  • Good Afternoon,
I went to gym for my 2 mile walk/jog and it was WONDERFUL. I actually jogged most of the 2 miles. Calories are on point thus far. I loving it.
P H A T - Keep your head up. I've had those days and you can do this. We can do this!!
Ekicna - This is a new day and another opportunity to be successful.
  • So I'm off to a rough start this week. I was thrown off course a little last week due to being sick, followed by pre-TOM. Was hoping to start fresh today after a so-so weekend calorie-wise. Had a workshop out of the building today and thought lunch would be something like soup and sandwiches...but instead it was pasta, bread, desserts and other yummy things. Let's just say I really have no idea how many calories I ate. I guess I will just eat my normal dinner tonight and do my exercise as usual. Hope I can salvage these last few days before my Firday WI. Not feeling too hopeful for a loss right now

Well, congrats to those who've lost and "hang in there" to those who are struggling...I feel your pain!!
  • I feel you with the bad Monday! Ate too much and it was junk that I'm not even in to. Must be time to go to the grocery... Still a half pound away from getting out of the 150's. Two weeks isn't a long time to be stuck, but it sure feels like longer! More veg and protein this week, not so much sugar. This is the battle plan Great job to the losers this week!
  • I ate beyond full yesterday, 4700 calories including my three main meals I always have. Peanut butter and coconut macaroons are to blame, well actually I am to blame. Gained 3 lbs already, I hope there is not more to come. Today right back on plan, 1484 cal., walked for 32min. & did yard work for 7 hrs straight.
  • Hi all, doing well staying on plan. I think my drinking of huge quantities of water is really helping my efforts. I also continued to exercise, though I am having some foot pain in my right foot lately. This happens to me sometimes after I do higher impact stuff, like the jogging I've been doing lately. I might try switching back to walking/strength exercises until it subsides a bit. Too bad because I think I lose more with jogging than anything else. I think I'm on track to be out of the 250's before April 24!!! Congrats to others that are sticking with their plans.

Hang in there if you're struggling, you can do this!
  • I've been out of control since my cheat day last Wednesday! AHH! Yesterday's slip up included fried chicken and biscuits at 1am.

Didn't even weigh myself this morning. TODAY WILL BE BETTER! I just finished off a couple of nutrigrain waffles with some peanut butter and I'm about to fill up my water bottle and get BACK TO BUSINESS!
  • seems like everyone has had an uncontrollable couple of days.. haha.. I wonder why that is..
  • Well, I see I am not alone!

Did my 2-mile WATP yesterday, along with a few thigh exercises. Again, no idea on calories after yesterday's lunch disaster, but I did just eat a "normal" dinner and "normal" evening snack, so hopefully accomplished at least SOME damage control, lol.

Back to my normal routine and plan today. Really need to be strict these next few days if I want to have any hope for Friday's WI. Not sure what I want to do for exercise tonight...debating between wii zumba and 30 day shred, along with some yoga.
  • Proud of myself, kept on track yesterday even with some slight grazing while making dinner (4 mini rice cakes). The scale was very unkind to me yesterday but I'm not going to take much stock in it yet. Between the several binges in the past week and PMS, I'm guessing my water weight is sky high. So towards the end of the week I'll update my weight, should be more accurate then.

Have been trying to introduce more veggies into my diet since I feel like although I love them, I eat the same ones all the time. So I made mashed parsnips to go with my turkey burger and roasted brussel sprouts. Oh. My. God. I had a hunch I wasn't going to like them when I peeled them. They already smelled too sweet. Well sure enough, I took one bite and spit it right out. Ewwwwww! Since I had my hunch I made them earlier than the rest of dinner was to be ready so I had time to throw a potato into the microwave and have it instead. It was yummy!

Planning on 1566 calories with moderate cardio today.

Good luck everyone! Big hugs to those that have hit a rough patch. I'm hoping I've gotten through this one.

Dorian - Hang in there! You can do it!
  • Good morning, although Monday was a little out of control (I had a whole bag of Bit-O-Honeys and tea and too many rice cakes!!! LOL) the scale was still nice to me this morning, it mus understand how other areas in my life are sucking right now, so I can at least control this (weight loss). Anyway, weighed in at 242.4 this morning and I feel like if I keep this up, I will smash through my Easter Goal by next official weigh in. Have a good day fellow chicks!!!
  • I "cheated" last night and had some Hawkin's Cheezies...BUT I didn't go outside of my calorie range, so that's a bonus. I don't typically weigh every day (at least I try not to), but wondered how much water I would be retaining after all that sodium last night, I was up 1.6lbs from yesterday morning...crazy!

I did my typical daily 3 mile walk today, but have decided to add in some short interval running, as long as my knee (which is arthritic) can take it, today was day one, and my intervals were very short (only 75 meters or so), but it felt good to be able to do it at all. I know I couldn't even have done that at the beginning of the year, so I am pleased.
  • I hope everyone is having a good day on plan. I have been staying in my calories but eating too much "crappy" foods which leaves me without any energy. So then I don't work out But I did spend 2 hours cleaning my kitchen and walls (my basset hounds have a slobbering issue that can end up on my walls) last night so I hope I burned a couple calories that way.
Good luck everyone, I'm sending positive energy your way!

Oh I LOVE Bassets. We had one that was a rescue. However, she was not placed well (they sadly just wanted to give her to the first person who'd pay for her, we later found out), and had severe food aggression, which we couldn't have in our house, with 2 small kids. If we didn't already have 2 dogs, plus a Newfie in the near future, I'd SO be getting my husband a basset. He grew up with one, and she was darling (I've seen the home movies). One day we'll have another one!
  • Thanks, Manders01! Your little comment made me excited to sit down at my desk and eat my very healthy lunch.

k15g15, I bet that did burn a few calories! I love bassets too!

OhMyDogs I looooove Newfies!! When I worked at Petsmart we had a regular Newfie who was just DARLING! I felt bad for her though because her owner lived in an apartment complex in a tiiiiiiny 1 bedroom, that dog had no room! She was very low energy with a bad knee, so I guess she didn't need as much... still though. Yeesh.

My honey and I are getting a Pembroke Corgi puppy soon, I told him that I've already been there and done that as far as puppies go and this is his responsibility!

Anyway, been staying ON TARGET today! Just gotta catch up a little on my water consumption and stay strong tonight, I think my boy and I are getting dinner together. But I've got my eye on the prize now! :Insert ROCKY theme:
  • Dorian We had a Newfie before, and she too had a "bum knee", and she was AMAZING. We lost her almost 2 years ago to bone cancer, and it devastated me. I have decided it's time for me to move on, so I am hoping to be getting a puppy by the summer. They are AMAZING dogs.
