res...dCloverch.html
I think krogers should carry this.. right close by the cinnamon tea. Cinnamon is a spice.

WOW! Not only is it pretty... but it helps with asthma, skin problems and lots of other things I could use!! Amazing! I have never really done anything with herbs. I am going to have to start checking into that stuff! I saved the site so I can check into more stuff. Thanks for the link and info. I am going to look around Kroger's next time I go shopping and check things out. Thanks for the heads up!

I have to jump in here and add that herbal teas of all kinds are much better for you, and much cheaper in "tea" form rather than capsules.
It is also more enjoyable. I can get a bag of green tea bags for around $2.00-one of my favorites is green tea and mint.
When you are going for tea, you are going to get the most benefits without a doubt from the actual tea in its natural form. This also goes for buying "store bought" tea in the big gallons and such.

Aphil,

Awesome. I can't wait to get some and start drinking it! I am thinking about getting some with caffiene just because cutting the coffee will give me major headache from the caffiene withdrawel, so a little tea with caffiene may help. Do you think there is any difference between name brands and store brands for teas? I buy a lot of store brand (Kroger's) items to help save some money. I know some teas (celestial seasonings) are kind of costly.

Store brand products are usually just as good of quality. Some of the time, with anything, a different brand may use a slightly different recipe so the taste may be a bit different-but quality wise they are about the same. Expensive brands may just have more variety.
