I'm at 177 today. Kind of mystified/annoyed. :'( The gym is closed because of the snow, so it means I have to be REALLY critical of what I'm eating... which I do not do well. Ugh, not a good day today, ladies.

ap90 12-03-2010 03:53 PM

Been busy for a few weeks now but updated my weight today. 162.2! Down 3.2 from the start.

Katy Belle 12-06-2010 07:48 AM

Weigh Day! yay!
Down another pound. Total of 11. Happy! Hoping to stick to plan better this week and drop 2.
Good luck to all!

Bac0s 12-06-2010 07:54 AM

*Finally* had the whoosh I've been waiting for. I was hoping it would be bigger, but I'll take 4.2 pounds. :)

fcuser10395743 12-06-2010 10:18 AM

I haven't weighed today. Been a depressing week with the snow, almost all my stuff comes in by mail or courier cos I can't get out. Services are all cancelled, so I've been forced to get up against advice and try to get at the world. Have tried to get out in my wheelchair and been dug out of a snowdrift a few times. Shops have only got what they have got, you can't be "picky" about your food, only I need to be "picky" to stay on plan. Took 3 hours to drive 1.9 miles this morning to get medicines that they refused to deliver even knowing they were medicines!!! I'm not taking my clothes off to find out my weight, not in this weather! Will try to update tomorrow when I am not dumb enough to go out. *resisting comfort food and wishing shop had had soup in stock*

I'd like to join if I can. I know we're down to like 2 weeks, but I've actually had a very similar goal for Christmas and have been tracking my weight. So I'll just fill in what my weight has been for the past few weeks.

I've lost 10 of the 12 lbs so far, so only 2 more to go for this challenge, which is great. But if I can, I'd like to be down to 145 by Christmas. :D

Fun challenge! I hope I signed up right...

I am down to 269.8! I have gone through three decades in the challenge and that is pretty awesome. Total loss, 14.8. In the interest of full disclosure, I decided to fast for one day (water only). Before the fast I weighed 272. After the fast I weighed 269.8. Though I plan on slowly re-introducing food, I do know I will probably be gaining some of that weight back. I decided to do a one day fast because I was tired of eating, planning food. I now feel thankful for every bit of food I have in my apartment! Also I am re-energized and ready to go!

cheryl126 12-06-2010 03:59 PM

I forgot to weigh in this morning, so I'll be posting tomorrow.

rainbowstripe 12-06-2010 11:01 PM

Rose Sorry to hear things are tough at the moment - you'd think they'd make an exception for delivering things like medicine!

Sorry I'm late to weigh in, going to do it now!!

fcuser10395743 12-07-2010 03:16 AM

A no loss for me this week. Not surprised, I lost a lot last week, and this week has been a total sodium-fest because I've been eating the canned goods out of all the cupboards because of the snow issues. Still on plan calorie-wise, but not my first choice of actual food. I expect great things from next week. *fingers crossed*

That and the fact that 1lb is such an important step towards my first mini-goal so of course it had to not meet it, cos life's like that. ;)

Shuffled the table a little so we can keep our running total, and congrats to onedayatatime, first gold medal winner, 12lbs and more!

Newcomers are still welcome, on the proviso that unless you are over 200lbs and you are in the first couple of weeks of your weight loss journey you don't attempt to lose the full 12lbs in the next few weeks, that's not healthy.

skigirl84 12-07-2010 08:53 AM

Down one more lb this week and as of this morning I have offically lost my first 5 lbs! In a little over a month, slow but steady. I don't think I will be hitting 12 lbs by christmas but I would love to be under 160 for chirstmas, even if its just 159.9!

ap90 12-08-2010 12:17 PM

Down 1.2 lbs since Friday. Must be the bikram yoga! I have lost 4.4 overall since the start of the challenge so 7.6 lbs to go.

ap90 12-08-2010 12:19 PM

I also want to add how amazing it is that together we have lost 117 lbs in the last few weeks!

THAT is *really* cool.

rainbowstripe 12-12-2010 11:03 PM

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been very active in chatting. About to weigh in as Monday is nearly over here in New Zealand!

fcuser10395743 12-13-2010 02:42 AM

Looks like I am having to work doubly hard for every ounce at the moment but it's a loss, another 1.5lbs. That's 7 off so far in the challenge, so I won't be meeting the 12lbs but it's been really good fun playing.

Most important is that it's that final 1lb required to meet my first mini-goal, I'm not obese any more! :carrot::carrot: I'm probably not going to meet the goals set by the surgeon who cannot add up, but I bet he'll be surprised to see what a different this 18lbs has actually made.

rainbowstripe 12-13-2010 02:46 AM

Rose You are doing so great I think anyway! I'm only down 7 pounds as well... but I think we've both done great anyway - also reaching no longer obese is a great milestone - I think I just got there as well!!

I plugged your stats into the calculator and you are 29.7, so jump up and do a little :carrot::carrot::carrot: for the grand "not obese any more" moment.

one day at a time 12-13-2010 11:40 AM

I am up but still in the 12lb loss zone which is awesome. I would love to get back down to 260-something before Christmas. Why I am up? Probably because of fasting and the one day off I had for my birthday. Now I understand why they say you should slowly work your calories up while enter maintenance. Though I had 3k calories on my birthday, my daily average intake was around 1800. No where near what is needed to warrant such a weight gain.

Oh well one day at time.

cheryl126 12-20-2010 09:58 AM

I just put in my final weight. Somehow I've gained 2lbs, but I've started exercising more and my clothes are fitting better despite this, so no complaints over here!

skigirl84 12-20-2010 10:23 AM

I didnt reach 12lbs. But I have lost 7lbs since this challenge started which makes me really happy! I am still aiming to be under 160 by Christmas. This morning I was 160.0 so hopefully after a good day of eating and session with my trainer tonight I will see 159 on the scale. That will be the best Christmas present to myself!

bigmamatexas 12-20-2010 10:42 AM

Good Morning! Just thought i'd step in this morning before I leave for the pool. Going to do 60 min of water arobics and 30 water jogging and maybe 30 of swim laps if this old hip thats been hurting let me. The soreness has gone but there seems to be a knot in my hip so I just got my fingers cross that I can get back to my excercising. Go to TOPS tonight will see what my weight is now and plus i'm going to be speaking on "Getting fit after 50" And yes I am very nervous. But I will be speaking on basiclly what ive learnt and been doing for my weight lost. Well got to get dress and go have a good day and i'll drop by later tonight and report in.:dust::swim:
:snowfight

Bac0s 12-22-2010 07:51 AM

I might make it! I had a whoosh this week. I'm at 208.6 as of this morning, and 208 will be 12 pounds lost. I'm close!

fcuser10395743 12-23-2010 01:30 PM

Well congratulations to everyone and hope to see people over at the Valentine Challenge. We've lost a whole person! Nearly 140lbs off in 6 weeks, average loss of 2.82% bodyweight even including those who didn't manage to report back each week, top loss of over 7%, serious effort here everyone, and so many have hit the 5% target that makes such a huge improvement in your health, fantastic effort and see you on the next one. I won't be weighing in the first week because I don't have scales here, so fingers crossed, that first post-festive weigh-in OMG!
