  • I really need to get back into the swing of exercising, but it's just so hard with all the hours I've been pulling at work. I'll figure something out though, even if it's just a mile walk.

  • You too, PHAT!! About exercising... I was reminded tonight of a quote I read here when I first began posting. It was something like "No one ever says 'I wish I didn't exercise today'." I had probably only done planned/structured exercise 5 times in my adult life until 2 months ago (seriously. I NEVER exercised, and the thought of exercise didn't appeal to me at all), and it took a lot of resolve to make it a regular part of my life. I still have a really hard time fitting it in some days as well (I usually go to the gym at 10pm)... but I always feel so much better (physically and mentally) when I do it - even if it's something small. Making the time and getting into the routine though is tough, I know.

    I've been thinking about Bumblebee, and I hope she is doing ok...

  • chickadee ;; you're absolutely right. & with me, it's not even that I don't like exercising. I KNOW that I feel better physically & mentally when I do the smallest exercise. I feel more energized & I work up a healthy appetite too ;; I am in a slump because of overtime work, but I've already decided that if I do nothing else ;; I'm gonna do a 15 minute/mile walk ;; at least it will get my heart rate up .. && I hope bumblebee is alright too .. I know she wasn't feeling well ..

  • Hi guys! I'm back and feeling a lot better! I had a tough week being sick.. I realised it was the first time I was sick in a very long time (I'm talking 8-9 months) and I had strep throat, it was really bad... I was so miserable! But luckily the prescription the Doc. gave me really worked and worked pretty fast. I am finally myself again and really am trying to get OP again. I haven't been counting at all and have literally been sedentary all the time I was sick So I am trying to work my way up in exercise again as well as eating healthier. Today went really well as my first day back into my routine. Thanks you guys for the kindness and concern you are all so great & doing so well sticking to your plans! Its very motivational

    Yesterday I went to bed shortly after getting home from work, and that's the reason my calories were so low. I never made it to dinner or my evening snacks, which is where half my caloric intake each day comes from. But then I was up at 1am for the day today, and made "dinner" for my husband when he got home from work at 6am... so that went on today's calories. I was pretty hungry most of the day today, but at least ate normally the rest of the day and stayed within my calorie limit. I was tempted to eat more though to make up for the low cal day yesterday!!!

    Today's weather was lovely so I took my dog for a long walk in the park w/ family, I am tired from all that walking up hill! But I have been struggling a lot with eating well. My family made a cake and bought tons of Easter candy so I am finding it hard to not eat it all. I have no problem eating it if it's in my calorie intake, its just the urge to binge on it is the hard part. I need to mentally address this problem, In my head I am like trying to sabotage my progress and I am trying to find/make up excuses to mess up its terrible I am not going to let myself do that! I'll just have to keep busy.
