First day on low cal and I gained .4, I tracked my calories carefully and I had 1093 calories yesterday. I am thinking maybe not enough? I also did about 40 minutes of aerobics yesterday. I am going to shoot for closer to between 1200-1300 calories today. Any ideas?

THanks!

I just started a new job and need to keep up my weight loss momentum! Even though the job is super relaxed, life changes are still stressful. This thread is good motivation.

gapeach, don't worry about it, it could just be water weight. You will notice a difference in a few days : )

Family reunions, picnics, birthdays, .....
It's a real test of my willpower but so far, so good. I did have a piece of mom's birthday cake, since I made it and knew it was good, but I planned for it!

So far, so good! Keep the faith everyone!

I do want to get a road bike and possibly do a race at some point. That's more of a hobby I am looking to develop when I get the money but definitely a fitness goal since I have problems running. My dh and I were just talking about road distance vs. stationary distance and if they are equivalent.
That's great! I don't know about road distance v. stationary distance. I am not super fit but have good cycling muscles from years of doing it & a stint doing spin classes, so not a beginner. I guess there must be some difference.

Only lost 1.4 lbs this week, though know exactly why. Big surprise - eating too much & exercising too little. There are many explanations for this but I won't put them down because I don't want to make excuses for myself - there really are no excuses where diet & exercise is concerned, I feel. Anyway, I am pretty proud of myself all the same, and have learnt some good lessons.

Good job so far everybody! Awesome on the willpower Celery. We can do it

I have done some reading and they say the calories counters on the machines aren't necessarily accurate but the distance should be. Regardless, improvements are improvements, no matter how you measure them.

How is everyone doing?? Sunday is my weigh in day for myself (even though I weigh everyday ) But I was 181.6 this morning!! I've decided to make my goal 175 by the end of the month instead of July 4th, I need to push myself and I think I can do this!!! I am going to up my calories this week a little (not much) just make sure I'm getting 1200 in everyday because right now I have days where I just push 1000 and I don't think that's enough.. I feel fine, I still get to the gym and get a lot of running around with the kids in but I want to be able to stay smaller!!

Doing fine here. Weighing in at 193.8 this morning. Ticking down, slowly but surely.

Had a strange thing happen. I went to the ice cream stand with a friend yesterday and intended on getting something yummy to devour. I bought a medium banana split but could only eat 1/2 of it. It was very weird for me b/c I can eat some sweets....but I guess I don't have to worry so much about it messing up my plan, at most I figured it could only be 350 cals. Next time, though I am gonna stick with a small cone like I normally do b/c there's no point in spending that much money to throw half of it away.

I actually lost 1lb in the week before TOM, so I'm down to 129 now. Yay slow progress! I haven't been running though. I had a cold all last week. I have been walking a lot and I'm about to force myself to head out for a couple of miles this afternoon.

I was thrilled with my weigh in this morning.
I had a great weekend with the family and stayed within my calorie range. This should be a busy and fun week for me.

Hope you all have a good week.

Uh oh! I am in this kinda late but I really need motivation. I would like to lose 10 pounds. 1600 calories a day and workout EVERY day. Starting for me would be the 12th but I am going to July 4th. It takes 3 weeks to make a habit.
