I won't have time to weigh myself tomorrow and plus I won't be around a scale so I'm going to make today my last day on the challenge. I will do well the rest of the day and will try my best tomorrow! But, I'm ending 262, so a loss of 9 pounds on this challenge. Not what I wanted, but definitely a positive since I was able to finally stick to a challenge and see it through, unlike all the other past challenges in the last few months. I'm at half of where I wanted to be, but I'll take it. Well I have a TON of things to do before tomorrow, like I'm sure most of you do! It's my first time cooking the Thanksgiving dinner!! Excited and nervous at the same time!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy the day and the time with your family/friends, be thankful for every little thing we have in our lives, and I will see you all the day after to start the next challenge!!!!!
Farn: Great job on the 9 lbs and even more importantly, sticking to the whole challenge! You are re-developing your good habits, good for you!! I remember cooking my first Thanksgiving dinner...you'll do fine!!
Been pretty quiet around here today...like Farn, I'm sure everyone is getting their holiday business in order. I'm really tempted to skip Zumba tonight as I have some "pre" cooking to do tonight, but I need to "pre" burn those extra calories even more, ha!
Yesterday I was at the low end of my calories, about 1400. I was going to do my biggest loser sculpting DVD, but it kept freezing in the DVD player, so I went to my standby 2 mile WATP vid instead. Today I will be closer to the high end of my calorie range (about 1580), but I will also be doing an hour of zumba.
Tomorrow is definitely a no count day for me!! I look forward to seeing everyone's final results tomorrow. I will be weighing in before my coffee in the morning
Hey guys! Just checking in.. today I finally got back to normal eating. I also got my jog in so I completed w4d1 today of the c25k, which is great!!
The last time I tried the program I stopped at w3d3 and never finished the rest. Today I finally made it further! That makes me ecstatic!
Anyhow.. hope you guys have a great evening, sorry no personals. See you guys later!
Happy Thanksgiving all. Congrats on making it through the challenge. I wish I had started at the very start, but...better late than never. Enjoy tomorrow...and then get over it...no regrets. Whatever is your plan to follow, even if you slip and fall, its just 1 day, its delicious, and we can all get back asap. WE GOT THIS.
Good Evening Everyone!!! Another awesome challenge. If you made goal HOORAAAAH!!!! If not and you didn't gain but almost made goal or simply maintained. HOOOORRRRRAAAAAAAYYYYYYY You made some progress. To maintain is better than a gain. If you struggled but accomplished some part of your goal...HOOOOOOORRRRRAAAAAAAAAAYY! You've been working on your health. If you gained or did nothing...HOOOORRRRAAAAYYY..you are reading this post which shows you haven't totally given up.
Friday I will start the next Challenge. I was thinking another short one (Christmas) because it is a way to GIVE SOMETHING TOYOURSELF during this holiday season. You won't have to worry about how to do what you need to do for Christmas and all the parties that come with it. For the New Year no need for any grand resolutions. Make a decision now that you will end this year well and move into the next year making progress. If you know that this season is a real challenge for you to loose anything, instead of gaining commit to maintaining where you are now. Don't just quit and ruin all the work you've done and progress you've made. If you are very driven and the holidays are no problem well let's get it in. I don't want anyone to feel guilty about anything over the next month going into the new year. It's time to be happy. Love yourself enough to allow for mistakes or just having what you want. You allow them for others...hopefully. (probably gonna use this for the new challenge.)
I was thinking how I should feel because I only have a 5 pound loss for this challenge...GREAT!!! I'm closer to my goal size than I've ever been (I was able to change my profile to reflect it), I'm healthy (went to the dr today), and even if I say so myself I look really good. Especially compared to how I looked two years ago. So I'm feeling good 5 pounds lighter than I was at Halloween...how many people wish they had done something for their health or tried then it got hard or they ruined one meal and quit altogether?
I had a slight gain today, but I'm not too worried about it. Last night was zumba night and I think I'm just retaining water after all that exercise (Friday is my usual WI day....but no way in heck am I weighing in tomorrow, lol.) But I will definitely call this challenge a success as I reached a major milestone
Jiggle: I like the Christmas challenge idea. My personal goal was going to try to get as close to the 160's as possible by Dec. 23rd (last regular WI day before Christmas), then hopefully weigh the same on January 6th (1st WI day after New Years.) Probably staying away from the scale between those dates. So yeah...myabe a bit of a "gap" in challenges would be good for us. Christmas challenge, then a break, then maybe start back up in January for a Valentine's day challenge or something?
Everyone else: I reflect all of Jiggle's sentiments! Congrats to everyone who made progress AND to those of you who may be going through a rough patch but aren't giving up!!
Again, happy Thanksgiving, ladies! I'm very thankful for all of you and the support I get here
Happy Thanksgiving ladies!
I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy lots of yummy Thanksgiving food! It’s just a regular day here in Canada, so I’ve already been for my walk (just a half hour) and will be going to my BellyFit class tonight, which I’m looking forward to. I weighed in at 160 this morning and managed to make my 5 pound goal. And I agree with Northern and Jiggle that anyone who made any sort of progress and everyone who’s sticking it out through some rough times are doing a great job!! Congrats to everyone!!
I love the Christmas challenge idea. I’m definitely going to be indulging on Christmas (mmm… I’m already thinking about the cinnamon bun I’ll be having for breakfast) and it’ll probably take me a week or so to get back to my pre-Christmas weight.
Northern: Congrats on reaching your goal! I think I might end of having a similar weigh in strategy as you when Christmastime comes around. I don’t want to know what I weigh on boxing day
124Chick: I like your strategy. Thanksgiving is indeed just 1 day, and what’s the point if we can’t enjoy ourselves and embrace holidays
Jiggle: Congrats! I think that losing 5 pounds in 3.5 weeks is pretty darn awesome!
Tdi: Congrats on your c25k progress! You’re doing great!
Farn: 9 lbs is great! Congratulations! And you completed the challenge, which is awesome!
DOWN .6! OK it's not a huge drop but IT'S THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING! I still have dinner with friends for the next two days, so I'm not out of the woods yet, but dang, it's a nice start
Fyre: you are a brave woman indeed! I'm not going near the scale today, lol. Congrats on the loss, that's amazing!
Sparkle: thanks! I bet you're glad to have Thanksgiving overwith in Canada already. Its proximity to the Christmas season in the U.S. can be so dangerous to dieters...it can easily turn into a food fest from Thanksgiving clear to New Years.
I definitely got my eat on yesterday, but I certainly can't eat as much as I used to. Had one good sized plate and that was it for food (of course I was saving room for dessert, so I can't be too proud, lol.) My aunt Lilian's apple pie is sinful and just too good to resist! We are going to give the leftover goodies/pies and such to my BIL and his family, so we'll get the temptation out of the house soon.
We're going to get out and about this weekend...so I'm not out of the woods yet either, but am going to be making the best choices I can.
Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend! See you in the next challnge

I have loved seeing all the loss on this challenge and the lack of + sizes (Yay Jigglefree!)
I thought I'd sneak an extra .20 lb loss a week into my challenge this time--losing 5 instead of 4 lbs this month. Darnit if I didn't, but 1 pound a week is very very good.
Sorry I'm late weighing. I got down to 141.2 Thanksgiving Day and it wasn't my 135 but still a 7.6 lb loss so I will take it! Plus I lost almost 2 inches in my waist and 2 inches in my hips so booooya! Will be doing the next challenge and Congrats to all of you for getting through another challenge
