Thank you! I really appreciate the support and advice. I felt a little hungry at night, but nothing I couldn't handle.

Hi candy,

It sounds like you are doing so much better- good for you! Cutting fat out is pretty easy once you know where it is coming from. I switched to 1% milk( can't do skim), do 3 eggs w/ only 1 yolk and low-fat cheese. I never get the full fat version of ANYTHING- really, why should I? I buy 2 creamers- fat free, and reg because they don't make a low fat version of the flavors I like, then I mix them. I always use 1/2 the amount of butter (light, of course) and in the course of the day, it really adds up. So instead of cutting things out, just get reduced fat versions and see if that helps. I don't think the sugar content in any of my low-fat food change that much.

You're doing terrific, though- keep it up.

Thanks Ilene... and you are so right on... No, I am not getting plenty of water! The last two days I have not been drinking as much as I should, and I can feel the difference. I am going to start drinking more because I know that is my problem.

Hey Tonkasmom... Thanks for the encouragement! I am going to use lowfat or fat free condiments from now on as long as it doesn't mean a large increase in sugar grams. Yesterday, I used FF Italian dressing instead of the full-fat dressing I usually use. I realize that I should not be using that many calories and fat (almost as much as a meal) for salad dressing.

Hey girls -- Funny how we all differ isn't it? I cannot stand anything fat free and I've tried them all when ''fat free'' was THE thing to do when it first came out... Didn't like a one ... I found FF cottage cheese that I like and that's it, anything else I buy regular and I still lose weight.

Hi... I had a bad day yesterday. I did not go off plan or anything, but I was emotional all day. My aunt is not doing well, and I am afraid she will pass away at any moment. My family is so upset and arguing with each other, and I just feel helpless being here in the middle of Missouri while my family is elsewhere (damn military life, love it and hate it). In case you didn't know, she has terminal lung cancer and this is all very sudden... she was just a remission not too long ago.

I only ate 1300+ calories, but most of it was at night. I ate a South Beach Diet bar too, and while it had no sugar grams, it did have sugar alcohol. Oh well. I also had a little too much fat... 38% (8% saturated).

Today I am in a better mood. I am still wishing I could hop on a plane and visit my family, but I know that I cannot do that right now.

Every other day I do cardio... Usually 40-60 minutes of cycling, elliptical, or walking. Sometimes I do a cardio class (spinning, aerobics).

I do weight training with Kettlebells 3 times per week... My husband is my personal trainer for this. Some days, I do a circuit training routine with the kettlebells lifting heavy weights, but in a circuit to boost cardio. My husband also adds bodyweight exercises like push-ups and squats.

I walk 1 mile 5-6 nights per week with my family and I take a dance class one day per week.

Wow, that sounds like some great workouts... I was just being curious
I like to run as my cardio of choice, lately, and in the summer I bike too, I love to roller blade but I haven't gone out yet this summer, I really don't know why ... Then I weight train at a gym (no trainer, unfortunately) 4-6x/week... I've been weight training for 20 years...
