I can' say that I'm feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after taking the evening off last night but I'm still very glad I did. I felt great to just sit after being busy yesterday.

But back at it today! Planning on 1585 calories with weight lifting and cardio today. My planned calories were lower but since yesterday afternoon after having one of the best PB&Js ever and fruitlady's post, I can't seem to get enough PB. Already had a banana planned for breakfast and thought how yummy it would be to have some on top of it. So I made a serving of PB2 and slathered it on there. But I only added 22-1/2 calories because I realized I had a full serving planned for my post-work out snack and that's more than plenty for 4 mini rice cakes.

Hello ladies !! it's a beautiful spring day over here in Kentucky .. the wind is just right & the sun is shining, not too hot though. The bad part is that I'm at WORK ..!! stuck inside away from the beautiful weather.. I'll be out of work in the next couple hours though. I plan on going walking & doing a little working out, & then off to see my baby niece in the NCIU at the hospital. She's doing well, they're winging her off the ventilator already .. her lungs are strong for a little bitty thing.. I've attached a picture of her with my brother touching her while in the incubus yesterday.. she's a soldier!! .. anyway, I hope everyone's having a great week so far !!

Soldier indeed, she is so preciously tiny! Hope things continue to go well and you enjoy your visit.

Was the same here, beautiful weather on a Wednesday, but it's suppose to cool down for the weekend. Go figure, eh? I'm off to Body Attack. It was a pretty awful day, so I'm looking forward to channeling it into a lot of calories burned!! Have a good evening everyone

Northern- I need to get me some wii zumba, do you like it?
PHAT-The baby is so tiny, she's in my prayers.
Bee- Welcome. You still sticking with 30day shred? Its so hard to stay motivated to do it. I moved on to level two and went from enjoying the workout to it being one of the hardest 25 mins ever. I think I may go back to level one today, Its so hard to do it every day.

To the others the other day we did have a bbq, he ended up getting some turkey brats that were good. Also found some turkey hot dogs that are only 40 cals. Not the best food to eat but a good alternative to a Hamburger.

I have been sticking in my calorie range. I had a few nice days to go for a walk/jog but now the weather stinks.... So cold and rainy today, just wanna lay around in a blanket all day.
Kinda bummed my biggest part of my wieght loss I believe is that every wednesday I go and play wallyball for like 2-3hrs. I burn a ton of calories and have lots of fun (always have a 2 pound drop next day), but tonight I have no sitter. :-(
For the last week no significant wieghtloss either. I cheated on st. pattys day but I didnt gain wieght, it just stop my wieghtloss. Any natural ways to boost it? I'm exerciseing and 1300 calorie limits.
I hope I didnt hit some type of plateau.

Best wishes to the rest of you.

HI ladies. Okay, so funny you all are talking about peanut butter - I heart peanut butter, and just eat the normal 190 calorie servings when I want it (or 80 if it's just on toast). I myself had a heavenly PB&J sandwich for lunch, so I find it ironic you all are talking about it!

I would love to find a low-cal pb that isn't paste!

Did good with my calories yesterday & got 40 mins on the treadmill. Tonight, I plan to go home and do some strength training, and get up in the morning to get in some Pilates. I really need to kick it up about three notches.

For my birthday, one of my co-workers bought me a candy jar for my desk area, filled it with reese's cups (bite size) plus a filler bag. What kind of evil is this? PB & chocolate are my favorites. So, I walked around my office to let everyone know that there is Reese's cups at my desk, and I know that 5 pieces = 220 calories. So if I absolutely need to eat it, I can remind myself how many BAD calories I am eating - I won't lie - I eat them but I count each little one in my food diary! But still EVIL ~ My fiancee thinks she is trying to sabotage me!!

manders- thanks, I'll look for pb2. I ate a banana this morning w/ peanut butter on it too! I love it, but I always end up eating half the jar. I like the natural ,reduced fat kind. If I could find a good low cal, low fat version, it would save me alot calories & fat. I tend to eat alot of it!

Yes, once I got started on the peanut butter, look out! I had about 8.5 servings today. It tasted so good I couldn't stop. My calories are through the roof cause I ate it with everything i had, 3864! Gotta get back on plan tomorrow & for the next week. I'll gain for sure after today! Rode the bike for 21min.this morning, went shopping and now I'm going back on the bike again.

LOL I was singing the praises of my PB&J all day. It's amazing what the simple things in life can do!

