Rainbow: So sorry to hear you're having such a hard time I hope you start feeling better (physically AND emotionally) real soon.

Phat: More thoughts and prayers for your neice. Keep us posted!

Osu2k1: congrats on the loss!

Manders: great job limiting yourself to just half a personal pizza! Pizza is one of those things I have a hard time controlling my portions on.

Welcome, little bumble!

Everyone I missed: sounds like most of you are off to a great start for this challenge!!

As for me: had 1590 calories and did my 2 mile WATP video yesterday (30 minutes). Barely under my 1600 cal "red line" for the workweek, but still there

Looks like the snow is supposed to start at 1:00 today. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have school tomorrow! As much as I don't want anymore snow, I can't help but get excited about the prospect of a snow day, lol (I'm just as bad as the kids!) But now they're kind of backing off on their earlier predictions. If we only get 4-8 inches, we'll probably have to work tomorrow

rainbowstripe - Hoping things turn around for you soon!

Pretty typical day...in the kitchen this morning, errands and work this afternoon and cardio this evening. Planning on 1547 calories today including one of my new faves, spaghetti squash for dinner!

Good Day Ladies,
I'm feeling really good. I have had three great days and I expect that I will have some results on Saturday.
Manders - The spaghetti squash sounds interesting...how do you prepare that?
Lori - You are so helpful...THANKS>
Northern - SNOW??? We are supposed to be in the 80s today. The very reason I migrated south!!! You are doing really well...hopefully by August I will be sporting my goal sizes!!!
Rainbow - Been there but keep inhaling and exhaling and it will get better sooner than you think.

Let's all have fun today. We can live well and enjoy the process.

I use the oven method though it can be done in the microwave. Poke it with holes all over, place on a tray and bake at 375 for 1 hour. When done, slice in half, remove the seeds than use a fork to scrape out the strands. I have a lot of servings since they are so low-cal. For instance, tonight I'm having 6 servings (1/2 cup servings at 25 calories a piece). This tends to be more than one serving of pasta sauce will cover but I don't want to start doubling or tripling up on the pasta cause because of the calories. So I warm 1 serving of pasta sauce at 50 calories and 1 serving of Italian-style diced tomatoes (either leave chunky or puree in a blender) at 30 calories which comes out to about a cup of sauce. I typically throw in meat as well, chicken sausage or like tonight, Morningstar crumbles (I know, not really meat ). This typically covers the squash perfectly. After the sauce and meat are warmed through, I add the squash to the pan, mix it all up and serve topped with a half serving of Parmesan cheese. YUMMY!

Hi everyone!
Reading everyone's updates, is helping me to stay true to myself. Each day is a struggle. But, checking in here, will force me to take a serious look at my eating habits.

Today, is my day one of exercising. It is hard, but I must push myself. And last night after checking in here, I planned my menu for today and I plan to stick with it.

Melissa, congratulations on the .8 loss.

Rainbow, I am sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult time. I hope you feel better soon.

PHAT, I hope all is well.
Megems, I am trying to fit back into my wedding dress!
Northern, When I was in school, we did get many snow days, but if there was ice on the roads, school was cancelled and I was so happy to stay in bed.

Lori, you are very brave. I am scared of the scale, but I espcially avoid it, when I have my period.
Jiggle, I will be so happy when I reach day 3 of being back on track with my eating and exercising.

manders, I hope to get to the day, when I can enjoy a delicious dish, without binging.

Thanks! I'm actually still a little surprised I was able to. Usually I pick at leftovers a bit when they're cooling off to go in the fridge. I did eat a few bites of the chicken sausage I cooked up last night but still in my allotment so not feeling guilty about it. But those were hard not to devour...so good. Basil Chicken and Jalapeno Chipotle Chicken...YUM!

Hi Everyone! - I'm curious, has anyone ever tried - Better n peanut butter- It's a low cal, low fat version of peanut butter. I'd like to buy some, but I'm afraid it will taste bad, I don't want to waste any money on it if I have to throw it away! Let me know, Thanks!!

Did good with my calories( 1300) Rode the bike for 25min. then went food shopping. I made hubby take all his junk food to work with him so it's not here. So I'm good for tonight, no temptation. I ate too much yesterday, but I lost 1lb. It's bound to catch up with me by tomorrow, I never get away with it. I'm expecting a gain in the morning!

I haven't tried that but I do have the PB2 and I adore it!!! I'm so happy to find low-cal peanut butter. I know some have mentioned the texture is a bit different than regular but I just as a smidge more water and think it's almost spot on. So if you haven't tried it, it's another option out there.

In fact I love it so much I had a BIG PB&J sandwich for lunch and it was heaven!

So my typical work out schedule is weights and light cardio on M - W - F, moderate cardio on T - Sa and walks on Sa - Su with my one true day off on Thursdays. I went to go put my work out clothes on tonight and just said to heck with it! I'm feeling a little beat, worked hard today and just want a day off! So I'm taking one. I'll move my Tuesday work out to Thursday and I'm sure I'll be none the negatively impacted for doing so.

I'm in as well! Very excited for an Easter challenge. I gave up biscuits for Lent as at tea break, I think I was eating 3 a day out of habit... oops! I don't usually celebrate with food, but I will be celebrating with a cookie and hopefully a 5 lb loss! Glad to have found such a chatty group, I'm seeing my name on so many posts on the main board, I feel a bit pathetic

Goals: -5 lb and consistency through the next 5 weeks (proper calorie range and regular exercise through the week)

Looking forward to getting to know everyone, good luck ladies

1520 calories yesterday, 20 minutes wii zumba and 10 minutes weight lifting. No snow day . We did get a late start this morning as there was a little more snow in the school district where I work (I live about 1/2 hr from my work), but we only got like 1/2 inch at our house. I guess I'm happy as I really want to get on with spring, but it's still disappointing when the weather people predict this huge storm and it turns out to be nothing!
