  • jiggle- I'm so glad you got your mojo back!

manders- Let's hope this is just water weight and it comes off quickly. Sounds like you have a good plan to get back on track. I hate those I don't care days! Once you start it's hard to get back on plan. I'm having alot of those days lately.

Ok, the scale scared me into getting back on plan this morning. My weight went up big time, it's time to take action. Told hubby we have to buy smaller portions of his junk food so it's not hanging around the house for days. That means a small jar of P.B & a pint of ice cream for him to eat after work. No large sizes anymore! If it hangs around here too long, I go after it. He's ok with it, if it will help me, he knows I struggle if junk food is here.

Did well today with calories, 1352 is perfect for me. Rode the bike for 15min. & walked for 30min. I just have to stick with it now, til I lose about 5lbs. Then i can raise my calorie limit a little.

    Good luck to us all!
  • Thanks, everyone for all of your well-wishes. I am feeling much better today. Back to normal eating today and going to ease back into my exercise routine tonight. TOM is coming and so is my WI day on Friday. I think I will still sneak a peak, but take whatever number I see with a grain of salt. Between being sick and pre-TOM/TOM, I know my body is completely out of whack.

Newbies: Welcome! You've found a great bunch of gals here

Rainbow: congrats on the job...yay you!

Everyone I missed: I did go back and read all of your posts, just short on time for personals for everyone right now. Congrats to those doing well, and "chin up" to those who are struggling and/or frustrated with weight loss and/or just life in general. We've all been there in some form or another and we are here to support each other!
  • 149.2 today!! I'm not changing it til Monday, but it's SO exciting to possibly be out of the 150's
  • 1545 calories yesterday and 2 mile WATP video, though not at 100%. Definitely not quite running on all 8 cyliders yet. I'm thinking elliptical and yoga tonight.

Jessica: congrats on making it to the 140's, even if it's not quite "official" yet
  • Yay!!!! 179.9lbs. I'm soooo happy to be out of the 180s. I hope I stay out of them. I was getting a little discouraged. I went to wallyball last night and this morning had a 2.5lb lost.
  • I'm feel like I'm back to where I was when I got on this journey. Focused and ready to see real results. It seems like I've been stuck in the same realm for too long. But progress in here.

Norhtern - Glad you are back on the pony and feeling better.
Jessica - Congrats on your loss and you will be looking at more 140s before the weekend arrives...just stay focused.
Fruitlady - Thanks. I know what you mean about the junk food. I was getting hemmed up on the 100 calorie snacks...I would eat more than one because they were only 100 calories but didn't realize 2-3 of them was out of control.

Let's make it a great day and have some fun
  • Goooooooood morning (it's morning in my part of the world anyway, 8:07am here) Challengees!!

How is everyone doing today? I am feeling super energetic this morning, and while I did my 3 mile walk yesterday (I typically alternate 3 miles one day, 1.6 the next) I may do 3 miles again today, as long as my knee isn't being too much of a pain. It's got arthritis, and I am usually pretty good at babying it just enough that it doesn't get too bad. I have some Advil in me, and will just play it by ear.

I am also excited because it's grocery shopping night! LOL how sad is that? Luckily for my, my husband brought home some cantaloupe and strawberries for me, so I have some delicious snacks for today!

Also I snuck a peek at the scale this morning, and had a loss, so that makes me happy too! I always seem to have a loss after my 3 mile walks. Weird!

    How is everyone else doing?
  • Cleaned my bathroom like crazy yesterday afternoon. I scrubbed the walls even! Tackling the kitchen today. I do believe it might kill me. Also have to run the last of my errands this evening - picking up paper goods (Rockies themed of course ), decorations and some bathroom accessories (my tumbler and waste can are gross ). And I made sure I got the painting of my toenails purple out of the way last night so they're all ready!

Another "light" day of calories planned - 1492. Weights and cardio today though the cardio will probably be light. I was beat after all the cleaning so I only made through my normal bike routine. There was no way I was going to get through time on the elliptical. And I'm guessing the kitchen is going to be harder than the bathroom so I don't have much confidence that I will do the cardio routine. But I'm okay with that since this cleaning is definitely above and beyond a typical days work for me.

fruitlady - Thanks, I hope it does too! I was up more than when I weighed myself on Tuesday. I should probably not weigh myself until Monday to get this binge and the damage to be done tomorrow out of my system but I cannot resist the scale!
  • Aww man...I gained back the weight I lost, I weighed in at 246.2 today, but I think I'm about to get TTOM, so I'm predicting major number the next few days. Overall, It's a still a weekly loss from Monday's weight and official weigh-in isn't until next Monday, so who knows what will happen

OhMyDogs Knees are no joke! Bum knees run in my family on the paternal side and it's one of the main reasons I am trying to get this weight off, less weight=less knee pain

jigglefree Awesome to see you've got your rev back

Tiredofgettingbigger What a great loss!!! And "wallyball"? What's that?

    MissJessica WTG!

On to another good day ladies!!!
  • I broke down & weighed yesterday. Nothing changed, I'm still the same from Sunday.. Kinda bummed me out a little, lol.. But I still have a couple days this week before I weigh again. I've been so busy at work, I havent had time to do anything. My time should be freed up though within the next week or 2, so I've decided that I'm gonna go hard with the exercising. I have to set new goals for myself starting next month, & really do whatever I can to meet them.

On a side note, my niece is doing wonderful. Her labs came back perfect & her hearing test did too. The hole in her heart has closed up as well. She's such a perfect little thing!
  • Fit4Lyfe I agree about bum knees being sucky! Mine has actually bothered me FAR less than I anticipated with all this walking, which of course makes me very happy. Like you I am trying to get this weight off so my knee is less stressed and to hopefully keep the arthritis from progressing. I am too young to be disabled by a bum knee! I avoid things that will really set my knee off right now, like squats and lunges and running, and will see about tackling them when I am quite a bit lighter.

Also, I hope that when TOM is over, you see a bit drop in weight. TOM sucks! Men should have it instead! lol
  • Tired: congrats on getting out of the 180's! I hope to join you in the 170's soon! I'm also curious about "wallyball?"

Jiggle: Sounds like you are very determined and focused lately. Good for you!!

Dogs: strawberries sound yummy! I'm so ready for "summer" fruits!

Phat: so glad to hear your little neice is doing well!

Fit: I'm also about to get TOM. And tomorrow, being April Fool's Day is my regular WI day. Figures!

Manders: If you run out of house to clean, you can always come over to mine!

As for me: I think I'll end up at around 1500 cals today. Again, not sure what to expect for WI tomorrow. No idea if my weight will be up or down after stomach flu, and now pre-TOM. My energy is still pretty low, but I do have my appetite back now. (Couldn't stop thinking about pizza last night!)

I could really not hate this more if I tried. I cannot stand cleaning and really don't do it that throughly on the rare occasion that I do clean. Maybe that's why it's taking so long to get the house into shape!

LOL these are just out of season grocery store bought ones. My backyard is still under 2.5 feet of snow, but we are above freezing and actually melting today, so there's hope that maybe, one day grass and strawberries could happen! lol

ITA with the bolded!!! I am still in my 20's and my knee is already starting to be a problem, my dad didn't have any knee problems until he was 36 y.o. I'm 22!!! And TTOM is the pits and since my official weigh-in is Monday, I feel like I'm going to be bummed out about it.

ITA: men should have to deal with this at least once or twice a year