I believe I remember you posting that you have tried PB2. I don't personally find it to be pasty and I think the bit of extra water makes it nice and creamy. And the taste is just right on. So if you haven't tried it, IMO it's worth it. If you have, you could mix 1 serving of PB2 with 1/2 a serving of regular PB for more overall and the regular PB should make the PB2 nice and creamy. Just another another option to keep the calories down.

And yes, you have a very evil co-worker! I'd be totally screwed!

The last time I bought PB at the grocery store I got the natural Jif (always been a Jif girl). The only noticeable difference from regular PB to me was that even though the jar said no stir, I have to stir it ever time.

I'm not sure how I've managed such willpower around PB but I have. I'd say my worst infraction is not thoroughly wiping the knife off on the jar before licking the extra PB off. Having the PB2 is probably a bit more challenging because I know it's so much less in calories that I feel that I can have it.

As I've been typing the post I've been wondering if I can increase my post-work out snack so I can have more PB!

The posts on peanut butter are cracking me up! I love peanut butter but my flatmate is allergic to peanuts, so I have to either eat it out of the house or be really, really careful It has kept me from eating as much as I would if I could.

And I second that, the co-worker with the pb cups? Sneaky!!

Oh! I forgot about PB on an apple! Thank you! Goodbye half a serving of Pop Chips with dinner and Jell-O Mousse Temptations for dessert, hello half an apple topped with 1 serving of PB2 for dessert!

I had a Reese's peanut butter cup for my chocolate treat today...coincidence?? I think not! LOL.

Miss Jessica: congrats on the loss!!

Tired: I love my wii Zumba! 20 minutes of Zumba goes by so much faster than a "regular" workout. It's a really fun thing to have in my exercise arsenal. I definitely wouldn't do it in front of anyone though...I have about as much latin rhythm as you'd expect from a white girl from Minnesota, lol!

I also hear you on 30 day shred. I did about 3 or 4 days of it (just on level 1) and, I don't know, it's just not fun. I'm sure it WORKS, but if I hate something, I won't stick with it. I may revisit it again (or maybe just do it once in a while), but definitely not something I want to commit to right now.

Meg: your co-worker is most definitely evil.

Phat: OMG, what a tiny little thing she is! Hoping she gets stronger and healthier every day!

As for me: I did my 3 mile WATP video tonight, along with 10 minutes of ab work. Ending the day at about 1520 calories. So far, so good this week!

Thank you for all the support ladies, it means a lot to me.

I'm still not eating the best foods, and still not quite sticking within my 1400 calorie limit - more like 1500-1600...but it's ok. I will recommit properly when I am ready and in the meantime I won't go overboard - I know that I have come too far to give up!

I have another job interview tomorrow so I'm feeling nervous, but positive - at least I have another chance at a different job. My neck is also feeling a lot better from the whip lash so hopefully I can get back into exercising next week.

Rainbow: Job hunting sucks....I hope you won't be pounding the pavement too much longer! Glad to hear your neck is better.

So tomorrow is WI day. I'm a little nervous that last week's "whoosh" was a fluke...but I guess it will be what it is.

Looking ahead, I have a challenging weekend coming up, but I really want to stick to my goals (exercise at least 5 days a week, no more than two days over 1600 cals a week). Saturday night we have a party, and Sunday is our anniversary (11 years...wow, where does the time go?) so we're doing a quick little overnight trip to celebrate. Anyway, here's my plan:

Friday: normally not an exercise day, but I will get a workout in tomorrow evening anyway. I think I'll be fine with my calories as we don't have any big plans.

Saturday: Usually my other "rest" day, but I will squeeze in a workout in the morning or afternoon before the party. I'm gonig to try to stay in my 1600 calorie limit that day. I'm thinking 500 cals or so between breakfast and lunch, which would allow me up to 1100 cals for drinks/party food. Of course estimating party food calories is hard (drinks are a little easier) but hopefully I will be in the ballpark.

Sunday: rest day/higher calorie day #1. Sensible breakfast (at home) and lunch out (maybe subway or something not too horrible) and I will enjoy my anniversary dinner that evening guilt-free. Hopefully keep the day under 2,000 cals total.

Monday: rest day/higher calorie day #2. Not-so-sensible brunch (looks like we will be doing a buffet), but I will end the day with a sensible dinner (at home). Again, hopefully under 2,000 cals when all is said and done.

Tuesday: back to work and back OP as usual.
