Stayed the same 176.8. I'll take it!!! Later ladies.
|
Hey everyone!!! Hope you all are having a great day!!! I'm feeling good, woke up early, had my coffee, and got some exercising in before work! Pretty pumped!!!! I just started watching the Biggest Loser, I'm a little behind, haha I know, but it is pretty inspiring and motivational!!! It seems weird though because one guy the first week lost 37 pounds! 37 POUNDS!!!!! How is that even possible? It doesn't seem healthy either. Doesn't anyone else agree?
Jiggle: thanks for the motivation! I just gotta get right back into gear! Good luck on the plan to be in a size 10 by New Year!! That sounds fabulous!! You've kicked soo much butt! What is plyometrics if you don't mind me asking? Scottie: You are right that is definitely not bad!! At least you are not gaining!! (like I have haha :) ) Keep it up and you will definitely get that whoooosh!!! Northern: Thanks!! I think I may give zumba a try too, it seems like people have be raving about it and saying how fun it is!! Unna: your job sounds fascinating! Good job getting whatever exercise you can get in even if it isn't at the gym. Everything counts. I need to work on that a little more. Just getting up and moving. Well I'm off to work ladies!! Making it a goal to post more on here because it really does help. Have a great day!!! |
Hi guys! Sorry things have been very busy around here! Things are going pretty good. I've been walking a whole bunch. I can't seem to get myself to circuit train or anything more structured than walking or cleaning. I suppose my body just needed a break from it. Which is fine. If I feel like doing it tomorrow I will. Otherwise, I'll wait til next week to try.
Eating has been allright. I think I'm coming up on my TOM since I've been ravenously hungry this week! I get to my limits, and eat healthy and I still feel like I haven't eaten all day! Yesterday I tried for 1400 and ended up eating around 1800. Today I will try to keep it between 1400-1600. I just can't stop thinking about food! LOL Over the weekend I walked 1 mile, Monday I walked 5, Yesterday was 2 and today was 4. That =12miles so far this week. If I keep walking like I have been, I might just make my goal!! 114.85 down, 35.15 to go! |
I had a busy day yesterday, got in a 45 min walk, then ended up going to the mall yesterday afternoon and walking around for a long time (probably an hour just walking) before finally going and trying some stuff on. My scale thanked me for the extra exercise this morning, although my shins aren’t quite as happy about it. Still, I got in my hour long walk today and I stayed OP.
Tdi: Great job on all the walking! You’re getting so close to your mile goal :) Farn: 37 lbs in a week really doesn’t sound healthy (or even possible… I mean, I rarely lose even 2 lbs in a week!). I don’t watch the show, but I really wonder what they have to do to lose so much so quickly… Chick: Congrats! Not gaining is always a good sign! Unna: Sounds like a really interesting job. And getting in that walking is great until you have time to get back to jogging :) Northern: I’m the same way around my TOM, and throw homemade sweets into the mix… Unfortunately my willpower just isn’t that strong. Scottie: Hope your whoosh comes soon! But hey, averaging almost 2 pounds per week is still great! Jiggle: I’m sorry you’re feeling the pain, but I’m sure you’ll be seeing great results soon! Phat: You’re so close to your goal, you can totally make it :) And when there’s no time for “official” exercise, doing what you’re doing is great! All that stuff does add up. |
Hey guys,
Well, I'm down a smidge to 175.7. Considering I'm still on TOM, I will take it. 1.7 lbs to go to goal. Doesn't sound like much, but with my girls' weekend this weekend, my birthday next Thursday and our Halloween party next Saturday, it's going to be a challenge...not sure I will make it, but I will try to get as close as I can. I will be offline for a few days, so I will report my NSV today. A couple of months ago I bought a pair of "muffin top" jeans hoping I could wear them sometime this fall. Well, I tried them on last night and they fit! I will wear them this weekend :) Catch you guys later!! |
Good Morning Everyone.
I made it through the past couple days of P90X. I'm still in a lot of pain but it's not as bad today. I'm hoping it gets better soon. I'm loving the way I feel when the workout is over...I didn't realize the yoga was going to be a 90 minute thing and I will say this...my stomach is still in the way so I had to make a lot of adjustments and my movement wasn't so fluid...but I got it done. Tonight is more strength training. OMG!!! We have 11 more days on this challenge and we are going to get it DONE!!! Gotta go before the warden come by my desk to see what I'm doing...LOL!! |
Hey all, Things have been going allright. I've decided to not calorie count too closely for a couple days and just eat intuitively. Although, yesterday I ate like junk. Today I may calorie count and keep close to the 1400.
I did manage this week to get back to 155, so that's good despite my lack of circuit training and eating higher calorie than normal. I walked 2 miles yesterday. 116.85 down, 33.15 to go! |
Hello everyone!!! Have a pretty good day today, hope you all are as well!! I had the most AMAZING WHOOSH on the scale today!!! So I'm only two pounds away from getting rid of the excess that I put on during this challenge instead of losing. I know it's not goal, but it's making me happy to see that I'm finally going in the right direction again!!! Thankfully!!
SparkleBe: Yeah thats what I was thinking, that 37 pounds seems like almost way too much! I did some research and I guess they are exercising upwards to 7 or 8 hours a day and are under constant medical supervision. Even Jillian Michaels in an interview said that nobody should exercise that much unless you do have a doctor aware and ok'ing everything. I'll stick with my hour or so a day haha Northern: you are so close to goal!! You can do it!!! I know how you feel about having a tough weekend coming up! I'm going to the Vikings/Packer game at the Metrodome this weekend and I know everybody I'm going with is going to be tailgating. That means beer, brats, hotdogs, chips all the good but terrible stuff. I need to figure out a way to say no to all of this! haha. Congrats on the NSV! jiggle: glad to hear you are feeling better and still kickin butt on that p90x!!! tdiprincess: we all have our bad days, I had a bad few weeks actually haha. since you lost weight with the influx of calories, maybe that's a good thing? sometimes eating more calories is better. Sounds weird, but true. haha Well I'm off to workout and then head to work. Have a good day everyone!!! |
farn00a57: I really love your hair color.
37 lbs?????? Is that a world record???? I wander what the world record is for the most weight lost in a week... The best thing about living in Europe in the city is that everyone walks and rides bikes everywhere. So, even if I don't count calories or do extra exercise, I level out around 175lbs. In America, where I drove everywhere, I would level out around 185-190 if I wasn't careful. tdiprincess: whenever I'm feeling ravenous and not in the mood for hardcore exercise, I also don't beat myself up for it. I like to repeat: "slow and steady wins the race" in my head. So, even if I'm just doing something little like eating 1700 cal. a day, I know I'm still doing something to reach my goal. NorthernExposure: YAY!! No more muffin top!!I LOVE that feeling.... I also have a pair of jeans like that which almost fit without muffin hangin' over! Well, as for me, I'm still working and walking! I should finish the job Saturday morning, so I'm going to plan jogging sessions for Saturday and Sunday. Another thing I realized is I've been eating too much sugar lately. It still fits into my calorie allotment, but its not good for me. You see, I've found these little chocolate/milky/creamy bars for 120 cal. a piece. Since I discovered them, I've been eating two-three per day! Thus I'm still at 1700 cal. a day. Oh well. I did feel a bit skinny-ish this morning. Only 2 more weeks until my weigh-in. I need to get my butt back in tip top shape so that I see 159 on the scale AND so I DON'T see a muffin hanging out over my jeans anymore!!! |
Good Day everyone!!! I've had a great week. I'll be weighing in Sunday and doing measurements so that I can see what this week has done for me.
My NSV for today is I did my workout everyday this week. There were days especially last night that I just wanted to go to sleep but after my last task ended at 10pm I got up and did my 1hr Legs and Back workout!!! I keep hearing everyone say wait until I start seeing results...which normally won't show up until the end of week two or three. No matter it's a great workout I highly recommend. |
Scale hasn't budged in a few days!! *Panic Panic* I am guessing it's because of muscle gain because I just started couch to 5k program. My body is so sore! I feel great and my calories are great. I am worried I might not reach my halloween goal though.. unless I get a big scale woosh...

Happy Friday ladies!
Yesterday, I walked for 30 minutes and went to my Belly Fit class, then today I walked for 45 minutes. So that’s a bit less than my normal 1-hour walks, but my shins are not happy with my overzealous mall-walking (I get shin splints and they seem to act up whenever I exercise longer than normal. I think I walked for about 2.5 hrs Wednesday, and apparently that was enough to irritate my shins. Sheesh) I’ve had an OP week and I’m looking forward to WI this Sunday. I’m really hoping that I’ll hit a 30-lb total loss this weekend, since I’m 0.5 lb away from that right now. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but I figure that if I don’t get there this week then I’ll probably get there next week and that’ll be great too :) Fun: Those weeks happen, but since you’re doing so great it’ll show on the scale eventually (hopefully soon) Jiggle: Good job doing your workout every day this week! Hopefully next week gets a bit better (or at least less sore). Unna: I love living in a city where you can walk anywhere! I used to live in one, but I’ve recently moved back in with my parents and the only thing within an hour’s walk is a grocery store and small plaza. Farn: Congrats on the whoosh! And, like Unna, I also really like your hairstyle. Tdi: Congrats on the loss! Northern: Congrats on the muffin-less jeans! Hope you have lots of fun on your girls’ weekend! |
I totally forgot to post my NSV, and I’m actually really excited about it. I went out to buy jeans today and the size 14s were too big! I ended up getting a pair of size 12 jeggings, although they’re slightly tight and will probably take another 4-5 pounds to fit perfectly. But I’d rather buy jeans a little tight than a little big since I’m planning to lose more anyways :)

So, beyond the sweets, and beyond eating *while* I cook, I've realized I have another "issue": leaving left-overs on the stove! I pick and pick the entire evening! If the meal was really good, I fantasize about just one more bite!
Anyway, the left-overs really need to go into the stove or fridge, nicely wrapped up, directly after I've portioned my food out. Anyone else have left-over that also call your name???? |
I finished my first week of P90X and I feel really good about it. I lost 1 pound and I also lost 2.25 inches. My husband is doing P90X with me and after taking his measurements I was disgusted. He gained 2 pounds and lost 6 inches...SERIOUSLY (me screaming)! Yea I know they loose faster but I was just disgusted. I also am aware that muscle weighs more that fat but MY GOODNESS. Does he really have to blow me out like that?? Well I will just keep going and not let it get to me.
Any ideas for the next challenge? Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years?? I would prefer a short Challenge like Thanksgiving. My first round of P90X will end on Jan 14, 2012. So let me know!!! |
