I am pretty bad at this "counting calories" but I don't want to follow a formal diet for fear of losing it when I get off of it.

Anyone have any tips? I am very good at writing down what I eat but when it comes you actually calculating it...I just kinda go blegh.

Use a site like fitday.com or livestrong.com

It will calculate everything for you. Or you can use an app on your phone if you don't have access to a computer all day.

I find I am much more likely to stay under my calorie intake if I enter what I have eaten as soon as possible.

Good morning,

It's good to see that we're all off to a good start. Yesterday was the best day I've had in weeks. I am determined to stick with it this time. I was on such a roll from Dec to Feb and hit a plateau that lasted over a month. Instead of sticking with it, I fell of the wagon and here I am needing to lose an additional 12 pounds.

srt4852 - I was always terrible when it came to calorie counting and I hated the thought of tracking every calorie. My sister turned me on to Livestrong.com and I love it.

I hope everyone has a great day and stay strong

Good morning,

We're on day 3 and it looks like we're doing a great job

Yesterday I stayed OP and I did a Hip Hop Abs workout. I just need to stay focused and not let anything throw me off track.

Have a great day everyone.

Default Everyone Hanging in There?

Just checking to see how everyone is doing. I have stuck to less than 1450 calories each day since Monday. Looking forward to my official weigh in on Monday. Lets have a good weekend and stay on program.

Hi Sheila... week went beautifully for me. Going out this morning to hit a couple of farmers market and get some fresh goodies.

I'm almost 2 months in and I'm feeling great. First few weeks were rough because I was used to eating so much junk for lunch during the week and then eating junk on the weekends. Now, clean eating feels good.

I don't talk about being on a 'diet', I've just decided that for my healths sake I need to take better care of my body and move more.

Good Luck on your Monday weigh in, I know you will do great. My next weigh in is May 13th at my dr appt.

I want to join in. I lost 90lbs and have kept off 75 of it. I am struggling and my dr suggested I give 1200 calories a try for a few weeks. She thinks it will work for me. So Im going to try it. I lost my weight 2yrs ago and have struggled to keep off 75 of it.
