Well it has been a week for me. I weighed in and see I lost one pound. I was hoping for more but better than nothing right? I did start my period today so that might have something to do with it.
Yesterday was not good! We went to lunch with friends and they took us to a steak house..... I am guessing 1000 calories there 0.0 it was a late lunch so not hungry at bed time, but laid down and was hungry. So had a snack late ate night and not good one either. Oh well, lesson learned.
Monday starts my long teaching days so we will see how that goes dinner wise as I won't be home and will need to fix my meals at church.
Really wanted to get under 200lbs by my birthday in 5 weeks but that is probably to much. So we will see.
Starting a new day herein Taiwan!

*** Meals Data for 2/3/2012 ***

Breakfast

Two cups black coffee without sweetener 0 calories

Lunch

Fish fillet, battered or breaded, and fried [2 Fillet (6.4 oz)] 422 calories
Mashed potatoes, dehyd, prepared from flakes without milk, whole milk and butter added [1/2 Cup] 102 calories
Green beans, frozen, boiled [1/2 Cup] 14 calories

Dinner

Miracle Noodles Angel Hair Pasta [4 Servings (12 oz)] 0 calories
L. E. Roselli's Meatless Spaghetti Sauce Low Sodium [2 cups] 180 calories

Total 718 calories and 1456 mg sodium

I have finally managed to stop all evening snacking. Three days now without
evening snacks. I found that this was a terrific binge trigger for me. When I started snacking it led to more and more progressing rapidly from healthy snacks to lots and lots of junk food. If I don't start with a healthy snack then I don't seem to get a craving for the junk food. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

I totally understand about the snacks. I stopped buying them and stopped eating all of the cookies and other yummy snacks. I could tell a difference in my body.

Where did you find that noodle pasta angel hair worth ZERO calories? That is awesome. I would love to buy some. That is a great food find.

Keep up the good work.

You can find Miracle Noodles along with a full description at:

http://www.miraclenoodle.com/?gclid=...FQhgTAoda3mX5w

They also are available on Amazon.com just search for "Miracle Noodles"
I found these after my friends on 3FC recommended them highly. They have no flavor of their own but rather they absorb the flavor of whatever food they are cooked with. With 0 calories and 0 carbs, you have to love them.

Today was weird! I finished with 1396 and even had McDonalds! I had a local chive pancake and tea for breakfast, then made a spinach/banana/ papaya smoothie for lunch and it make alot, but it was only like 175 calories! Had yogurt and for a snack had 12plum tomatoes. So..... That was it for today. Sunday we will see what is in store!! Got all my water intake too.
Do you all take any vitamins? I just take vitamin C and probiotics at night.

I have been feeling pretty good and all lately. I am going to give it one more week then start exercising..... Maybe!!

Welcome, Larry, and way to go on the non-snacking! That is always one of my downfalls.

I bought some miracle noodles through netrition.com, but I haven't used them because I'm afraid of them! LOL. I'll probably have to throw them out, because I've had them a while now. I might try buying them again, and be a little braver.

Ate 88 more calories than I burned yesterday, but hit 130 this morning! Wow, I might see the 120s pretty soon! My goal is to be in the mid-120s on a regular basis, and never go above 134. But I'm not in a hurry to get there, so it's happening faster than I would expect!

Today, Saturday:
5:30 breakfast: NS cereal, skim milk, Morningstar patty, orange: 306

Total so far: 306

Hi Larry and Lisa. Welcome!

Pan - congrats on the loss. Hey, a lb. is a lb. and it all adds up in the long run. Keep up the good work!

Larry and K9 -- thank you so much for posting about those noodles. I think I'm going to give them a try. Do you know if they are only sold on the internet or would local grocery stores carry them? I've never heard of them (Larry, when I saw you ate 12oz of noodles but didn't put any calories down I thought it was a typo) but love the idea of no cals, no carbs, lots of fiber. K9, the recipes you posted . . oh YUM!! Def gonna try these.

Welp as suspected the scale remained the same for this week. Although I stayed w/in my cal range and exercised I ate too many 'starchy/carby' foods (pasta, spanish rice, frozen meals, goldfish), didn't drink enough water and yeah, that'll do it. Makes me want to try those noodles even more.

--------------------
b: picante/mushroom omelet (no cheese), coffee, banana w/p. butter - 450
l: one small, small piece of choc cake - 200 (yeah, I know!)
d: grilled burger, small bagel, 1 serving doritos - 600
s: 1 serving pretzels - 110

Total: approx. 1400

The only thing that I take is Green Tea Extracts pills. No other vitamins.

I forgot to respond about the vitamins! I have been a very regular vitamin-taker, along with 3 calcium+D pills per day. But when I started my weight loss program, I found that I didn't have enough food in my stomach to counteract the queasiness the vitamins gave me. So I kind of stopped taking them. I need to start again, because I had bone density screenings both before and after I was taking all that calcium -- three years apart -- and it showed a measurable difference in my bone density. So I know that the calcium, at least, has done some good. It's really important to keep your bones healthy if you want to live a long time. (Exercise is a key part of that, and I need to do more of that, too!)

2:00 snack: Greek yogurt, frozen sour cherries, 9 almonds: 227

Total so far: 901

What's the best calcium pill to take? Or does it make a difference?

I'm not entirely sure... I think I researched it at one time, and I don't remember what I found out, but I always buy the Walgreens (or other store) brand that is comparable to Caltrate 600+D.

Every year when I go to my ob-gyn for my checkup, she asks if I'm taking calcium supplements. So I figured it must be important. Also, I had a stress fracture and the bone density screening said I was on the verge of bone loss, so I started taking 3/day almost religiously! 3 or 4 years later, I had the same test and it was better! (They did point out that bone density is not necessarily the same as bone quality. But I'll take it!)
