And my official post-bloat weight is... 173. Another 1.6 lbs off. Actually it was 172.8 but I am trying to stay away from fractions of lbs. Number logged in, 4.6 so far, and another little progression towards the 168 mini-goal that will take me past the next stone.

That's 65lbs team total as at this morning, wow! From next monday I am going to reshuffle the sheet so that we are keeping the averages to only the people who have updated weights since the start and then we'll really be able to see how we are doing, but trying to be fair to people with crazy busy lives.

I hope the people who haven't posted updates are just too busy or forgot and not that they've given up already. The year is young and Valentine's Day still a month away!

I just joined up! I think the table is great, that's the maths geek in me trying to get out!

My stats look pretty terrible at the moment, gained 2 pounds in the first week and then haven't budged them since, but this week has been great and the weight has suddenly started dropping off so I'm just willing monday to come so I can post my new weight (lowest it's been in ages).

I was just admiring everyone'e stats and you know what I just noticed? Once again...I'm the fattest person in the room.

Oh well... ;)

There'll be all the bigger cheers for you when you reach your goal. When you've lost 20lbs it's like that's nothing, people seem to think they could ratchet that up in a weekend if they really wanted to, like there's been no work involved (I wish!!)

Think of the wisdom you will have to offer on the summer challenge when you are so much closer, the Christmas challenge when you have one of those tickers that's right near goal and everyone is thinking OMG how on earth is that possible, I could never do that, that person is completely amazing.

I can never remember who said it first but it's good wisdom on here that does the rounds, time passes anyway, you can either change your habits or keep them as they were. When I started this 4 months ago I couldn't begin to conceive of lasting as long as 4 months (even though the master plan is to be losing until probably June before tackling maintenance) and now I look back and it doesn't seem like it's been that long, and if I just take it one day at a time then it just seems to get there somehow, that every 1lb that doesn't seem like anything week by week suddenly turns into 10lbs over 10 weeks, 20lbs in 20 weeks.

It's Monday again, challengers, and time for those weigh-ins. I've managed to shift another 2lbs so I am super-excited. My next mini-goal is in sight, and I have my hospital admission date and can realistically see my mini-goal getting reached in time, going in on 31st unless anything else gets in the way (if they aren't happy with my weight to do the full op I'm not going, no way am I settling for a half a job now I know what they could achieve).

Fingers crossed for that 168 goal, it's the next major BMI step, it's the complete 2 stone and it's the next stone boundary, 167 is into the 11 stone mark. Not sure if I'm more likely to put weight on in hospital (food's appalling!) or take it off cos I won't be allowed to eat for several days, plus there's probably a 1/2lb going to get left on the operating table.

Fingers crossed for you all.

Well done RoseRodent! Another 2 pounds, awesome!

I just posted my weigh in and it's kind of disappointing that it's taken me nearly a whole month to lose the last 2.2 pounds/kilogram...I hadn't really realised that until now! I guess the only thing I can be glad about is that I think that kilogram has made more of an impact on how I look physically.

Yes, not all pounds are created equal! I have had weeks where I've lost 2lbs and it's had no effect on my clothing and weeks where I've lost 1lb and my pants have dropped off. Literally. It's back to the sewing machine for me. Am challenging myself to take in a formal shirt that I dearly love. I cannot leave it the current size (UK20, in modern vanity sizing that is now 4 sizes too large) and figure that if I do totally wreck it I was going to have to get rid of it anyway, so may as well have a go.

Slow n steady is absolutely better than nothing!

Good morning. Down 2.6 lb this week!:carrot:

This is the best week I have had so far with this challenge. I don't really know how I lost it because last week I didnt log my food and only exercised 2 days. I had to go out of town with work and it really threw me OP. I am off to a good start today though. Have a great week everyone!!

RoseRodent my loss is not being calculated in the blue column. Can you fix that for me please? Thank you in advance! :)

I am down 5.2lbs since last week. I am a little shocked and I don't why, but I am happy and will take it!

Fixed! If you miss a week you have to post something in the empty spaces, so I just repeated your starting weight. It doesn't work with empty spaces in.

You are right, I just long for the day when I feel like I fit in better ;). I have been at this for 3 months, since about the middle of October...I can't put my finger on the exact starting date. I have lost nearly 35 lbs. It really blew my mind that I could be *thin* by next christmas. Not rail thin or skinny or anything, but no one will look at me and say "wow, she is FAT!" I may have just celebrated my last "fat" christmas. In March I will have my last "fat" birthday. 35 lbs is close to 40,w hich is close to 50, which I think is awesome. My 7 year old weighs almost 60 lbs and I can't imagine walking around all day carrying him around, but that's what I'm doing! And he's my oldest! I've already shed an amount of poundage equal to my 3 year old, and I'll have lost my 5 year old before I know it....just crazy to think about.

One thing that is frustrating to me (and a lot of other people I'm sure) is that my midsection is not keeping pace with the rest of me. Looks like that will be the place I loose last. Nice, huh? I hope it catches up soon ;)

Hey! Great to see so many still posting and being active! I lost 3lbs this week. i have to credit my success to the flu and the loss of appetite that has left in it's wake (I am not complaining!) Appetite is still barely there, but I'll work with it, hopefully I can get used to smaller portions as a side-effect.

93.6lbs so far, wow, are we on fire or what? We have lost almost the weight of one person/child!!:carrot::carrot::carrot:
