12lbs for Christmas challenge
I accidentally strayed into the wrong board and thought I had signed up for a 15lbs by Christmas challenge. Unfortunately it's not open to people not on that program, but because I was pretty set on doing it I thought I'd bring it to the CC board. We've missed one week so I've brought it down to 12lbs for Christmas (or 20th December to be precise). Weigh in is dated for Mondays but you can update on whatever day you weigh in. You should be able to get into the spreadsheet and sign up your own name and weight.
Please don't tinker with the formula column, it's supposed to be showing at error at the moment becuase otherwise in week one it shows you have lost your entire body weight, I'll update the formula each Monday so it will reflect the amount of weight lost, you enter your starting weight and your weigh-in weight in whole pounds in each column. Anyone up for it? Sign up here If you are less technology minded and would like me to sign you up then post here and I'll put your name on the list. |
I'm not techy lol but sign me up.......I'll weigh in a bit and post my weight here later on. I'm sure I'm up - not a good weekend foir eating....I'm pretty much in a carb coma. Thanks for doing this!!!

I'm in and by golly I'm shooting for that 15lbs.. plus a bit, I would LOVE to be under 250 by then!

Hi, Rose :) I'm up for a challenge. I started calorie counting this morning :) after a successful fail on South Beach and the Rice Diet...and eating junk all weekend. I'm scared to weigh myself. I'll do it at noon and sign up then :)

I signed up. I haven't weighed in a few days so I put my last weight, I think it was from Wednesday - 142. I will weigh again next Thursday.

I am brand new! And excited to try this challenge! Today is the first day of my calorie counting journey. Im looking forward to reaching this first goal.

I'm definitely interested! That would put me close to my goal weight, which doesn't leave me too optimistic because as I've gotten closer to goal, my loss has slowed down considerably. However, this will definitely keep me motivated and give me some accountability and as long as I stay on track, I'll be headed in the right direction.

I joined...this is my first challenge ever. I hope to be down 23.6 lbs by Christmas but that is too ambitious... I'd live with 12 :)

I had a big woosh the past few days, Saturday I was out helping hubby cut wood.. was super sore and had gained some water weight to help heal my muscles.. I'm down 4.8lbs from Moday's weigh in!!
Getting ready to run the vacuum and then I'm gonna try to bump my 30m, 2mi WATP workout to the 3mi... hmmmm not 100% sure I'm ready, but I want to push myself.. hmmm what to do what to do ;) |

I am still at exactly 220. :dizzy: I'm about 5 days into one of my infamous stalls, so I expect to be around here for the next week or two, and then I'll have a big whoosh, if past history is any indication.

I'm having a plateau on the scales at the moment. I've lost inches I know cos I just spent another morning tied to the sewing machine taking in clothes for the second time, but nothing coming off on the scales. This always happens, I lay down muscle really easily even though I can't exactly exercise at the moment on medical orders I've been sneaking a few lifts of light weights and my Arnie Arms are back.

I'm a little confused on when and where we are supposed to put our losses. On the google docs page, it says November 8th, which is the day we started, right? So really the start weight and the 3rd column, November 8th weight should be the same?
anyways... I've been at waffling between 243 and 244 for about a week, but this morning I was 241.5. So woo hoo! I ate a lot more calories (around 2000) saturday and sunday trying to knock myself loose of the mini-plateau. So as long as I can control my chick-fil-a craving tonight, maybe it worked! :) I wanna blast through the 230s! |
I'm joining in too! I want to lose 14 lbs by New Year's so 12 lbs by Christmas is reasonable as well. I've added myself to the spreadsheet. Although, my weigh-in is from Tuesday not Monday but it shouldn't make a big difference.

Oh boy, I completely miss read the check in day for our progress. I thought the weekly weigh in was today. lol. I deleted what I entered. I can't wait until the 15th. My body has been on a weight purging spree lately. I hope it continues!

Yay! Weigh day! I had great success! This is week one for me, so that ezplains the big loss. Anyway, i will take it!

Ugh, only down 0.6 from last weigh-in. Not surprising -- I'm in the middle of one of my stalls and expect to be here for at least another week and then I'll hopefully have a whoosh.

4.5 loss!
I'm pretty impressed by the weigh in this week. I kinda of let it all go this weekend. I had been sticking pretty close to 1200-1400 calories a day. Saturday I ate about 2200 and Sunday about 1700. I wasn't expecting much of a loss, but BOOM! I saw 239.5 and just about cried! lol...
I was kind of at a plateau so I think this managed to knock it around a little. Now I'm going to stay on plan until Thanksgiving Day. That day, I will eat what I want, just watch the quantity. I also got a free elliptical machine from my friend this weekend. It's not the best kind, but it'll be great to get me started. Goal this week is to work out 3 times. Wooo HOOO! 225 by Christmas feels achievable! :carrot: Good luck everybody!!! :) |
I'm at 260.4 this morning... forget what I started at last week..lol I think I'm down 5.2 thanks to my woosh of water weight that came off last week. I'll go put it in ;)

Hope it's alright, but I just joined. A little late, but would love to be part of this challenge. In the 'blue area' is that were we continue to total our loss over the weeks? Appreciate the help.

I somehow gained half a pound to a pound towards the end of the week but I still managed a -3. It felt great to post as I've never really kept a written log of this journey.
